She goes above and beyond to care for her patients, always considering the entire portrait of health and not just prescribing this or that just get you on your way. She's personable, kind, sincere, considerate and well I absolutely love her! Her office staff and policies are a bit of a turn off, fees to fill out just about any piece of paper, no faxing or emailing important docs you might need, inconvenient hours for working parents, and they are not yet setup to use credit cards. Other than those issues, I have no grievances and will continue using her practice for my son as well as our future children.

As I was looking for a doctor who is trained in Integrative medicine for my family, I had some basic questions as to whether the doctor was taking patients only with serious illnesses or otherwise healthy and also insurance. She basically did not know any answers and instead chose to read something repeatedly that really did not answer these simple basic questions. She then got annoyed when I pointed this out to her and asked if someone could get back to me with answers by saying that she had already answered my questions. She then had a poor attitude with me and showed clearly her annoyance with me. It was quite frustrating at this point so I decided to end this comical call. So I wasted my valuable time and got the worst impression of a doctor's office ever with this person. But perhaps they have so much business that they can have her behave this way? I mean really - at $350 consultation fee plus $175 thereafter that she said most insurance won't cover, I guess they are doing extremely well! They say you can judge a book by its cover and often, office staff can make or break your practice as good doctors know.

All of whom have given practical and reasonable medical advice. The front office staff has always been pleasant and kind with me. I am a big believer in the idea that you receive what you give--kindness included (not always, but most of the time). People are just people, sometimes we have good days, and other times-- not so much. I am not saying it's ok to be rude, but it's not been my experience that any of the staff here have treated me poorly. I also think it's been a positive addition to the practice to bring on a full-time phlebotomist, which has made blood draws faster and much easier. First of all, what's up with the Security Guard at the entrance? I have so many questions. Is the area unsafe? Does he break up fights? I don't get it. Secondly, why don't they use the VA Police? Because the quality ........ anyway let's talk about the clinic. I walk in and the check-in windows are RIGHT there. I didn't know the procedure so I just stood right there. But, you've got to move to the left and wait in line (they actually have it marked). The woman I dealt with was extremely helpful. I appreciated that. Once checked in I waited. I waited a long time, but I knew my optometrist was running behind because I saw here usher somebody back. In the end she was short-staffed as her assistant called out. I like Mrs. Ciocco. She's very thorough, personable, and explains everything in terms I can understand. The clinic is in a business park so there's plenty of parking and it's on the first floor level. This facility doesn't have a tv, but has plenty of seating. Apparently they offer a shuttle (I don't know where it goes, but I assume to the VA Hospital or other VA facility) because one of the young guys was waiting for it. My visit went well, but I think I'll schedule all future appointments at Fort Meade if I can.
