Working with Odalys and Vanessa are a great team. The planning process was easy, stress free. Four days before my wedding, I was advised my caterer had a family emergency and wasn't coming. As we were driving to Santa Barbara from Northern California I was "dialing for dinner" with absolutely no luck. I was preparing myself for pizzas or buckets of chicken for my wedding guests. It was suggested by someone who took pity on us, while telling me they were booked, to call Martino's. With a heavy heart I called. Vanessa answered, listened to my tale of woe and said she would call me back. When she did, she told me they were booked but wanted to help us. They would be able to provide the food, tables for the food, the linen and all things needed for the event, but no staff was available. As luck would have it, I had hired my friends daughter to help oversee my wedding so I wouldn't have to worry about details and she had friends that would help. My husband and I knew that we wanted Mexican food at our wedding, and we trusted Martinos to deliver. We picked them because we wanted to support a Latino-owned business, and we trusted them to make delicious, authentic Mexican food. We got nonstop compliments about the food at our wedding-- particularly the ceviche, the carne asada, and the pollo de tres chiles. All the food tasted fresh and well-seasoned. Martinos cooked all of the meat on site which meant that it stayed hot and juicy-- no dry chicken or steak! The servers were very professional and got our 150 guests served quickly. Odalys was my main contact throughout our long wedding planning process, and she was so lovely. She was responsive and kind and sensitive when we had to re-schedule due to covid. I could not say enough good things about Martino's Catering. I met them years ago through a company I worked for and asked that they cater my wedding in 2014. I tell everyone I know that they were my one stop shop for our wedding. Martino handled everything, from tables and chairs, linens, food, wait staff and even the dance floor! They set it all up and took it all down! I did not have to worry about coordinating multiple vendors because they did it ALL! Their food is just amazing and very custom to whatever style you are going for! Referred to us by our wedding venue and then our photographer and florist both recommended them so we had to meet with them. We are so glad we did! They were the only ones who followed up with us, going out of their way to accommodate a tasting and have great communication. My husband and I first tried Martino's food at a wedding expo in Santa Barbara (at the Earl Warren Showgrounds). There was definitely no comparison on the quality - both in taste and presentation - of the food. The food and beverages provided by other caterers at this same expo and even at other expos were nowhere as flavorful as Martino's. The obvious choice was Martino's! We had the privilege of having Martino's cater our wedding in April, and they did not disappoint! All of our guests were raving about the delicious food, and we have Martino's to thank for that! Martinos handled our wedding in March of 2019 in Carpinteria, CA. They were very helpful in adapting custom menu items that fit our theme of Spanish and Italian cuisine for our guests and accommodated a gluten free and vegetarian option that we requested. The tasting was delicious, and generous portions and they had plenty of options for appetizers that were all great. We opted for hosted buffet service so guests could choose their options, and there was plenty of food. Martino's came highly recommend from my day of events coordinator. Once my daughter and I met Martino and tasted the food we booked for the wedding. The tri-tip had delicious flavor and the chicken novelo was even better. Martino was wonderful and so positive to work with. Over the next few months the details were taken care of by Vanessa. Vanessa was fast to respond and always got my questions answered. That was wonderful for me because I work long hours. Wedding Day went very smooth thanks to Martino and his staff. Everyone was dressed professional , on time and ready to work. Appetizers were cheese and fruit. I was so surprised when I saw the beautiful display with attention to detail. Many different yummy cheeses, some had a drizzle of a light honey. I didn't think I liked blue cheese but boy was I wrong! Dinner went very smooth. We had about 105 people and his staff helped serve the tri-tip even thou it was buffet style. All food was hot and delicious. Staff was quick to pick up empty plates. Cake was served to those who wanted and we're sitting. Once the party started everyone was on the dance floor! We had lasers for a night of dancing! Martino's staff was so nice, and professional. The bar attendant was also a delight. Reception ended at midnight. Martino and his staff worked diligently for all the cleanup. Before the reception we had some high winds that were going to knock over our high centerpieces. Reception was on a tennis court. Luckily for us during the wedding ceremony the winds died down and his staff put up the centerpieces with large