I don't usually make reviews but I feel like it needs to be said in order to help other parents and their young baby boys. My son was 1 year old brought him in for a very high fever, mind you this is my first child so of course I took him to the ER. They said they needed a urine sample I said okay And they told me to take down his pants so I did, and the doctor proceeded to try and PULL his 4skin back on his uncircumcised penis, I thought that a doctor would understand that you were not supposed to pull back foreskin on a small child. It won't even go back until they're at least five years old. It is connected to their body still I wasn't going to post until my friend had a very similar experience with her uncircumcised son, they tried to pull his skin back, which is extremely painful especially at this age. She is a new mom as well and didn't know what else to do. I really think that the doctors here need to be educated on uncircumcised penises small children it's just horrific my son and others have gone through such a horrific time getting their skin ripped away from their other skin. Educate your f***ing doctors on human anatomy.

Bad stitches for minor laceration from Marshall ER.

Cut my finger pretty bad on a new set of knives. Went to the emergency room. Took 5 hours to get 5 stitches. They were not that busy. They just kept wanting me to get an X-ray - which I didn't need. Almost a week later the cut is still bleeding and I have franknfinger. Just moved to this area and Marshall was the closest ER. I guess from now on I'll be heading down to Folsom.

Worst hospital emergency room wait time, I waited 5 hours, and never saw a Dr. I had a rude nurse, named Ana. All the nurses walk around like turtles and are eating like it's grazing time. This place is totally understaffed for Doctors. I am leaving after not being treated, I've been here 5 hrs. I'm visiting from out of town so this is the only place my insurance will cover.

Not amped on feeling horrible but loved the entire staff.

The nurses in preop (thank you, Tanya) were gracious and thoughtful. The surgical nurse, Beth, was funny and kind, which helped put me at ease as he went back to surgery. Afterward, the nurses who supervised his recovery were gentle and helpful. Overnight, the RN Carrie and the aide, Claudia were attentive, thoughtful and patient. Our day nurse, Bryan was funny and very helpful (be sure to check out his shoes!) Overall, this was the best hospital experience I've had. It was clear that the staff (and doctors: hats off to Dr. Molitar, who came out following surgery to ease my concerns and let me know how the surgery went. He had been in surgery all day, although it was late, he took time to come out to update me personally,) anyway, it is abundantly Care that Marshall Hospital cares. From what I understand, they've come a long way.

I had a horrifying experience in April of 2024 here. I came for treatment for a neurological…read moredisorder that had become exacerbated, but was labeled psychotic, treated like I wasn't even a human being. I wasn't allowed to have visitors or make phone calls and there is no documentation in my records as to why my civil rights were revoked. It shouldn't matter if a person is truly psychotic or not, but staff here will treat you like a second-class citizen if they believe you are a psychiatric patient. Staff would not allow my husband to visit with me and they never even told me he showed up. I was devastated because I thought my husband had abandoned me when I was in a neurological crisis. When I requested my medical records, they were filled with errors, and they falsely documented that my husband agreed to transfer me to a psych ward. As if my husband doesn't know my medical history. He would never do that! Staff at Marshall documented that my rights to use the phone or have visitors were revoked. Whether you're on a 5150 hold or not, or a psychiatric patient or not, this is a violation of a person's Civil Rights and in violation of the Lanterman Petris Short Act ***(which BTW, the patient advocates and staff at Marshall told me they "never heard of the LPS Act", which is the law that governs 5150 Holds, and the law that California put into place in the 1960s TO END INDEFINITE HOSPITALIZATIONS AND CONSERVATORSHIPS and to make sure psychiatric patients did not have LESS RIGHTS THAN PRISONERS) My husband wrote Marshall a signed letter asking them to change the false documentation and false quotes they attributed to him in my records, but they wouldn't. El Dorado County Behavioral Health ended up correcting their false documentation in my records. But it wasn't without a fight, and it wasn't without severe damage to my marriage and my mental health. I even showed Marshall that El Dorado corrected my records. Filed 3 separate complaints about my medical records being erroneous and inaccurate, but they don't care. Now I have false diagnoses in my medical records, which are legal documents. In 2016, Marshall agreed to pay $5.5 million to settle allegations that it defrauded Medicare and Medi-Cal in billing. They were double-billing and practicing fraudulent documentation. Well, it seems that they are now trying to use psychiatric diagnostic codes in order to get reimbursed more money, since they can't get away with double-billing Medicare and Medi-Cal anymore. Psychiatric patients (and non-psychiatric patients) who are mistaken for substance abusers or psychiatric patients at Marshall are in real danger of losing their civil rights here and I don't say that lightly. I'm absolutely disgusted with this place and will never go there again. I was so upset about my experience at Marshall, I ended up creating an advanced directive just to have in writing that I am never to be brought to Marshall under any circumstances.

