Where do I begin with this awful excuse of a flower shop?I paid $160 for flowers that were ordered for Valentine's Day. In case anyone is unaware like Marta's Flowers is, that is February 14. The flowers they delivered were delivered to my girlfriend on February 13.
That sounds pretty awful for a shop that has one job, right? It gets worse. Let me start this next point by saying DO NOT GIVE YOUR RECIPIENT'S PHONE NUMBER to Marta because she will call them in advance and ask them if it is okay if she delivers the flowers a day early. These flowers are obviously supposed to be a surprise! She called my girlfriend and asked if they could drop off roses for her and of course she says okay not knowing the situation. Marta did not call me, the person who paid and wants to give instruction but she calls the recipient.
Her excuse? She was so busy with orders she wanted to call recipients and ask if it was okay to deliver flowers early. Not only did this happen to me but it seems like it happened to other people too based off what she said.
I called her asking what could possibly be her reasoning? If she could not handle orders don't take them! I ordered these flowers on January 23 so she had plenty of time to figure out what to do. I demanded a refund and instead of saying she messed up and handled the situation irresponsibly, she said she would refund me except for the amount to pay her delivery person. How is that my problem? Why do I have to pay your delivery person for a job you could not coordinate?
I refused to pay for a delivery I did not ask for because I wanted them delivered as a surprise on February 14. I'm filing a complaint with American Express and knowing how excellent their service is, I know they will not pay her that delivery fee that I refuse to pay for. I paid for a service and I will not be charged if I do not get exactly that. I asked that she go back to my girlfriend's work and take her flowers back since she did not do as her shop was paid to do.
Save your money and a very special surprise for someone and go anywhere else. She handles customer service the way she handles Valentine's Day deliveries- poorly. read more