flowers on top. By the time the reception started everything was perfect. I highly recommend Martino's for any party. They really helped me pull off my first daughters wedding. They all worked so hard and kept a positive attitude. Martino's Catering served, managed and coordinated the catering of our wedding of 375 guests last March at a very large open venue in Camarillo. Vanessa and Martino are such an accommodating and professional team and their staff is amazing. They were so responsive and adaptable to all of our request (some times last minute) and would work within our budget. It was also very comforting that they basically guided us and helped us coordinate a lot of the logistics that my Wife and I really had no time for. One of the biggest compliments we got from our guests was the generous amounts and quality of food, the service of the staff taking care of our buffet and open bars, and the overall layout of everything that Martinos Catering was instrumental in putting together for us. Oh yeah, the big cool factor we requested at the end of the night was "Dirty Bacon wrapped hot Dogs" they grilled up for all the guests that needed to soak up the alcohol from our open bars. Martin has so many varieties of chicken and pasta that we weren't sure but he helped us find the one. We had a private tasting session of three varieties that we fell in love with the pasta primavera and chicken martino! ***Food: Nothing but great things to say about it! Chicken was cooked to perfection just like in the taste tasting. Pasta was soooo flavorful! The bread oh.my.goodness its so soft melt in your mouth that he MAKES it all including his dressings for the salad (no processed dressings here) makes the difference! His ranch is soooo good my husband loves balsamic vinagrette so he made us that as well. Provides all the condiments the butter for my favorite ..the bread! At the end of the night he even goes above and places all the left overs in easy and convenient trays for you to take! ***Service: Martin's service is top notch! We opted for the buffet style. Martino and Vanessa are amazing. Vanessa was so helpful always getting back at me within the day. I did all my rentals through them minus the tablecloths (I used my sisters) and did the food. She even answered any random wedding questions I would have and helped me with rental company suggestions for last minute tents and heaters. I have never heard so many compliments on the food and services. They made sure the reception was smooth, even provided the bartender to serve my alcohol. Martino's catered my daughters wedding at the Santa Barbara Historical Museum. We researched many caterers both within and outside of Santa Barbara. We found that the quality and cost were all over the map (and they don't necessarily go hand-in-hand). Martino's really came through for us, no nickel and dime'ing like the other caterers were (one was going to charge us for an extension cord!). The food was excellent, and the service is second to none. They provided the food and the rentals... and all that for less than the other caterers (especially when you consider the others only included the food). They were very easy to work with (a family business), even though they are located in the next county over (Ventura vs Santa Barbara). They worked with us on the bear/wine that we provided (they iced down and served), they provided some of the decorations, the dance floor... you name it. They also worked out the details with the venue. Planning a wedding can be daunting... Martino's helped us through the food and rentals (tables, chairs, place settings, linens, dance floor, heaters...). Bottom line is, we really could have paid more (a lot more if we were not careful), but we could not have received higher quality food, better service or the many extras that Martino's provides (and all those things you forget). Martin and Vanessa helped our wedding reception be a resounding success! We got married in Santa Barbara and hosted the reception at Cabrillo Arts Center. With Martino's, we got delicious food, professional and courteous service, and peace of mind that everything was seamlessly organized behind the scenes. We didn't have a wedding coordinator, so there was a bit of extra stress on the wedding day, but having Marino's there quickly assuaged those anxieties. Food was amazing - ceviche, bacon-wrapped-asparagus, 3 types of meat for fajitas. Also had veggie/vegan friendly items on the menu. Also were happy to let us bring our own iced tea/lemonade/booze/etc. They also provided a bartender, who did his job at the beer/wine open bar splendidly. Additionally, the time working up the wedding they were communicative, flexible, and generous. Took care in finding affordable rentals for tablecloths, plates, glasses, silverware, etc. They even threw in a free tasting AND a free rehearsal dinner with our booking (because we booked them so early). Be sure to hit them up for their wedding expo deals. Finally, and very importantly for us (since we are both teachers, working on a budget), they provide top notch service at prices that were 80% of their larger competitors.
