It's a hardware store and we stopped because we actually needed some things but it's worth just looking around. Taxidermy and odd artifacts from the surrounding area are all hanging from the ceiling. The back wall is full of pennants and photos from rodeo activities. You are asked if you need any help but never by being pushy, they just want to help. I'm from Maine and this place reminded me of "husseys" where you can get guns, wedding gowns and cold beer. True value also sells what you would wear working a rodeo. Such a cool place. So much more interesting than the trips to Home Depot that we've been doing as we work on our sprinter van.

So anyways, I've been to the store probably about eight times and I have been with other people a few of those times and none of us have ever been told. There was a membership that you had to have. I do remember stopping as I walked in and even asking lady like is it OK to go through and she said oh yeah nobody's ever asked me for a card nobody's ever seen anything about a membership. Tonight when I was with my grandson, the gate thing was locked and I looked at the lady who was working there and she said oh I need your membership card and I was like oh I didn't know that you needed a membership . It was no big deal to me, but I was just like surprised. Anyway, she came back with a really rude Answer telling me it's all my fault, and I need to pay attention and all this . So I ended up leaving the store and then there was a guy that was walking in the store that saw her. She talked to me. He ended up leaving the store too. He was like oh I didn't even know there was a membership I've been here a ton of times . So here's the thing I looked it up and I was shocked to find it was only a five dollar membership . If the lady would've just been like oh yeah, it's only five dollars to join in a nice tone instead of saying well it's your fault you didn't pay attention to the sign on the gate in a really rude, crappy tone, I would have just been like oh yeah, sure I'll pay the five dollars no big deal. But now, because of the way that we were treated, I will never be back to the store. I mean it's not like it's easy to get you anyways for those of us who don't drive. But I just think the person they put at the front should be nicer because I wasn't rude to her at all. I was not at all disrespectful. And I think that they need to be a big $5 as you walk into the store and maybe right as you enter in the sliding doors just to keep people's attention. I generally love shopping at Bimart but... 3 days after…read moreChristmas and they are pulling all their winter items or not going to order more. in Cle Elum we still have 3 or 4 months of winter. also today every isle I tried getting down to get items had an employee pulling items and putting out new which is great but..none of them would let you get past them to get an item. if I can't get to an item I'm not gonna spend that money there. at one point I backed up and went over an isle to come up the other isle, by the time I got there the employ had moved her cart to that end and again would not let me by.. the same happened with multiple employees in multiple isles. I had a decent sized shopping list but walked out with only some yarn and if I could have gotten those colors elsewhere in ellensburg I'd have put them back and spent NO money there!!!

As a farmer, I've tried to buy things from this store twice, both times unsuccessfully…read more The first time I was looking for pullets. A pullet is a the middle stage between chick and chicken. I called and had a hard time getting the saleswoman to say whether or not they carried certain kinds, despite the fact that their website said they did. Finally she directed me to the man in charge, and he told me they had the pullets I wanted. Only after asking exactly how old they were did I find out they were a little over two weeks old, but "very hardy". Of course they weren't hardy enough to put outside in the coop yet, but he was willing to call them pullets and say they were really hardy, just not hardy enough to be outside or without a heat lamp! That's not hardy, by the way. The second time I tried to buy something from them was when I wanted to make a fence using hardware cloth to protect my garden from gophers. They were unable to sell me the size and length I needed, and didn't offer to order it for me. I said I would look on Amazon and they said OK and hung up. Why don't farm stores sell things farmers need in Yakima? Why is Amazon the only place you can find things like basic fencing or decent chicken feed? Why don't any stores like this sell actual pullets instead of just chicks? Did you know not everyone that has a chicken coop outside has a place to raise chicks inside?
