When I attempted to return an item with my emailed receipt, Trudy refused to scan the item or review the receipt. Instead, she dismissed me, sucked her teeth, walked away without a word, and falsely told the Assistant Manager the dress was not in your system--even though I had proof of purchase. Because I found her behavior suspicious, I recorded part of the encounter on audio, which supports my account in addition to your in-store camera footage. This evidence clearly shows Trudy failed to follow procedure and misrepresented the situation to her manager. When confronted, Trudy displayed open hostility. After I told her she was being racist, she abandoned the register and walked off the job mid-transaction. The Assistant Manager later said they would make an "exception" to process the return, which was insulting since I had a valid receipt. The store manager's nonchalant response further demonstrated a lack of seriousness in handling this discrimination. read more

I finally found the time to return to Marshalls, and as soon as I walked in, the atmosphere was totally different from earlier in the year. The clothing displayed in the women's section was unappealing, with the entire section being disorganized. I was specifically looking for spring/summer colors since the weather has been getting warmer, but the clothing was very dark. These issues were only found on the first floor, hence me giving this review two stars, the second floor was very organized and I was able to find my necessities easily. Hopefully this review can lead to positive changes as I truly loved shopping here. read more

We stopped by over the weekend to buy some new work clothes. We had a splendid time. The store is quite large with two floors (I think). It shares a large parking lot with all the other affordable shopping stores in Manhasset. The staff was helpful and friendly. The whole clothing section was clean with plenty of options to choose from. The changing rooms were also clean and spacious. The whole concept of Marshalls is it sells designer clothes at a discount because regular department stores may not have been able to sell some of these clothes during the in-season, the sizes were not able to be sold, etc. I saw tons of clothes from well-known companies. I came out with 3 work pants, 2 sweaters, and another pair of pants that could pass for work pants all for less than $150. Definitely a spot worth checking out if you are trying to save and on a budget. read more

Just your average Marshall's. I really have found good things in almost every department. The best an most organized part is the clothing section. Always neat and organized. Women's clothing is on the first floor and men's is on the second. Good selection for every size. I found their shoe department a little lacking. Really cheap looking shoe wear. Only once did I find a decent shoe purchase. On the first floor is also a luggage section. Upstairs is the men's clothing section and household items section. There isn't much of a selection for blankets and bedspreads however it's still good :) they're seasonal items are pretty good and very up to date. Those items have to be my favorite part of the store. Seasonal home decor is usually in good shape and at a really good price. I am unimpressed with their kitchenwares. That part of the store is where you have to rummage to really find something good. It's not unusual to find broken items here such as picture frames and chipped cutting boards. Their picture frame section is making a comeback. This Marshall's also has a good selection of smaller furniture items. It is all clean and not damaged. All in all, this Marshall's is like a step down from Homegoods. I like it for what it is. The staff is usually very kind, friendly and helpful; except for the older woman who does the women's fitting room. She's never friendly or ever has a smile on her face. Always treats you like you're a burden as much as i try to be nice and make things easier for her. You shouldn't treat people making purchases like a burden or be curt to them. Every time i go I always try to see some friendliness in her or a better attitude but I'm always let down. Anyway, I'm always here and will continue to come to look for good deals :) read more

I found pretty much what I wanted if you consider walking into these stores you have no idea what your looking for, but your going to come out with a bag full of something. Two shirts, two boxes of green tea and a mug later I'm in line. It's basically a like playing the lotto when you walk into any of these discount stores. Sometimes you win, sometimes you lose. This store has two floors and the kitchen stuff is upstairs. You might need a shopping cart if you go there first, or you just might need a shopping cart anyway. Shoes are downstairs. Parking is a little difficult as this store shares it's parking with Michaels (craft addict store) and King Kullen grocery store (clean but over priced) Watch out cause there are red camera lights at all four corners next to this location. read more

