(Side note: Just an example, not facts.) This is how well you can expect to be treated if you choose this Bank. Brittany is a wonderful person with great customer service skills! Christopher Sadowski was my consultant / representative. He was personable enough, but I guess he's like most folks in positions like this. He told me to reach back out to him "in a week or two" or "next month" to see about refunding the account for an order of checks. I knew I'd be pretty slammed so I set an calendar reminder. I emailed Mr. Sadowski not once, but twice, inquiring about the refund. To be clear - he never promised a refund, he just told me to check back and he'd make an inquiry once the charge posted to the account. Honestly - $15 won't break me - but a reply email would have been greatly appreciated - especially since I have been a Bank of America for over twenty years, and have more than four accounts with them.

The account information is not live. Customer service is closed after 8:00 p.m. if you have any…read more account issues & they're closed on weekends, except for fraud. If an ATM rejects a check, but keeps it, this bank has trouble finding the check after over 10 business days. If you're a single woman who wants to deposit a personal or an unknown business check, be prepared to be accused of being part of a romance scam and have your account closed if you dispute it. Nothing may be your fault & you may not have gotten funds for the check, but your account will be closed & considered fraudulent. I personally don't think that banks should penalize all women, assuming that we're all victims of romance scams. I find that insulting & discriminating. This is important because this label will follow the woman & make it difficult for her to open another account. They also don't have regular tellers here, so beware if you're in a rush!

Employees / banks like this make you feel valued as a person - not just an account number. When they heard our Mother passed away, they actually sent a condolence card signed by the local staff members. As a sidenote, Southeastern Bank - formerly Darien Bank - who my parents have banked with for over 40 years have proven themselves to have fallen away from this small town, personal bank experience in the last few months. See that review. Like most banks - The Heritage Bank offers online banking and they have at least one free* checking account option. They have a sister branch in Brunswick (and a few other places) making it pretty convenient. The only thing I wish they offered and don't - is a half day on Saturdays or late evening hours at least one day a week. For folks that work Mon - Fri from 8 - 5pm, it can be struggle to visit a bank with limited hours. Hopefully, they will offer Saturday hours soon. I recently had the opportunity to talk with Jordan and she was great too - patient, sweet and friendly. I look forward to many years of happy banking with The Heritage Bank.

Will never bank at this establishment again. I was the executor of my mother's estate. I deposited…read more$100,000 there from the sale of her home to hold until disbursement to heirs. Apparently there was some issue with how the forms were filled out though the person who handled the transaction at the bank reviewed the forms. A short time later I find a check for $100,000 sent to me in regular mail, no call, no notice. Who the heck sends $100,000 back to a customer using regular mail with no prior contact to notify me that there was a problem!!! This was the most unprofessional financial transaction I have ever experienced. I will never bank with Bank of America again!
