Another tenant had referred her to me and I happened to know exactly who she was, I just never knew her name. We have had many friendly exchanges in the building over the years. My husband and I visited Rachel to get our wills and power of attorneys done. We both found our experience with her to be friendly, helpful and educational. She prepared our documents quickly and well. She was happy to answer all of our many questions. Although we came to her for estate planning she also practices family law. The person that referred me to Rachel used her for a family law matter. She was very satisfied with Rachel's help. I would happily recommend Rachel, both for her office's great customer service and convenient location. There is a small private parking lot located below the building, plus plenty of surrounding parking lots. Best of all, it's located right above the 19th street BART station. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the receptionist even brought us some great coffee when we arrived for our appointments. I will definitely use Rachel's services again if I have the need.

Bad customer service and poor attention to detail…read more That's how I summarize my experience with Rachel Ginsburg and her law offices. My partner and I approached Ginsburg based on a recommendation from a friend, because we wanted an attorney to draft for each of us a Last Will & Testament, and Powers of Attorney for health care and financial matters. Our initial meeting went well, and Ginsburg did take plenty of time with us to explain the documents and how they're used. The draft documents we received had many errors in them. My name was misspelled in many places, and my name was mixed up with my partner's name in another place. I even found an error when it came time to sign our final documents! It seems to me that it's not too much to ask that legal documents be proofread by a professional, especially when you're paying $1500 for such documents. The bad customer service experiences started when Ginsburg seemingly couldn't be bothered to return phone calls in a timely manner (nor could she have a staff member follow up with me, apparently). It took her five business days before she returned my call to schedule an appointment to sign our documents. I'd left her a message on Monday, and I still hadn't heard from her by Friday morning, so I called and left a voicemail message then. After no response to that message by 2:30 p.m., I called again and left yet another message. When she finally did reach me, she acted as if I hadn't left my office number, which I had. But she hadn't left me a message at home either! On the day of our document signing, she left me a voicemail message at work at 2:52 p.m. stating that her notary needed to leave at 4:30 p.m., even though our appointment was to begin at 4:30 and a notary was required for the document signing. Because my day was packed with meetings, I didn't get her message until 4:00 p.m.! So I had to rush to her office--after calling my partner, who was driving all the way from his job in Pleasanton for the appointment--in order to get there early, before the notary left. Ginsburg's attitude when I arrived wasn't apologetic in the least! She seemed completely unconcerned that her lack of consideration and planning had adversely affected my day. When I expressed to her how dissatisfied I was with these issues, she still seemed largely unconcerned. When I persisted, she gave me one of those non-apologies by saying, "I'm sorry you feel that way"! Something like that. Because I expressed such dissatisfaction, she did ask her notary to stay, and my partner made it in time to have his documents notarized too. But what that showed me was that the notary actually DID have flexibility in her schedule, despite the picture that had been depicted to the contrary. When the appointment was over, Ginsburg attempted to justify her poor customer service by saying that she runs a very busy law practice. You know, I can understand being busy; I'm very busy too. But it's the lack of respect and consideration on her part that was unacceptable.

It was going to be my first time touching base with an attorney about a potential case in the near future. She was very short on the phone, and basically made it seem like her time was too precious and expensive to even speak on the phone with me and give me the smallest crumbs of advice. No free consultations, I was to pay her $150 CASH (only)- when we met the following day. She explained to me she'd be showing up to this location strictly for me, so make sure that I'm there. I told her I'd take off from work and have my child watched, and I'd be there, cash in hand. She never showed up at all, and she never called. The gentleman who works across the hall from her office says she's never really there, and this is certainly not the first time he's seen her miss appointments! I called CPS. Vera told me I might as well have called the IRS on myself. * Held her hand up to me and told me to STOP TALKING * Told me I need to be a 'truth-teller' * Asked me about my son, asked who his favorite parent is (which was odd), and then proceeded to interrupt me again to say I had not told her anything about my son - so maybe she needs lessons on 'truth-telling' herself * I had such high hopes and ended up leaving 19 minutes into our 60 minute appointment after I told her I have had enough with the disrespectful comments and gestures * She said this had never happened before in her career, that I can take back $100 of the $150 because she cares about people - not money, she sure made me feel the opposite * I left with no legal advice, plan, and with more desperation

He talked a big game about how he could help and make me owe less on alimony. He was so inept that his worst case scenario he painted would have been $400-500 better than what he got. He made sure to add in any unnecessary work to blow through more money because I had an ARAG discount. Worst part was he didn't factor in my pay date on my pay stubs so instead of listing the actual number of payments he had a date in there there that cost me an extra $1500. Linda is the best investment of your time…read more I'm a creative based in Los Angeles and was recently going through financial hardship. Linda took the time to have a phone consultation with me where she evaluated my situation with a "holistic"lens. Now...for those of you who're skeptics of pH levels, regulated diets and spiritual phrases DO NOT let the word "holistic" set the wrong impression. Our phone conversation was scheduled for thirty minutes and it lasted two hours. It's because she wanted the full picture of me. Linda made me feel seen as a person. She engaged in every part of my circumstance by asking for honesty re: financial mistakes, my spending habits, and my long term/short term ambitions. She evaluated my current situation by "working backwards" challenging me to put limitations on myself (ex: how many years till you want to be debt free) and customized a plan, one where I can effectively and realistically pull myself out of my hole. Her 30+ years experience in law has graced her with a myriad of folks (and all of their financial predicaments). Her kind disposition and practical time management made me feel understood but not nurtured or lead to believe "all was going to be okay" with my current habits. She was a breath of fresh air and yet a swift quick in my ass. I've begun the conservative savings steps she's recommended and I'm already seeing the benefits both personally and practically. I'm eager to write another review 2-5 years from now lauding Linda for setting me straight and onto my path of abundance.
