We have used New Generation Painting several times for our painting projects. Obed has done the interior of our home. New Generation Painting was very neat, clean, on time and finished quickly. Then we used New Generation Painting for our commercial building when we purchased it. The place was a mess!! Dirty, old paint, dark hideous color. Obed from New Generation Painting made the place sparkle. He patched, power washed, and painted everything inside and out. It is beautiful and our customers comment daily about how great it looks. New Generation Painting is now doing the outside of our home. Once again a top notch job. We highly recommend New Generation Painting. read more

Very happy with the work done by Obed and his team. They removed the popcorn ceiling, smoothed out and repainted the walls. We were torn on the colors so he put a couple of the colors we liked on the wall so we could see it. He explained to us what the process was going to look like and how each day will go. He was also able to accommodate added requests as we progressed. Our house looks completely different and my family loves it. We recommend Obed and his team and would use him for future jobs. read more

Definitely not worth what we paid. The job was expensive but Obed rushed through like we were an inconvenience. To this day, we find areas that he missed, paint spattered on the walls, and areas where the corners and ceiling do not come together. We paid way too much for the crappy job we got. And Obed rushed off the job to leave the country, so we didn't find it worth our time to pursue him fixing the botjob. If you want a job done quick and you have extra money laying around, he's your guy. Otherwise, if you care about your house and the quality of work you get, keep searching. Feels like when you're paying close to $10k for a job, there would be prude in the work and attention to detail. We got neither. read more

Screening for a good painter who removes popcorn/acoustic ceiling and then preps, paints and touches up for completion. I came across Obed the owner of H&C Painting, he was detailed oriented went over what he was going to do and he executed. Very upfront so no hidden charges. Very easy to deal with, he did an amazing job and I highly recommend him. Like the saying goes you get what you paid for. read more

Every single step of the way Obed was amazing. I truly appreciate when contractors are super responsive. We set up an initial appointment for the estimate. I let him know wasn't able to make it and that my mother would open the home up to him. The day of the appointment he was on time and called me so that we could go over some of the items that we wanted taken care of. Honestly, at this point in time I had written off that we were going to repaint our house. The previous residents had someone repaint the house but it was not up to our standards. We were thinking that it was probably out of our budget and that we could live with the crap paint job. But Obed's awesome reviews online and his pricing convinced us otherwise. We decided to move forward and schedule the paint job. We met to go over what we wanted and was handed the Dunn Edwards paint swatch booklet? to choose colors, met the next day to see the swatches painted on the walls and moved forward! He was on time and when he ran late he let us know ahead of time. Our home was vacant so he proceeded to clean the house so that it doesn't interfere with the job. There were spider webs, spiders, and dead insects that he took the time to clean up. Then he taped off the floor, blocked the vents, blocked the recessed light holes and prepped for the ceilings, inside closets and baseboards. The following day we went over what colors were on which walls. And he proceeded to get the paint on the walls. The total crew for our house was four guys including Obed. All of them super polite. One of the guys even asked me about this one problem area and I told him not to worry about it because the previous painter destroyed the area. Whatever he could sama age to make it look decent was fine by me. The final outcome is beautiful. Nice straight lines, even coats of paint, no drips. Absolutely beautiful. We truly appreciate Obed and his crews hard work! The husband really enjoys his interactions with Obed because Obed is proud of the work he puts out and that's the type of people we want to work with. We met with three companies and had three estimates. New Generation had the great communication, the great price and the great personality. Highly recommend New Generation Painting! read more

Obed and his team did a great job of painting my home. I need various touchups throughout the house as well as painting the baseboards, mouldings, and window/door trims before moving in. Obed and his crew are fantastic!! In addition to following through on everything they said they were going to do - they were always on time, were extremely easy to work with (super nice people) - and they did an absolutely phenomenal job on our kitchen!! We have over 65 cabinets that were oak and they prepped and painted, added handles, etc. We are thrilled with it! They also painted the kitchen and the living room. Great, great, great!! Will definitely hire them again. read more

Wow is the best word I can think of. First he painted our first home in Downey. Gave us a price that he stuck to even after he found some extra damage that was not visible at first and also gave us some ideas. ( see first picture ) his entire team was professional and clean. Unlike other contractors I have dealt with he actually is there working with his guys and correcting any things he does not like. I knew I had found my go to person when it came to painting. When we moved out we called him. It was out of his area but we wanted him to do the job since we knew how well he worked. He accommodated things so he could take up the job. He is great at communicating and we never had to hunt him down to get a hold of him. Attention to detail is one thing he is really good at read more

I give my highest recommendation to Obed and his New Generation Painting crew. Very professional in every facet of his work. He provided a very fair quote and also gave me great suggestions on paint colors to use throughout my house. He and his crew were meticulous in properly prepping the walls. They did not just slap paint on a wall and move on, instead they sanded and patched my old house and then painted with high quality paint. They did a great job protecting my new hardwood floors and did a great job in their final clean up. Hard working crew arrived every day on time and ready to work hard. Their was no messing around or calling to keep them on track. They performed like a contractor company should perform. Obed (owner) is very courteous and professional. Living proof that the American dream is real and achievable when motivation, gratitude are mixed with a strong work ethic. You will not be disappointed with this painting company and I doubt you will find anyone better for your painting needs. read more

