I took it to a body shop to get a temporary fix . It worked for about a month but they only refilled the Freon so after a few weeks it stopped working again since there was a leak. Took about 3 weeks just to get an appointment. Total cost to fix the AC $6k. DO NOT WASTE YOUR TIME OR MONEY. The dealership is so greedy they refused to give me any slack on the cost of this repair. A shop would've charged $3-4k on this versus the $6k that I had to pay. And I couldn't take it anywhere else for a second opinion because I had already waited 3 weeks for this appointment. They told me it was an 18 hour labor intensive repair but it was done the next day... don't see how that's possible. My lesson learned . Go to a body shop . The dealership will suck your money dry.

In a twist, Volvo (now owned by the same Chinese parent company as Polestar) which ostensibly has the same software on their vehicles is being allowed to continue selling new models in the US. I showed up there one day---Alex Kocherhin took me on a tour and showed the available Polestar 2's. Most of them had low miles, but were in great condition, and were available for amazing prices. In the end, I bought a midnight blue Polestar 2 with only 4500 miles and the pilot and plus packs for $25000---the original new-car price of this was more than $60000. Alex was extremely helpful to answer my millions of questions and never pushed me to sell anything like an extended warranty or additional packages. I completed the sale today. His manager and the other people in the dealership were also so good. It is hard to believe that car-buying can be such a pleasant experience. If you are in the market for a new or used car, give them a chance---you won't be disappointed.

In my experience, dealing with car salesmen is like trying to make friends with your prison bunk mate who you just met and you play nice with at first but aren't sure whether or not they're going to shank you in your sleep. This was my experience for most dealers as one by one they refused to provide quotes, ghosted me or outright insulted me for daring to take their sh*tty quote and share it with another dealer to see if they were willing to beat said sh*tty quote. But Katharine at Faulkner was like a breath of fresh air compared to the two faced monsters at most of the other dealers. She was kind, genuine, responsive and great to work with through a process that I hated from the moment I reached out to my first dealership. I wish the car buying experience could be what Katharine provided for everyone interested in purchasing a vehicle. I highly recommend Katharine for your saleswoman and encourage anyone who is interested in buying a vehicle to ask for her by name if you want a car buying experience that all dealerships should strive for.
