Northgate now houses a lot of stores including 2 supermarkets, a gym, McDonalds, Taco Bell, a few anchor stores and much much more. The parking lot is extremely large with more than enough spots for everyone even on the busiest of shopping days. This is a one stop eat, bank and shop stop. There is a younger employee who frequently seems irritated, and an older gentleman who also comes across as very unapproachable. I'm not expecting anyone to constantly smile, but basic friendliness, communication, and good customer service would make a big difference. Outside, there are also frequently shopping carts left all over the parking lot instead of being returned to the designated cart areas. I had one somewhat negative experience after a delivery person dropped stove pieces outside of my home and tried to deliver without comment (I witnessed). It took an unnecessary amount of discussion with folks back at the store to come up with a repair plan. But ultimately they helped to re-send replacement cast iron parts for what had been dropped and damaged. Most recently, I have grown very frustrated with trying to access the 50% rebate on an unused five-year warranty. I feel that I was misled. It's come to my attention that the "50% back" is actually just for Beach Sales purchases, and it's not a refund check as it had seemed. Not only that, there are many many hoops to jump through. Even after jumping through all the hoops and gathering all the old documents from five years ago AND following the guidelines, I am still waiting six months later with no rebate. No coupon nor check. While the extra five-year warranty sounds like a good idea, don't count on the 50% back rebate. And be sure to ask questions.

There was a large entrance with escalators leading up into the store. This escalator system also has a carriage escalator for going down only which is very convenient for large full carriages. There is also access by elevator. Once entering the store, the grocery section is over to the right. The fruits and vegetables are usually laid out nicely and looks pretty clean. There's also a very small deli where they can slice you. There is a prepackaged meat section. Take your chances. Then many many isles of grocery and food type items. Basically like a huge supermarket. if you go further down to the straight ahead or left, you will enter the regular isles of the store and it would be set up like every Walmart in your town. I have been here numerous times to go to Walmart to get some. That being said I have had many bad experiences with customer service.. It just doesn't seem to exist at this location. Most of the employees on the floor can't even answer a simple question because they don't speak English. The clerks at the register two out of 10 are polite, courteous, and do their job correctly. The customer service area they're just rude and ignorant as were the two managers I spoke with. I actually tried to call corporate one day because one of the managers were so inconsiderate, rude mean and thinking they were some kind of big shot. Never seen a manager act like this. Maybe they shouldn't as managers until they get better people skills. That being said, the pricing is the same as every Walmart in the area. Items usually look fully stocked. Electronics you will never find anyone to help you except people trying to sell your phone service that don't work for Walmart. All be like me and just go there when it is a necessity..
