For those who haven't been here before, you must show id, open up any bags/purses and get a wristband placed on you before entering the space. With it being a beautiful day, it made sense that it was pretty full/packed in there - we were still able to find some good seats at the bar. We both went with frozen drinks to cool us off. They weren't as strong as we were hoping/expecting so we ordered a round of shots also. We were pretty hungry, so happy that it didn't take long for the food to come after ordering. Both felt our seafood was fresh and were surprised at the large size of the shrimp. Food was good standard bar food. The live music group came on before we got our food and I really enjoyed their set. Good go-to spot to check out when at Point Pleasant Beach.

ONE THING; The loudness of place is RIDICULOUS, the TV volume is so LOUD that my I-watch sent me a warning message. The bartender said it's loud because the game is on. So for the price, the service , the ambiance, with a reservation and waiting 35 minutes, My opnion it is more of a tourist trap, a step up from Boardwalk food, but you can find better, cheaper and nicer elsewhere Its your money spend it wisely, For me I will not be returning.

We definitely got the impression they weren't happy having our larger group at the bar, even though it was still early and several of us were ordering drinks. Thankfully, once we were seated, the experience was completely different. Our waiter was fantastic--friendly, attentive, and great with our large group--and the food was very good. We'd definitely return for the food and table service, but the experience at the bar was disappointing.

As usual, the restaurant was very busy--we waited about two hours for a table, and getting drinks at the bar took some patience. Once seated, however, our waitress was excellent: friendly, attentive, and one of the reasons we enjoy coming here. The only negative part of the evening occurred after dinner. My friend and I walked down to the dock to smoke cigars. We passed a security staff member while holding our cigars, and he allowed us through without hesitation and which we normally do when we go to the Wharfside. About 15 minutes later, another security staff member approached and told us smoking wasn't allowed there. I had no issue leaving, but I was disappointed by how she handled the situation. The conversation quickly became confrontational as we were walking off the dock, and I felt I was spoken to disrespectfully [she called me a dick for no reason. To make matters worse, the first security staff member denied allowing us onto the dock, even though he clearly knew why we were going there to smoke [guessing he lied because she was the manager and didn't want get reprimanded by her as she seemed to be very angry [& nasty]. We've always enjoyed dining here, and have to admit this experience will probably stop us from returning. I hope management reads this and provides clearer communication on the smoking policy and ensures all security staff handle these situations professionally and consistently!

The vegetable component was more of a slaw than the stir-fried vegetables we expected, the dishes could have used much more sauce, and the panko-crusted mahi bowl felt heavier and more fried than anticipated. We also ordered a bucket of High Noons, but there was confusion about the happy hour deal. Neither the menu nor our server could explain the bucket pricing, and when the bill arrived, it appeared we paid the same as ordering the drinks individually. We highly recommend the swordfish bites, they were literally fantastic. You can sit inside or outside, we opted for outside because they had shady little nooks where you could sit that had fans and it was so cool and comfortable. I could've sat there for hours. This is a BYOB. We had also visited the other point lobster house that is in the walkable town a few blocks away and that is a bar so it's not a BYOB. Just something to keep in mind the spot that's by the water you need to bring your own wine.
