If an ATM rejects a check, but keeps it, this bank has trouble finding the check after over 10 business days. If you're a single woman who wants to deposit a personal or an unknown business check, be prepared to be accused of being part of a romance scam and have your account closed if you dispute it. Nothing may be your fault & you may not have gotten funds for the check, but your account will be closed & considered fraudulent. I personally don't think that banks should penalize all women, assuming that we're all victims of romance scams. I find that insulting & discriminating. This is important because this label will follow the woman & make it difficult for her to open another account. They also don't have regular tellers here, so beware if you're in a rush!

I visited this bank to set up an estate account after my parent passed away. I stopped by multiple…read moretimes and there was always an insane wait - so I finally made an appointment. Christopher Sadowski was my consultant / representative. He was personable enough, but I guess he's like most folks in positions like this. He told me to reach back out to him "in a week or two" or "next month" to see about refunding the account for an order of checks. I knew I'd be pretty slammed so I set an calendar reminder. I emailed Mr. Sadowski not once, but twice, inquiring about the refund. To be clear - he never promised a refund, he just told me to check back and he'd make an inquiry once the charge posted to the account. Honestly - $15 won't break me - but a reply email would have been greatly appreciated - especially since I have been a Bank of America for over twenty years, and have more than four accounts with them.
