Comprehensive detailed answers to all of my questions, assisted my decisions on how long the job would take, appreciated the explanation regarding oil based paint on our window frames, our house is older custom home where most all remodel, painting plumbing air is more complicated so experienced advice is very important. He was the first to respond, early and on time, even early every day. Room looks like new. Note: we just put in new carpet, did an excellent job totally covering the carpet. Efficient, informative and a good communicator. He's busy book in advance. read more

I recently hired Martin to paint a concrete wall at my home, and I couldn't be happier with the results. From start to finish, he was professional, punctual, and paid great attention to detail. He made sure to properly prepare the surface before painting, which gave me confidence that the finish would last. The final result looks fantastic--the coverage is smooth and even, and the color turned out exactly how I wanted. My wall now looks clean, fresh, and completely transformed. Martin also worked efficiently and kept everything neat throughout the project, which I really appreciated. Overall, Martin did an excellent job and clearly takes pride in his work. I would definitely recommend him to anyone looking for a reliable and skilled painter. read more

I usually don't write reviews, but I wanted to share my experience with Martin. He did a great job painting my home. Martin is honest, reliable, and skilled. He made sure everything was done well and always put my satisfaction first. I recommend meeting him for a quote. I'm very happy with his work. read more

TL;DR - Avoid, let my experience be a red flag. They will over quote you, give you a "discount" and then try to pressure you into committing. This isn't professional and I would not recommend to anyone. Edit: now they're saying I committed over the phone? Who commits to a contractor over the phone!? I never agreed to anything. Also why would they offer me a discount if I supposedly committed already? Please just stop and accept responsibility; move on. The experience I had was unprofessional and I'm sorry I have more than half a brain cell. Have you ever had a bad feeling before you even commit to something? That was the case for this contractor. I was looking to get the exterior of a house painted, the trim and stucco so I reached out. As soon as I got on the phone with them, they tried to play the numbers game. Trying to guess how much other contractors quoted me and how much I spent on paint (thats a story for another time). Maybe it's because I'm a woman but they started talking to me like I haven't been shopping around. Ok, whatever I scheduled a meeting with him to come over and I saw that he was prompt, early even. He texted me that he was outside so I walked out to meet him. He didn't even bother introducing himself or making eye contact with me, just stared at the house and started critiquing, noting all the things out loud what the exterior needed. Then he proceeded to explain to me what kind of property the house was (yeah, we are fully aware that the property builders made the homes just to sell them, thanks). Then he started listing all the things we need to replace because of his expertise (things that a handful of contractors didn't even mention). At this point I just wanted him to give me a quote and be done with it. He was fully aware of the specific type of paint I got, but proceeded to tell me I would need primer. The paint I got already had primer in it but I don't say anything and he tells me that will be extra and that I NEED to get the primer or the job would look bad. He tells me it'll cost about $12k for a house that is about 2141 sq ft (including materials and labor) despite having already bought majority of the necessary paint. Then he keeps talking and tells me if I get the materials myself he'll discount it to $6k and that he can start right away because he's in between projects since he had a cancellation. He left and then texted me again saying that he would charge me only $6k for labor. I don't respond and he texts me again saying he'll discount it to $5k. I told him we reach out if we decide to go with him. He responded asking when we want to start the job. I don't respond. 6 hours later he texts me again telling me that he'll give me a discount if I commit to start Wednesday. At this point, I'm just getting all the bad vibes so I texted him "we have decided to go with someone else. Thank you for your time." and he responds with "Saved me on almost lowering my standards thanks for choosing someone else ". Yeah I'm glad I'm going with someone else. I whole heartedly believe I just saved myself from a lot of pain and suffering dealing with a rude and unprofessional individual. read more

