Everything him and his crew moved for me made it in perfect condition with no dings to the walls or doors. I also really liked that when we made it to my new place, we went through the condo and gave each room a name. So as the crew brought boxes and furniture in, I simply had to tell them which room to put it in. They even helped me assemble the furniture and centered everything. Which, I'm a stickler for, so the centering was much appreciated. High quality service, well thought out process, and reasonably priced.

On June, 23rd 2025, Sandhills Moving & Storage delivered our household goods after they had…read more been stored for two years in the company's climate-controlled facility while our house was undergoing renovations. Prior to storage, we elected full coverage insurance and were assured that the company had extensive experience handling and storing antique and high-value furniture for our sizable amount of belongings in a 6k square foot home. Upon delivery, we discovered that the majority of our items were severely broken or damaged, and nearly all were affected by what appeared to be mold or mildew. Moisture readings on our antique furniture measured approximately 60%, and in some cases, moving blankets had adhered to the surfaces. All of this damage was witnessed and assessed by not only their moving team but a manager they sent out to our home the following day who was in complete shock at the staggering amount of damage. After Sandhills filed our insurance claim, for our elected full insurance, we learned from the insurance carrier that the required paperwork was not fulfilled by Sandhills despite being required under their own policy. This administrative oversight voided our full coverage protection and reduced our compensation to $2.50 per pound, which is far below the replacement value of the affected items. When we initially raised this issue, a manager, Pat, assured us it would be corrected, but subsequent calls were not returned, and our attempts to follow up have been unsuccessful. Pat refuses to speak to us and the secretary hung up on us. All of these conversations have been recorded and we have proof of all statements made by the insurance, Sandhills, their movers, managers, and any/all parties involved because NC is a one party consent to record. My husband and I are both 100% disabled Army veterans with four children, one of whom has a severe disability and Sandhills was abundantly aware of this. Following the delivery, our family has experienced health issues consistent with mold exposure. A licensed mold specialist advised us to seal off all affected items to prevent contamination of our newly renovated home, leaving a significant amount of our belongings to include all major furniture such as living room furniture, bedroom sets, mattresses, and dining room furniture unusable. This situation has caused substantial financial, logistical, emotional, and health challenges for our family. While we understand that mistakes can occur, we are shocked that there has been no meaningful resolution or constructive communication to address the matter and ZERO accountability. I tried to contact the owner Jason Birdsall via phone, email, and his Facebook with no response. We hope that by sharing our experience, others will have the information needed to make an informed decision to look elsewhere during a move or storage need. We are now being forced to pay for a lawyer to seek legal representation in this matter. No family should ever have to suffer like this.

On Friday 3/15/2024, Formica Movers provided a delivery service for a valued and esteemed client of…read moreours in Concord, NC. During the delivery, Formica Movers damaged the wooden flooring of the client, resulting in $1800 worth of damage. Despite numerous attempts to have Formica resolve this damage they caused, after 2 months of empty promises and a lackadaisical attitude on behalf of the owner of Formica Moving, the flooring has not been repaired. Formica Movers acknowledged and accepted responsibility for the damage but was unwilling to make the time to address the damage directly with the client. Additionally, they told the client their insurance would not cover the damage due to some type of waiver of liability or contract they normally provide for the clients to sign before the move. In this case, the contract was not presented to us or the client and no one ever agreed to waive any liability for any type of damage. Formica initially offered to repair the flooring and offered up to $50 maximum to resolve the claim, however they refused to put forth the effort to schedule the repair with the client and of course the $50 was a ridiculous and insufficient amount to offer considering the extent and amount of damage. We are forced to resolve the issue with the client directly. The bottom line is the mover performed a service and was compensated in full for the service. The best suggestion I can give is but one size boxes do you can stack well. We put our boxes on first up front and bought a couple sheets of OSB Plywood to strap them in. Then we loaded all the other stuff that was harder to stack, strapping where I could and nailed short 2x4 pieces to the floor to minimize sliding. Our 23 foot load arrived 550 miles later in excellent condition. Bought our straps at harbor freight along with moving blankets. Can be tricky to attack straps to side walls but possibly.

You have to pack the weight evenly as they suggested and all went well. We moved from Florida to South Carolina and they were very accommodating with every aspect of our needs. Bobby went above and beyond with all my time frames and had a driver even there for the unload on a Sunday. The price was fair and I would recommend this company for any move.

The finale, I have a large marble dining room table that I checked to see how it did from the move...it was fine before they took it off of the uhaul truck. Both guys admitted it was heavy...! While I was moving other things off of the truck (since it was getting late), one of the guys came to me and said that my table was already broke and that he took a picture of it. But what he didn't know is that I had already checked every part of that table before they moved it into my storage, so HE LIED!!!! I DON'T RECOMMEND THEM AT ALL!!!!!
