Amazing! The best Clam Strips I've ever had. Great view of fishing boats too. Highly recommend this spot.

Left: canned compressed crab meat from the crab cakes Right: filler

Flounder was freshly caught and delicious, scallops we wonderful; easily sautéed and delicious but several still had their tails...(which I learned from my local family, is supposed to happen since it keeps them fresh longer) Main reason for 3 stars... Crab cakes were absolutely the worst I've ever had. 10.99 for frozen. I took a picture to show 1. The filler and 2. The compressed crab typical of canned crab meat. Regular fresh caught crabmeat is fluffy and moist- this was not. We spent a lot of money here for our feast of the 7 fishes on Christmas Eve and our only complaint was the crab cakes which could be so much better... Especially since we expected more from the other reviews. Pros: customer service and availability Cons: crab cakes didn't live up to the other reviews hype. We will be back to order again and I WOULD recommend to a friend.

It is well known to local people, that this is the place to go if you want to purchase the freshest seafood from a local shop, and it's right on the harbor. This is my go to spot. Fish, crabs, shrimp, live lobsters, just about anything you want. Very reasonably priced.

Fish tacos with fries, happy hour onion rings, and clam strips.

This place is an amazing spot! It's a little hole in the wall that is a must try. We came in to pick up some mussels for dinner and stayed for lunch. We ordered the fish tacos with the BEST fries, the clamp strip appetizer with an amazing breading, and the happy hour onion rings. We were on the outdoor deck and had a beautiful view of the lagoon. Our waitress Luiza excellent- super polite and helpful. The mussels we had bought were super tender and absolutely delicious. Overall, this place is a wonderful lunch spot and seafood market.

I've been using Martin's for seafood for years. Fair market pricing and absolutely the freshest seafood market in OC/West OC!

Now, 50 years later, Phillips is gone and many establishments advertise their Crabs as the best in OC. Having not been here since 2012, I need to scour the reviews to find where we could get the best take out seafood especially Maryland Crabs. Lo and behold, just steps away from our Courtyard Marriott is the Crab Stop. It's before season so many places are still closed but the Owner answered when I called, had a great sense of humor, and happily took my order for a designated pick up time. We arrived 10 minutes early and they had just completed the order, packed it up, and we were out the door in minutes. This is a Father/Son establishment. Dave (?) the Father is 85 and his son Tom (?) run this fine eatery. It's built for take out and there is no disappointment. We ordered 6 large crabs, 1# of Lump Crab and 2 ears of corn. Within minutes our table was covered with crab, crab shells, Old Bay, and we savored every minute of the delicious fresh sweet crab meat. Look no further than Crab Stop to enjoy the best crabs that OC has to offer and the friendliness and service of these two gentlemen.

"Baby Ruths and Blue Crabs: a Maryland treasure"…read more Tucked just off the beaten path in southern Maryland sits a true hidden gem of a crab shack -- the kind of place where GPS starts to doubt itself but your nose knows you're close when you catch that glorious whiff of Old Bay and salt air. I ordered several dozen male blue crabs, and the gentleman running the shop steamed them fresh while I waited. He couldn't have been kinder or more helpful -- walking my Yankee self through the local crab routine like a patient professor of Maryland seafood. I even picked up paper and mallets for future crab feasts, because once you start cracking shells, there's no going back. The crabs came out piping hot, juicy, and unbelievably sweet -- some of the best I've ever had, maybe the best. They were just as delicious cold later on, and I had plenty to share (though sharing was optional). The fresh air off the water, the sunshine, and the friendly folks waiting on their own orders made the whole experience feel like a snapshot of authentic coastal life. Before I left, I remembered I had a stash of Baby Ruth candy bars in my trunk -- so naturally, I handed a few out to the kind man steaming the crabs and some fellow customers waiting for their orders. Nothing says "Southern hospitality meets Northern charm" quite like fresh crabs and surprise candy. This isn't a sit-down spot -- it's a genuine crab-to-go shack, and that's exactly its charm. Bring your own cooler if you plan to take a bunch home, because you'll absolutely want to. No frills, no fuss -- just pure Maryland magic by the dozen.

Rob and Rose greeted and welcomed us. We ordered the Medium steamed Crabs, Crab Cake Sandwich, Crab Bisque, corn on the cob and Hush Puppies. Wow! What a treat so early in the season. The Bisque was excellent. It's not too spicy but they give you extra seasoning and spice to add according to your personal taste. The Crab Cake was just as advertised. No filler, fresh Crab, Eastern Shore style and delicious. The medium crabs were very good. Some establishments would be seeking them as Large. They were seasoned and steamed perfectly. Heavy and sweet. The sides; Corn on the Cob, steamed in the Husk was very good and the Hush Puppies were a perfect pairing. My apologies for lack of pictures, we ate most everything before I started taking pictures. Rob and Rose were very attentive. They told us their story and shared a scrap book of their off season home in New Mexico. They were in the process of training and orienting their summer staff while we enjoyed our meal. The attention to detail, customer first, quality service and passion for excellent food was on full display. The dining is beach rustic and perfect. There's a good amount of parking and it's easy to find them right along coastal highway. What initially seemed like a disappointment today turned into a wonderful discovery of a new favorite. On The Bay Seafood is a must try if you're at the shore this year.

We ordered the seafood combo that included six hard-shell crabs, three pounds of snow crab legs, a half-pound of shrimp, corn, and hush puppies. The hard-shell crabs were decent, although they seemed slightly oversteamed. The meat in the legs was practically fused to the shell, making them difficult to eat. The snow crab legs were good, but the shrimp were noticeably undercooked, which made peeling them nearly impossible. There were a few bright spots. The beer was reasonably priced at $4.50 a pint, and the hush puppies were excellent--arguably the best part of the entire meal. The corn, however, was tough and seemed past its prime. For the roughly $145 we spent on the combo, I expected a better overall dining experience. Sadly, this seems to be the standard at many seafood restaurants these days: higher prices without a corresponding increase in quality. And while it's a minor issue compared to the food, the deck seating chairs were surprisingly uncomfortable and felt out of place for a restaurant charging these prices. Overall, the meal wasn't terrible, but it fell well short of expectations given the cost.
