They catered our wedding in August of 2018 and I can say without a doubt choosing them to cater our wedding was one of the best decisions we made. Our initial catering company bailed on us, and in a scramble we found our way to Lorraine Lim (thankfully). Glenn and the team had excellent correspondence and were very upfront about what could be accomplished with our budget. We had a big ask: an entirely gluten free menu. They delivered without hesitation. They were also very accommodating for children (with kids meals), vegetarians, vegans, and any dietary restriction you can think of! We chose Lorraine Lim for our June 2020 wedding in summer of 2019 after a delicious tasting and just a great connection with Glenn and Lorraine. When the world shut down and we had to reschedule not once, but twice, the team was able to work with us. When our rescheduling led to a change in menu, Glenn answered all our questions and made everything match our vision while still being in budget. Lorraine and Glen were amazing. Not only are they fun and easy to work with, that's nice - but the compliments on the food at our Santa Barbara wedding speak for themselves. Lorraine Lim catered our 1.26.19 wedding and it was an incredible experience. The service, food, and planning process were perfect. Glenn and Janelle were our main contacts leading up to the wedding and they were easy to get a hold of and extremely helpful. We are foodies and the menu choices were extensive. Planning a wedding is hard enough and planning a wedding away from where you live is even more difficult. Thank goodness for Glenn and his catering professionals. My guests are still raving about the food from our wedding especially the desserts! We live in San Francisco and Glenn was super helpful. He would call us and text us whenever we needed. He was very knowledgable about space arrangements and worked around our somewhat hard space. And Janelle helped us with our rentals by basically making the order for us and all we had to do was choose colors. AMAZING!! Glenn and Lorraine were wonderful to work with from the start. We had a bit of a hiccup with our wedding catering plans elsewhere and ended up hiring them only a few months before the event. We had a menu in mind, which they executed perfectly at our tasting just a few weeks after making contact with them. We were confident that they would hit the mark. The service at the wedding was perfect! Each of the servers and bartenders were so kind to all of our guests, and always made sure that the wedding party had everything that we needed/wanted (water, wine, snacks, etc). And the food - THE FOOD - was exquisite! Our guests still rave about how amazing their dinners were. I wish I could relive it! The only snafu worth mention is that we didn't receive any replies to our emails the week of the wedding requesting our bill, and didn't have it until 10:30pm the night of the wedding. Since we were not prepared to write checks after the party, they were very understanding and allowed us to make the payment when we returned from our honeymoon a few weeks later. Glenn was a dream to work with as a caterer, and his wife Lorraine sure knows how to make some Southern cooking! My hubby and I are from the South and wanted to do a down-home Southern soul food supper for our wedding reception. This was a tall order for a California caterer, because we are picky about our food! They were so flexible, they let us give them notes after the first taste test and come back for a second one with all of the adjustments we had made. They found pepper vinegar sauce for the collard greens (which, by the way, EVERYONE raved about!), the fried chicken and waffles was a HUGE hit (with siracha honey? Come on!), the pulled pork and slaw was probably some of the most delicious I have ever eaten in my life, and the macaroni and cheese with a crunchy breaded top? Amazing. They served sweet tea and lemonade at the beginning of the reception, and his team did a fantastic job of keeping the buffet replenished and then serving the warmed pies for dessert. It was amazing and we had several people (Southerners included!) come up to tell us how delicious the food was as they made their way for seconds. We were married in May of 2017 and hired Glenn and the Lorraine Lim Catering team after enjoying their food at another wedding the previous year. I will be the first to say that the logistics of our wedding were not easy. The venue was on private property, hard to access and about 20 minutes outside of any resemblance of a town. Lorraine Lim and the catering crew did a FANTASTIC job. They are clearly a talented group of people who know exactly what's needed and when. The tables and settings were exactly as we asked and every need or request was fulfilled. She helped create something that was within my budget and the food tasted top notch. I also happened to go to a party in Ojai recently and they were catering that too. I have used Lorraine Lim catering several times now over the last 2 years. Glenn, who runs the catering has gone out of his way to make things easier and has worked really hard to keep each event affordable, yet special. I have to say, when cutting corners for a large non profit I work for, he helped us create a plan that tasted delicious, looked beautiful and didn't come across cheap. I consider myself to be very experienced with food and I have hired them to create a few very high end, smaller events as well and when given the opportunity, Lorraine really shines in the kitchen. Very high quality organic ingredients, inventive and and well plated. I have also priced them out with other caters in the area and find them to be reasonable in their pricing. THE BEST! We hired Lorraine Lim to cater our rehearsal dinner and wedding reception in July of 2013, and I can say it was one of the best decisions we've ever made. They were exceptional. The food was AMAZING!! Our guests kept commenting on how good it was and that it was not typical "wedding food" but something they'd expect when eating at a fine dining establishment. Their team of servers were excellent as well! They made sure that our guests wanted for nothing. There was a server there exactly when you needed something, and yet they were never in the way of anything or hovering.