I mean they went through the normal procedures for patients who have chest pain, but to see how quickly they got her issue resolved was very impressive to me. Yes we stayed there from 6pm to about 10pm, but that tells me that they were very thorough. From the time we got there until the time we left they were very attentive to her. They took blood a couple of times and also did EKG's a couple of times as well. Being someone who just moved to the Folsom area, we weren't 100% sure on who to go with. They advised to have my wife follow up with her PCP due to they didnt find any Heart Attack symptoms. So let me start off by saying Thank you Mercy Hospital. Your Staff, your attentiveness to my wife didnt go unnoticed and it was very appreciated how well you cared for her. If we need any further Health Care, we will be back.

Upon arrival they checked me in and immediately called me to the billing staff to get my insurance information by the way I pay for my Insurance I'm not a leach on society like all the rest of the tweakers and the morbidly obese in the waiting room. After an hour, they did a blood test to check for cardiac enzymes after two hours. They did a chest x-ray. After three hours They did a CT with contrast. Add about five hours I was thinking it was strange that I still haven't heard anything and haven't even seen a doctor and I'm still sitting in the waiting room while a nurse is playing Dr on me next to tweakers and Folsom's finest lowlifes. They brought me behind a curtain again in the general waiting area and told me they needed to draw more blood at this point I asked them to remove the IV catheter because I intended on going home the phlebotomist went and retrieved the nurse and I asked her to remove the IV catheter. I told her I do not feel comfortable having her play Dr in the waiting room. At this point, she got frustrated with me and told me I was refusing medical service which I replied nicely. I don't believe I've received much medical service nor has anyone talk to me or told me what's going on for 5 1/half hours she also told me if I went home with the IV in my arm she would send the police to my house. I'm no expert in the HIPAA rules, but I believe her telling the police I have IV in my arm would probably be a violation of this. Finally, after some debate, she removed the IV catheter and I went home. I have been to hospitals in Third World countries which are much Cleaner and throw than this hospital and the total cost of the visit was less than my co-pay. I would never go here again. If you're in an ambulance getting transported and they say they're taking you to Folsom mercy kick the back door open and push the gurney out on the highway. I can promise you will have much better luck than the waiting room nurse playing Dr in a petri dish of nastiness, they call a waiting room. The major problem with this hospitals emergency room is that they wear you down and make you never wanna come back how many people die every year because they had such a bad experience of Folsom mercy and decided to stay home instead of go to the emergency room when they need medical attention. Don't be one of those people go to a different hospital and see an actual doctor in an actual hospital room not a nurse playing Dr in a waiting room. For those of you who voted for Obama care I hope you go to this hospital you cause this mess. By the way, I should've checked the Yelp reviews they only had 2 1/2 stars the lithium battery that I purchased on Amazon and it caught fire in my living room had three stars. Steer clear of this place unless you want to dance with the devil. This hospital should be classified as a teaching hospital because they teach you never to come back.

I understand that the ED is busy but I didn't choose him to work there, he did. so the being busy thing cant be a good excuse. Doctor Daniel Sadoma wouldn't contact my surgical team after they were the ones who sent me to the ED. He was obsessed with an issue that I didn't go in for and I very clearly told him was not my problem. I reviewed the notes after I left and he actually lied on the documentation about the exam he provided. The paper work stated that he checked my eyes, lungs, etc. standard triage stuff. He never did any of that. He actually lied saying we discussed changing my routine around constipation too. He didn't discuss any changes with me. Nothing was even talked about in regards to the pain that I came in for. Literally zero pain management options were brought up. That sad I have no interest in pain meds. I wanted to be treated properly. This doctor didn't even do the bare minimum in that regard. Just the fact that I told him repeatedly that I was a bariatric patient and that my team from this same hospital sent me there and he decided that wasn't important. At one point he asked me if they wanted me admitted and I said I don't know why don't you contact them. He replied that he only contacted specialist if he had a reason to! I guess that specialist literally telling me to do he ED wasn't a good enough reason. I don't even live near Roseville, I only drove here because this is where my surgical team is! BECAUSE THEY TOLD ME TO GO HERE! Avoid Doctor Daniel Sadoma at all costs. there are way better doctors here and if you end up with this man ask for someone else or push hard to get proper care because he won't listen to you. maybe it's because I am a woman. or maybe he just thinks he knows better than my surgical team. Maybe it's garden variety doctor arrogance.

Every staff member around us took amazing care of us and let us know along the way what they were about to do next, asking about our pain level. The amount of care that I felt was more than I have ever had in my life, but given the situation, was necessary. I fortunately did not break any bones and did not lose consciousness when the accident occurred. I am full of bumps and bruises, back aches and neck pain. The headaches.... I am so thankful for this trauma unit and how nice everyone was and how fast they acted checking for anything major. Roseville Sutter Medical Center is an amazing hospital. They have amazing staff.
