Love this bank!!! We opened an account a few weeks ago and Melissa D was so amazing. The entire process was quick and painless. Employees / banks like this make you feel valued as a person - not just an account number. When they heard our Mother passed away, they actually sent a condolence card signed by the local staff members.
As a sidenote, Southeastern Bank - formerly Darien Bank - who my parents have banked with for over 40 years have proven themselves to have fallen away from this small town, personal bank experience in the last few months. See that review.
Like most banks - The Heritage Bank offers online banking and they have at least one free* checking account option. They have a sister branch in Brunswick (and a few other places) making it pretty convenient. The only thing I wish they offered and don't - is a half day on Saturdays or late evening hours at least one day a week. For folks that work Mon - Fri from 8 - 5pm, it can be struggle to visit a bank with limited hours. Hopefully, they will offer Saturday hours soon.
