Since the closure of the local branch post offices, trying to get to the counter in this one is somewhat of a challenge.
The staff are friendly and helpful - but that cannot change the fact that there are rarely more than 3 people behind the counter and usually at least 20 people queuing.
The queuing area is hot and cramped and standing for long periods of time makes everybody irritated and faint - which means that the poor staff are often forced to bear the brunt of this dissatisfaction.
The queue is made longer because of the ridiculous policy of the small shop at the entrance to the Post Office not selling stamps! They sell postal envelopes, boxes, wrapping, pens, sweets etc - but if you want stamps you need to queue up at the main counters at the back of the building. Ridiculous!