Very disappointed. I purchased a package of antibacterial hand wipes from this store, among other products, and placed them in my car to use to clean my hands whenever I went out in public to help prevent catching coronavirus. I bought those wipes because the hand sanitizer I used before thought effective, was destroying my hands. Within two days of using the antibacterial wipes I purchased here, I developed symptoms of corona, and three days later I tested positive for covid-19. I googled the ingredients of the wipes, and the main ingredient, benzalkonium chloride, does not kill covid at all. The product was a scam and I doubt that it contained any antibacterial properties at all. I ended up spreading covid to the rest of my household because of that product. I was sanitizing my hands basically with fragrance that claimed to 'kill 99.9% of germs,' then touching my face and lips with hands that smelled good, but were covered in germs. I called this store the day after I tested positive, to warn them that the wipes I bought from them were a counterfeit, and that they should remove those products from the shelves, before someone else buys them and falls victim. I cannot believe that a company can sell a fake antibacterial wipe in the middle of a global pandemic! Of all the knockoff things to sell! Fake designer bags is one thing, but fake hand sanitizer wipes? Who does that? The first customer service rep I spoke to mocked me by saying "you can't get covid from a wipe." Was this hard to understand? I was patient and spoke slowly to communicate with this untalented retail associate, then I was transferred to the store manager. I told the manager the name and brand of the product, and she said she would remove all of the remaining items from the shelves, and thanked me for reporting it. I returned to this store several weeks later and saw that the exact same wipes- Body Prescriptions Antibacterial Hand Wipes- were all still on the shelves, for sale right by the entrance. What an irresponsible thing to do. Selling a dangerous product in the first place, that people will use to clean their hands when they are on the go, and then not even taking them off the shelves once a customer informs you they are counterfeit! "Can't get covid from a wipe" as a way of avoiding responsibility is the real kicker though. I'm not sure why that guy thought it was bright to back talk a customer, especially over something very easy to understand. I guess that is just the retail crowd. But what that showed me is that this store does not follow sanitary measures for covid-19. They were expressly told those wipes are dangerous, fake products and completely ignored the warning and sold them anyway. I can't trust anything that comes from this store now. They might sell fake Lysol then claim you can't catch corona from Lysol next! I see why this happened- this store doesn't understand the concept of cleaning and disinfecting surfaces and hands. Okay so this is the only marshalls I go to. It's honestly one of my favorite stores to shop in. I live in Queens near another marshalls location and I drive all the way to this location to shop. What I love about it is that it's very organized (according to discount store standards) and has all the brands I need. I like that I don't have to go on a never ending search for items. This location never seems to get extremely busy which is a plus. Ample amount of parking in the lot. Definitely worth a visit to. read more

Worst location ever. I walked in and the place was so messy; I thought a tornado hit. The shoe area is chaotic; nothing is on display, nothing is organized, and shoes are literally all over the place. They have a nice dress selection, but seriously, that's where it ends. read more

The visit started out great. Then it was time to go to the dressing room. We were only allowed 10 pcs. Ok, that's fairly standard for this type of place. It got a little crazy when we were not allowed to try any of the first 10 items with any other items. So it too hours to run through each piece and have to IMAGINE how it looked w other items. We selected 22 items to purchase. Two of the items were 5.99. In all the folding and segregating of the items, we were not allowed to touch our selections, one of the 5.99 tags was lost. We were detained at the register while they determined this was a one of a kind item. First they wanted 9.99. I was not inclined to play this arbitrary pricing game. So declined and let them know, I felt that who purchased that item was going to be cheated. Elizabeth got very nasty and suggested that I follow up on YELP, Facebook, Twitter, etc to let everyone know what she was up to and said the item would now be marked 19.99. I feel very uncomfortable shopping in a store w such arbitrary pricing policies by capricious employees. I am going to return my purchase and cross this location off my shopping list. Hopefully, the representation of Marshall's is not company policy as interpreted by ELIZABETH and KESHIA P. Unless this is a franchise location and ELIZABETH is the owner, Marshall's should also be concerned. I have been to this unusual two story Marshall's a handful of times. Upon entry you are in a large shoe department. I have purchased a pair or two of shoes, perused through their toiletry and handbag department. The clothing department had young looking clothes for teens and twenty year olds. When taking the escalator upstairs there is a nice selection of men's clothing, but it is not very large. The house ware department has some nice stuff, but it is generally a mess. The check out clerks are fine, not overly friendly, but took their time at their job. It is really not a store I care to return to. read more

