I would like to give the Leavenworth Store clerk Tyler McKinnley big kudos for top notch customer service! After being a 40+ year customer of Marson's in Leavenworth, I've grown to really love the store and the employees that work there. After the purchase of Marson's by TAL Building centers, I was at first a little frustrated with the change. Now, all the store clerks are fantastic and very helpful. What makes Tyler stand out for me is that he always goes above and beyond to serve my needs as a customer and contractor. For example, his knowledge of the POS system allowed him to make some much needed changes to my sub-accounts in my company charge account. He was very conscientious about asking the right questions and made the necessary changes without any further prodding. I super appreciate everything he does for your company. just a year ago this would have been 4-5 stars. who ever bought this company is destroying it. I have bought from Marion's since I was a child and the new head management in Leavenworth ruined it all. i will no longer be buying any wood from this retailer any longer due to the head manager in its Leavenworth location. this man harassed and followed me around the yard as I picked up my alder order. I was promised when I ordered this material it could be cut onsite. when order arrived not only was this wood left in the snow and rain for a week when I went to pick it up I was told by the head manager they wouldn't cut it? I explained that this was the only reason I went through them for this order instead of going to Seattle for the cheaper price. after much arguing and a great employee we went to cut it where this manager followed claiming it was unsafe? but yet he allowed me and the employee to make the cut. for such a liability it was, as he was claiming why would he the manager watch me with no trining help cut this 8'x4' sheet of alder plywood? After the cut was finished he started telling ME how unsafe it was. hilarious right? i then explained to him how a lumber yard selling wood not able to cut purchased wood for customers was a joke! he then replied I don't need to buy from them anymore as he followed me to my car and I repeatedly told him to leave me alone. the next day I get a call from said manager apologizing for my experience with him. my only problem with his apology is I would not have received this if he didn't look into the account and see how much we spend with them. well that is over there is many other cheaper options with suppliers that won't let your expensive wood warp and twist in the cold rain and snow and will cut your wood to any length or size. Still cheaper. I shopped at Marion's for loyalty and its customer service. no more! I would like to repeat what I told this horrible manager. he runs the business to make money! if you treat your customers this way you will have no business! if your saw isn't safe it is YOUR JOB to fix it for the customers! if you can't do YOUR job get outta the business! so I say bye bye to Marion and take all that business to other suppliers! Great company! Not very often these days to find a company that really cares about their clients like Marson and Marson Lumber cares. I worked with Chris on a window package. His bid came in same day, his prices were competitive and he was very thorough. He really knows his stuff! Great customer service and friendly people. Highly recommend this place for any size project. Huge lumber yard. They even do special cuts if needed. The prices are comparable to Home Depot and Lowes. We were traveling through Leavenworth in our RV and the kitchen faucet started spraying water everywhere. My husband took it apart and brought the broken o ring in. We received help in finding the replacement. No one tried talking us into replacing the whole faucet. We appreciate the exceptional customer service! read more

I've ordered tens of thousands of dollars worth of hardware supplies from this company and typically they do a pretty good job. Most of the employees are really nice people. Occasionally they have a not so great employee but those people have typically found their way to the door. This would be a five star review except for a recent event. I ordered screens and was told they would arrive in two weeks. I went into the store to pick them up on the 15th day and found that they hadn't arrived yet. I had to go back to the store about every week to buy other supplies and every week I was told it would be another week. Finally after 6 plus weeks of waiting they finally arrived. I grabbed up all the screens and brought them to my properties only to find that two of them didn't fit, they were cut too small. (I brought in my old screens so they could make perfect measurements). One of the employees who I spoke with had somewhat of a "sorry for your tough luck" sort of attitude. And said something to the effect of, "There are a lot of people who are angry about their screens right now." Which didn't make me feel a whole lot better. I will say that the store manager Sandee (sp?) and Nate were both really helpful in trying to sort out the mess. I think that after all I had been through that I should have gotten some kind of discount on the screens but there were no efforts thus far at conciliation. Had I received some form of discount or compensation I would re elevate this to a five star review as I understand that things happen. Otherwise they have a pretty good assortment of stuff in their store. Their staff are helpful. Their delivery service is typically on point and their wood offerings are better and of a higher quality than home depot but about 20% more expensive. Still a good deal when you don't have to drive your truck 50 minutes round trip to wenatchee in most cases. read more
