They could not make change for $7.16. They only had a $5 in the drawer and said I could take 20 dimes or "eat the two dollars". The employee literally told me that. They claimed it was Sunday so all the banks were closed. But a store like Brandy Melville doesn't have money in the store that they open with? It was noon. Every retail business or restaurant I've ever worked for has a "bank" in the register to start the day. It was like actual cash was something they'd never seen before. Finally a different employee found 8 quarters so I took it and left.

Unlike other countries where there's Mango and Zara everywhere. And I'll take Zara any day over H&M, Forever 21 or horror of horrors, Le Chateau. I've been to Zara stores in London, Rome, Athens, Crete, Ankara, Antalya, Washington DC, Paris and Brussels and it's the same craziness everywhere, frantic, crazed women grabbing poorly-made clothes as if they were Burmese rubies or Colombian emeralds. In the early 2000's Zara's quality was far, far better as you could really find good stuff but with global expansion, quality has taken a hit unfortunately. What I do is I scan their website first, if there's something I REALLY like, I'll go into the store to try it on (the Zara at Rockland or Fairview is easier than the downtown location) if it fits well, is half decently constructed, then I'll go online and buy it there. Their leather shoes and boots are still decent and if you're diligent you can still find the odd gem like I do from time to time in the form of a David Bowie as Ziggy Stardust t-shirt, black suede loafers with punk-ish metal studs, butterfly- shaped mod sunglasses, steel-toe capped combat boots, Chelsea boots, packable windbreaker that becomes a bag and can be used as a pillow like the old K-ways from the 80's ( a lifesaver while traveling, trust me)

With over 320,000 square feet of stores and services, Place Montreal Trust attracts 14 million visitors each year. Place Montreal Trust is linked to the Underground City of Montreal and the metro network as well. Inexpensive options here would be stores like Dollarama and McDonald's, making this shopping mall a value stop as compared to the Eaton center next door.

I created 7 tickets to try and escalate for any update about the status of my order -- all to no avail. I'm sharing my experience with SSENSE regarding a returned item…read more I received the item and did not observe any dark or black discoloration at that time. I also never wore or used the item. After I returned it, SSENSE sent me blurry photos showing what they described as dark or black staining and stated that the damage was caused by me. This was confusing, as the condition shown in their photos does not reflect anything I personally observed or caused. Given that the item is made of silk -- a very delicate fabric -- my reasonable assumption is that any discoloration could have occurred during handling, storage, or packaging, including possible transfer from the cardboard materials used in shipping. I approached this situation respectfully and in good faith, but my refund request was denied, with responsibility placed entirely on me. I found this handling disappointing and lacking transparency, especially for a fragile item that was never worn. I'm sharing this feedback so others are aware and in the hope that SSENSE improves how it reviews and resolves return disputes involving delicate materials.

The Longer Version: This location is inside Place Montreal Trust. It's on the most lower level of the mall. Same level as the Food Court. It has the largest selection of luxury brands of all the downtown-ish Winners (more than the Alexis Nihon, Complexe Desjardins and Peel Winners). I spotted an Yves Saint Laurent bag for $2700. They had Gucci shoes, sunglasses and hats. Some Chloe, Ferragamo, and Valentino bags too. And other brands. Their luxury brands are locked up in glass displays so you have to get a staff member to unlock it for you. The contemporary brands like Coach, Michael Kors, Ted Baker, and Kate Spade are out and about for you to handle on your own. This location is large and has a jewelry section and children's clothing and shoes as well (these sections are the first to be cut in the smaller "urban concept" stores, and even though this location is urban it's definitely a full-sized store). It has the usual women's and men's clothing and shoes and housewares. It's also always busy and crowded. So my feelings about it are mixed. I love the size and large selection but I hate the crowds.
