I asked if he'd replace it, if I bought the OEM parts myself and was still told they won't touch it, because it's a Nissan. I found Crosnos Transmission on yelp and they had good reviews. When I called they were upfront that it would take two weeks to even get started on it because of their current work load. After I told them what was happening with it, they quoted me a ballpark price that was about $1600 less than my other quotes and was exactly what they ended up charging me after I took it to them. They had my Suburban for about 3 weeks. They warranty their rebuilds which is nice so as long as you live within or breakdown within driving distance. However, if it goes down while on a road trip you are going to have to ship it back before they can fix it. I only made it four stars based on two things. The man who runs the shop is grumpy, and 3 weeks is a long time to go without a car. I have had my vehicle back for over a month and am about to take a trip in it, so I will update the review if anything happens significantly during the trip.