Obed and his crew worked hard and did what I thought was an amazing job. However, less than 2 months later I noticed severe bubbling on one side of the house. My husband and I both called Obed, and I've texted him several times. He told me he was out of the country and his crew had COVID. I understand that we are not living in ordinary times. I texted him again several weeks later asking for some to contact me about fixing the bubbling. His response was that touch up work is not guaranteed. Yet I still never heard from anyone about coming out to check out the bubbling. I am extremely disappointed, and several neighbors have asked me if I would recommend our painter, and I've had to tell them no. I'm rather embarrassed that I went with New Generation based on Yelp reviews, and ended up with a shoddy paint job that needs to be redone less than 4months later. I highly recommend taking your business elsewhere. read more

In deciding to get our house painted, my Husband and I decided to search on YELP like we do for most tasks we need done. After reading SEVERAL reviews we found Obed. I put out feelers to other businesses as well but Obed was the first to respond and come by. After speaking with him and seeing how knowledgeable he was we kinda felt we found our guy even before we received his quote. Some people just have a way about them. Obed came off honest and fair but we still had 2 more people coming out with estimates so we pushed forward. After doing all our homework we decided to go with Obed. He wasn't the cheapest and he wasn't the most expensive, Obed was right where we knew he would be . . . Obed contacted me to let me know when they would be coming out. The day of went great. Odeb and his crew we extremely polite and considerate of everything we asked of them. He literally walked us through the whole process and by the end of 3rd day, they had done an absolute miracle. My house needed a lot of love and Obed made sure it came out just as I imagined. Now all I need is my black shutters installed and I will be happy . . . for now . . . LOL! There is only one word I can use to describe our experience and the professionalism of the work completed by Obed and his guys "EXCELLENT" I could not be happier. They painted the entire exterior of my home and completed their work in 3 days. Always showed up on time and worked well into the early evening hours. Obed had me pick 3 colors which I would be interested in which he then painted a sample of all 3 so that I could compare before making a final decision. I could not be happier, my house looks like a completely different house. Will definitely use them again for the interior of my home. The price as well was very reasonable for all the work that was required and completed. Thank you so much Obed and crew... read more

Met and hired Obed to repaint our patio structure. The underside of the aluminum type cover also needed to be stripped and primed before it could be painted. We have an extremely large patio area and Obed did an amazing job. Punctual, super neat, organized... And an awesome personality. Our goal is to revamp the entire backyard before big holiday season starts in November. Very pleased with Obed's work on Phase I. I highly recommend New Generation Painting. This house hadn't been painted in 20 years and needed lots of prep work. I called for a bid and Raul contacted me quickly. We are about to finish our house remodeling and we have been dealing with MANY contractors for the last 7 months. Let me tell you NO ONE has come close as these guys in their high level of customer service, due diligence, and professionalism. After getting bets from several painters, we decided to go with this company since Obed followed up several times. He had competitive pricing and he was willing to do what we asked him to use for paint brand which was even more expensive than the brand they normally use.  He assigned this big job to Urbano and this guy and his crew were just awesome! I have never seen contractors working so hard to make sure the customer is completely satisfied. I am beyond satisfied and I am so glad I have found these guys. We hired them to paint both inside and outside of the house and so far they have finished painting inside the house. They showed up every day and I have seen Urbano working until really late ( which contractor cares so much to work till 10 pm?) to make sure they finished the job on time. These people are a kind wonderful team of individuals. If you have a paint job, don't even hesitate to hire these guys. Trust me on that since now I have so much experience working with different contractors and dealing with contractor nightmares. read more

Obed at New Generation Painting came highly recommended by the local Dunn Edwards in Artesia. He's a licensed painter (I didn't even know there were lic for painting) and legit contractor. No funny business here guys. I had a painter but he wasn't up to par with my picky standards so I decided to get a quote from Obed. He was quick to respond and he texts and emails! Idk texting and emailing makes communication easier for me.. Everybody's on the same page, has all the details hashed out and makes it easier to communicate while I'm working. I had him paint while my master bed and bath was being remodeled. He came in on time both days and finished as scheduled. It made incorporating him into my remodel a piece of cake and flowed smoothly. Now for the nitty gritty.. He covered my new floors and protected them very well. The paint is nice and even throughout and the baseboards look amazing. Where there were cracks and seams.. He filled them up, painted over and made them look seamless! My textured walls had straight lines and even the grooves between door frames and walls. He got all those dang crevices in my textured walls. I had to repaint later due to water damage and I'm looking at what I thought was a pretty good repaint job by me but nope.. I see the whites that I missed. The level of detail he puts into painting cannot be mimicked. He sands things down before he paints.. This is the kind of painter you want. I had two nasty large closet rolley doors that I was going to replace.. I told him not to quote or bother with them because I thought they were so bad and was at no return. I came home and he had decided to sand and paint them anyways lol and dayuum they looked great!!! So great that I kept them after all!! Saved me 300 bucks to replace. Yelpers, if you want a very very reasonable up front honest price, detailed work, on time and on schedule, and miracle paint jobs then give this guy a call/text for a quick quote. Obed will not disappoint you. He is worth every penny seriously. I'm definitely having him come back to paint the exterior of my house later this year. read more