Martin did an awesome job painting our home exterior. After an in person walk through and consultation, he thoroughly explained pricing, process, and project scope. Right away we could tell how dedicated he is to his craft/trade. His vast knowledge of paint products and their chemical composition/makeup and what works best on which surfaces is second to none. Although he offers his own paint, which I found - through my own research - reasonably priced and high quality, we opted to get our own. Nonetheless, he helped us make the best paint selections and offered plenty of advice along the way. What put him a step above anyone I've had work on our house for anything, was his focus on getting us the best outcome for our project and delivering as much value to us within our allotted budget. Not only did he throw in a few extras like painting our entire cinderblock wall and stairs for free, he also offered to stucco the small retaining wall we have on our lawn. He told us he could also just tell us what we needed to buy and he could guide us through all the steps we would need to take if we wanted to do it ourselves. With this, we definitely did not feel like his goal was to upsell us more services, but, again, to provide the most value and to ensure we would be completely satisfied with the appearance of our home post project and beyond. He left our house completely spotless - without any spills or overspray on any surfaces we did not want painted. It was a pleasure working with him and, all in all, I would definitely recommend working with someone as dedicated to the client/customer experience and his trade as Martin is to his. read more

My neighbor and I hired Martins' team to casd our front doors, and they did a great job. My door is facing south, so is in bad shape due to many years of abusing by the force of nature, including sunshine and rain. The door was sanded and refinished, and now looks very nice. It can't be like new anymore, but at least is in much more descent shape. read more

We'd had Martin do a couple of small jobs for us and we were very impressed. We hired him again - this time to paint the exterior of our home. He did an awesome job! He is very knowledgeable, very thorough, and had great ideas on how to enhance the look of our house. He went above and beyond, was very pleasant to deal with and clearly takes pride in his work. His rates are very reasonable, and he showed up every day on time and worked through that terrible heatwave we just had. I would highly recommend Martin. read more

Martin came down quickly to offer an estimate and kept in touch though texts. He answered additional questions promptly and was patient while I contemplated hiring him. The day the project began, his crew showed up early to prep. They covered anything that I didn't cover myself, they didn't damage anything, and they cleaned up quickly. There was one miscommunication which was solved with no hassle. Very happy with the end result. read more

I want to change my initial review. I immediately wrote a review once he finished the interior paint job. I should have waiting 24-48 to make final payment after reviewing everything. Once I mentioned the issues that still needed addressing radio silence from him. The exterior paint job was fine. On the interior job they did not remove the light switch/plug covers. They painted over them. When removed it took off all the paint around that area. I have multiple text messages to him about that and over spray I needed to have fixed. Literally have not replied I'm 2 weeks. I didn't k notice at the time but they also painted over the cabinet hinges and it looks terrible. I have text messages back and forth with nothing being done on his end. I've now declined to pass his name along based on his lack of response to any of my issues. At this point I have photos for anyone who wants to see also I have our last text correspondence which he has never responded to! read more

Martin did a great job! Thorough and detailed in his work. I am really happy with the external paint on our home.

Always professional and listened to what I imagined my home to look like and brought my vision to life. Always on time. Great prices.

We have had a lot of work done on our house and Martin is one of the most professional contractors we have used. He answered all questions, was on time every day, did great work, great pricing and he is also licensed. We had him paint our kitchen cabinets. They were different kinds of woods and finishes. He took his time and even did a a little research to ensure they were done and made to last. As soon as we can afford it we will also have him paint our house exterior. I will definitely be recommending Martin to anyone that needs painting services. Before and after pictures attached. He made the kitchen look brighter. read more

Thought I would write this review on behalf of Martin's Pro Painting. Though we didn't hire Martin, but no he wasn't great. It was a time crunch issue on our end and schedules. Thank you Martin for coming out and we hope to do business with you in the future. read more

I gathered 6-7 bids for my house exterior paint project and Martin's quote was among the most competitive. However it was Martin's communication and work ethics that won the job. He was able to work around my schedule and squeeze my project in, starting everyday at 730am sharp and finishing in just under 2 weeks. I loved the fact that he was super involved on the job site everyday and we were able to communicate any issue on the spot. In addition to a fresh coat of paint, my house also needed a good amount of stucco repair and termite-damaged wood trim repair. Martin was very detailed and highly skilled in fixing everything. I will definitely go to Martin for my next paint job! read more