I always come here and I never have had a problem. However, this time it was different. My cashier's name was "Kim K"; but I doubt that is even her real name. Whenever I come here, she is always in an argument with somebody and today she started screaming at me that I was buying too many items and that I had to go back on the line to buy my other items, even though I had already waited on the exhausting line. She then proceeded to throw my card at me and she also threw the shopping bags at me too in a rude fashion. She was extremely disrespectful and needs to learn that customers also have feelings and can leave her store and buy their items elsewhere. Therefore, I will not come back to this store, because of the rude cashier, who embarrassed me in front of the whole store with her ridiculous argument. I used to be a loyal customer to this store, but now I decide not to go back to this store, because of the bad attitude of this Cashier named Megan M. Moreover, the store are selling more and more damaged or defective items and it is hard to return them, so I will not go back to this store! I rarely made a return for what I bought from Marshalls. However, i made two returns of defective items lately and it was the most unpleasnant experience in my shopping history. The first one is a frying pan. I cleaned it as instucted. I put some oil to use it and black things kept coming out, so I needed to return it. When I went to store to return it a week ago, this cashier named Megan M blamed on me in a rude manner that I did something wrong and that's why black things kept coming out! I told her that I cleaned it as instructed and I have used tons of frying pans and this is the first time. Then, she could not say anything, but her attitude was still extremely bad. Secondly, today I went to return a Polo T shirts which I did not know a part of it was torn when I bought. It was a different cashier, not Megan M, this time, but the cashier asked Megan M if she can accept the return. I was so shocked that Megan M is actually a manager and she has that kind of bad attitude as a manager. No wonder most of the cashiers there look unhappy, Megan M rejected the return at first and asked me in a rude manner again why it took eight days to bring back the damaged clothes! I even needed to explain that I got it for my nephew and I did not know that the t-shirt was damaged until my nephew wore it and my sister found out. Then, finally, she accepted the return. Their customer return piolicy said I can return any merchandise within 30 days. I don't know why she asked me that kind of stupid question and tried to blame on me just because I came to return after 8 days after the purchase for the damaged item. She needs to be sorry for selling damaged items, but whenever I went to return something defective or damaged, Megan M blamed on me, which is unacceptable customer service! Please be careful when you buy something there because there are tons of defective, damaged or faulty items in the store, these days, and if you want to return them, this rude manager Megan M will show up and blame on you! read more

This location although very large is just okay. It is two stories which make them have the space to be the best location but they fall a little short. The stocking of this place is sub par. I've been to plenty of locations that have more of everything in a tighter spot. Nonetheless this is the closest location to my house so I will be returning but on the list of Marshalls on LI you can definitely find better. read more

I hate this place. I was okay with it at first but it is actually a junk yard. Everything is all over the place, and it makes u splurge even though what you are buying is useless. Like most Marshalls, their stores consist of lots of items where time is needed to sort through it all and find those deals. They have a great children's department and womens/juniors. I typically do not come here on the weekends and so even throughout the week (in the later evenings) the lines can begin to get longer than I would like. I have spent from waiting on line for 2 minutes to 30 minutes. Sometimes I reconsider most of the items that I have in my hand when waiting for a long time period. Majority of the time I don't have a reason to come in or need anything specifically. I have found many great items over the years that have become staples for me from kitchen utensils to shoe, as far as travel items to gym clothes. Compared to other Marshalls, I have found this store to be a bit more organized. The fitting room in spacious and well lite and allows for easy viewing. I like that they have someone at the door to great their customers; this allows for those unfamiliar with the store to have questions answered or at least some direction. I like that they are not forcefully in their rewards/credit card options and allow for you to continue once no interested is shown. I will definitely be coming back to this location! read more

I haven't shopped here in awhile. The management in this store sucks.I shopped this location multiple times it seems to be getting worse. Last time i was here was about 4 months ago. A worker named Claudia is so nasty she screamed at another customer when something almost fell. She is very rude when i asked her about the price of something. The bathrooms are so gross there is pee and poop all over the place. The lines are always long. Some of the cashiers are nice but one is very nasty I don't know how she is still working. Asian lady with gloves always take stickers off the clothing saying it is wrong price. I complained to the two girls who said they are coordinators their names both started with A's. They apologized for the cashier being rude they both were very nice and apologetic about it. They told me they will talk to her . While i was talking to the girls the Asian one did the same thing to another customer. The other customer was complaining that the shirts are all on sale and wanted to speak to somebody in charge so the ponytail one went to find out what was going on. I kept talking to the one with glasses about how can the cashier keep doing that . The one with ponytail ended up finding more clothes with sale price on it and fixed it for that customer. The ponytail one came back and apologized for leaving to help the customer. I wish they had more cashiers like the two A's. I asked them is there anyway to find out if the clothing i wanted was on sale they both looked at each other and said we can check to see if we have more on the floor and check to see if its in the gun on sale. The one with glasses checked the gun. One shirt wasn't on the sale but the other was. The one with ponytail came back 10 minutes later and had found the exact clothing on sale. They both adjusted the price for me but i was concerned about waiting in line again. They both said don't worry about they will ring me up right now. The one with glasses rang me up and both girls apologized again to me. I will not shop here if that Asian lady is there. I recommend avoiding her at all cost and if you do get her ask for a manager or coordinator (make sure their name starts with the A)for help to make sure doesn't rip the tickets off read more
