A busy little post office which serves the local community. It stocks a wide variety of greetings…read morecards, pens, packaging, envelopes etc.. The staff are very Friendly & helpful, they are very efficient and are never phased when you turn up with 10 Ebay packages to post! Early mornings can be busy especially Thursdays which must be pension/benefit day as the queue seems to be crazy and best avoided. There is absolutely no parking outside the post office, the closest parking is on Palatine or outside Tesco on Central Drive, it's not very handy.
Long established newsagents and post office serving Newton Drive and Normoss. As well as all the…read moreusual PO services it stocks newspapers, magazines, greetings cards, pop, sweets, milk and a few basic supplies. Also a good range of padded envelopes and a few office type supplies such as printer paper. There aren't many of these convenient small local post offices still surviving these days so long may it continue! :-)
Same as previous reviewer last year Found the lady owner to be customer unfocused. Came in with…read moregenuine concern that Normoss still appears as a check and send post office. Wife made two trips to then be told they could not provide that anymore. When I went in to complain with a list from a link on the Gov website, her response was that it is Post Office Plc that deal with the website and it isn't her fault. Asked if she had reported it she said yes. When did you last follow up this? Her answer - 2 and half years ago. Right. So you haven't really followed this issue up then? She then started lecturing about the different layers at Post Office and that Plc are not helpful. The customer does not care! Your job is to make sure these things are kept up-to-date so the customer does not need up being misled. I have noticed signs up over the few years she has run the Post Office. One said that you had to greet the staff to get served. I often wondered about that. Now I realise the lady has a chip on her shoulder and has no idea about working in a customer focused industry. My comments were fair, polite, backed with evidence and no swearing or aggression. Her attitude was, rolling eyes, shrugging shoulders and sighing. Needless to say, we won't be using this PO again. All she needed to say was we are really sorry and we will report again now. When you pop in next I will let you know the outcome. Job done.

Simply book a time and date and pay the fee and Jude takes all the hassle out of checking whether or not the photograph meets the Guidelines which are strict before sending off your Renewal Application which Jude did in my case. Many Thanks Jude Roy H.
Very busy post office, probably because most of the more convenient other local post offices have…read morebeen closed down. Consequently there is often a long queue. However long the queue is though they always have to try and sell you car insurance, a savings account, a mobile top up or something else that you haven't asked for and don't want. Passport service (and photo booth), car taxation and a Bureau de Change are all available along with the usual PO services. However if you just need some stamps I'd go to WH Smith across the square.

I was treated with kindness and patience throughout and never made to feel a nuisance. Since the family have owned this post office, I have always been served with courtesy and friendliness. Since the closure of the local branch post offices, trying to get to the counter in this one is…read moresomewhat of a challenge. The staff are friendly and helpful - but that cannot change the fact that there are rarely more than 3 people behind the counter and usually at least 20 people queuing. The queuing area is hot and cramped and standing for long periods of time makes everybody irritated and faint - which means that the poor staff are often forced to bear the brunt of this dissatisfaction. The queue is made longer because of the ridiculous policy of the small shop at the entrance to the Post Office not selling stamps! They sell postal envelopes, boxes, wrapping, pens, sweets etc - but if you want stamps you need to queue up at the main counters at the back of the building. Ridiculous! If you do need to post or collect items, leave yourself plenty of time to do so.
