For this project, I used the Yelp app. While I am quite happy with the results I got from Martinez Landscape, I didn't care for the Yelp app sending out my job specs to people I hadn't chosen. (This was a clear out of plants, pots, some soil and other items). I felt the value with Martinez was satisfactory, and his attention to detail outstanding. For example, by the time he left, all was as I had directed, the common areas he had to traverse with the clippings and items he was removing for us were so clean, you couldn't tell that he had been there. I hired Martinez Landscape to remove heavy overgrown weeds and vegetation left by a previous tenant. I specifically asked for removal and treatment to prevent the weeds from growing back. They did remove the weeds, but just 3 days later the weeds started growing back. It's clear no proper treatment was applied as promised. On top of that, they charged me $700 for this poor service and were dishonest about what was actually done. Very disappointing and unprofessional experience -- I would not recommend them to anyone looking for reliable landscaping work. read more

3/28/25 and 3/29/25, I scheduled a day to meet for estimate and Jose arrived per agreement. He began my project on time to clear out 3 YEARS of weeds growing wild in my backyard. (see RING camera snapshot) Jose cleared out my weeds, rototiller all the dirt, cleared out all rocks and debris, grated the dirt, and installed weed barrier ground cover. I need to buy more ground cover nails to smooth it out tomorrow. This was a huge project. I was only charged a reasonable fee. Yes, I am advocating for Martinez Landscape because Jose is the best. I had this 8 yr old tree in my front yard that was planted too close to another tree by the builder that I wanted removed. I used Yelp to find a tree removal service and was provided 3 who bid the project, Martinez Landscape contacted me quickly and an appt was made, he bid a reasonable and fair quote so we scheduled the removal. Later in the day the owner Jose arrived and removed the tree and roots. He did so with care not to cause any damage to the surrounding area. He cleaned up after so that all remained was the hole and bare area which I plan on reseeding very soon. We're very happy with the results and would definitely use their other lawn and yard services in the future and gladly recommend to others.