Martin heard my request to be mindful to the attention to reasonable detail on an Uptown Whittier home with original redwood siding. He produced showcase results! I thought I was going to tackle my kitchen job myself until I did some research and saw how involved it was. I wanted it done right so I turned to Yelp and interviewed 4 painters. I had a lot of questions and I appreciated the way Martin explained his prep and painting process. I asked several questions and he answered them all and wasn't bothered by them. We agreed on a start date and a finish date. He started on time the first day and finished on time and was punctual every morning. I also had several questions throughout the process which he answered and wasn't annoyed by them. I look like I have a new kitchen. The cabinets are beautiful. I have some other projects I'll be getting done in the future and will definitely be reaching out to Martin. Thank you again Martin for the hard work and beautiful job you did! read more

Martin is very professional, incredible work and pays attention to details best price.

If you want someone who is priced competitively and able to work with your busy schedule, go with Martin. We needed to get our kitchen stairs and patio painted and went out to get quotes. Martin was not the cheapest nor the most expensive but definitely priced fairly. His team was able to quickly prepare all the areas and schedule all the work to be done in time. Martin and his team created as many plastic seals around the project sites to reduce the amount of dust floating around. However, there is still a lot of dust that travel around the home, so be prepared to hire a cleaning company or spend some time to dust your house. For the quality of work and the knowledge that Martin has, the price was worth it. read more

TL;DR : Martin is someone who would be the epitome of more than fair in terms of pricing, superb in workmanship and your best friend if he didn't already fill that spot ages ago. If I were you, reading this review. Ask if he has an open space because this man is busy and you would want him handling your projects. Now then, I will be honest as humanely possible, I'm sitting here and he left maybe twenty minutes ago. I'm eating cereal because I just kind of want to on a Sunday afternoon because I have to work on the weekends later, I'm sad eating. We had about half the interior of the house done, previous painters from before and busy (Which is good!) we weren't sure where to go as we never really planned ahead of that, or at least I didn't. My wife leaves looking and finding people to me. But you know, WE when it counts! We had a video call for an estimate, and he gave me the rate for the labor. It sounded fair as I already went and asked several others. It was one of the more affordable estimates. Yelp kind of blasts those requests to people and I am too lazy to change that function when it prompts me every time. Two in which dropped by and gave me an in person review too. I checked his page and his stuff seemed pretty solid to me. He came early, very early. I don't think people wake up this early to work on things and the light wasn't even out yet. We greeted and went over the project again, he immediately started with another fellow. I don't remember his name, but he was friendly to me and I kinda feel bad that I didn't ask. They went to work, and these two were like beasts. I never seen someone go hard on painting, but they wasted no effort and time to prep every room and area. I felt like it should have taken two days, sure. I believe they could have knocked it out, but they took the time to go over their own work and make sure every spot was immaculate and nothing was overturned. They got (literally) every nook and cranny. Even getting some spots that were missed previously before on the last paint job. I couldn't be happier with Martin's service. I can spend all day flaunting about what a great finish he completed the project. But really, nothing I can say can give it justice on what he can do for you. His rates were superb and he didn't have no hidden fees or random up charges. He even gave us a discount because he is a member with all the equipment and tools he procured. He passed every single savings on to us. Really, I expected some more costs here and there. I get it, I'm used to it. But no this guy, Martin was transparent the whole way and gave me the exact rate we agreed on and the supplies. Nothing more and nothing less, I was floored. He did THIS? For that much!? Anyways, you read it this far. Schedule and an appointment, and ask for an estimate, because it doesn't hurt. And Martin has a his own self pride in his work and he will take care of your projects as his own. He's my guy now, we might not be best friends. But I can tell people, that I know a guy who can do whatever involves paint and can recommend them someone for the job. That someone, is Martin. Edit : I don't got updated pictures yet, I took pictures of my cats so it's not very helpful here in any regard. But my wife has the before and after shots, she's making me rearrange furniture since everything is painted now. But, soon! read more
