I had been working with the Window Guy for over 10 years. Over that time the service and the…read morequality have begun to decline dramatically. Additionally the prices have gone up by almost double. I had always told Jerry that if he could please wipe my screens and sills I'd be happy to pay whatever the additional charge was. He went from doing it to not wanting to do it to not doing it at all. This winter I had him string some lights and was quoted around 75 dollars to hang one string of lights, when he was finished however he charged me 155 dollars without letting me know the quote had doubled even though he finished in an hour which was his estimate for how long it would take to begin with. Seeing the invoice I was disappointed but I didn't complain because again we had been working together for so long and I just considered the overage a christmas tip. The last job I had him do though was the final straw. I asked him if he could move our wash date ahead by two days because I had multiple reservations for the date we picked a month ago. He said, in no uncertain terms, he could move the date up. Then when we got to the day in question he said that he didn't know how to hang the lights and called me but missed me as I was out of pocket, so the lights didn't get done. Then when I did call him he said he could only wash half of the windows in question because of a time constraint regarding matters that were personal to him. I simply said, "Why didn't you just move me to another day when you could get this all done, or split the job up into two days? He was now telling me he couldn't finish the other two house for another month! Clearly that doesn't work when you have guests checking in who except windows they can see out of after a 7 month long winter with heavy spring rains. Very, very disappointing on top of multiple past disappointments, sky high invoices and a dramatic decline in quality not to mention the personal issues of his life creeping in and a relative sense of complaining quite a bit about the tiniest and most inconsequential things. It's sad to have to part ways with someone I've worked with for so long. But enough was enough.

We had driveway gravel delivered last year, picked up 2 loads of the custom dirt this week, and next is drain rock (but one project at a time!). Pick up is basically a quick drive through. I used the dirt calculator on the website before I showed up and they told me how much my truck could hold and helped with my tarp. And my dog got a treat on the way out! Customer service is important to me when choosing local businesses. We're so lucky to have come across these folks after buying our first house. They make every project possible. When I've had to have a repair, it does take awhile (1-2 weeks) for them to get out to me because I wait until they can double up with another customer or two. I could do a dedicated call, but since I am 3 hours, one-way, up in the mountains away from Wenatchee, travel costs for a repair visit are really expensive. The repairs are expensive. I've never gotten a bill and thought, 'oh hey, that was cheaper than I feared.' The bills are always a bit of a sticker shock. Like $250 to replace a mixer knob or $300 for a new oxone-ator. The biggest was $4000, but that was when the tub froze :-0. They had to drain the tub, take it to Wenatchee, and do a tear-down of it in their shop. But overall my Hotsprings hottub has been quite reliable. I've had it 15+ years and only had 3 repair calls, not counting the time it froze--which was due to some guests not filling it up after kids where playing in it and the tub shut down when air got sucked into the tubes. However, CWW has always tried hard (over the phone) to help me troubleshoot and fix the tub myself so I don't need to have a repair person come out.

Week and a half later....crickets. I call again and I'm told to call back Monday and talk to Lee the service manager. This is ridiculous. It's not a time consuming or complicated process to remove a water softener. And why can't they figure out when they can do this? Scheduling is not that hard. And neither is communication. I complain to hubs who tells me that this company is notoriously difficult to work with and drags their feet terribly on water deliveries so he and his colleagues are without water regularly. I have to question why anyone is using this company. Are there truly no other options in the valley? Well, we sold the house and your rented water softener is still sitting in there. This is not my problem and I sure as heck am not paying for it anymore.
