There was a rotten strip of wood that was not repaired during the painting process. About a week after he left I found a small rotten piece of wood over the garage door. You could put your finger through it. He told me to use wood filler and then paint it. You can fill small holes not an 18 inch strip. He told me to come back it would be $550 to do the work and I had the wood. So instead of paying that ridiculous price I called my handyman and had him do the work and buy the materials. It was $216 total. Then I filed a claim with the County Board Department of Labor for the $216. Mr. Wockenfuss did not want to pay and wrote a letter stating why and never honored the warranty or his work. I consider him a poor businessman. Yes he gives a decent price but he is not a decent person. So buyer beware. If everything goes well and he can leave rotten wood where you can't see it, you will be happy with his work. Beware if you want an honorable contractor. This happened in 2022. I was going through some old papers and decided to submit this before I throw the papers away.

So we gave them a call when we needed some interior painting done. Dave was prompt and thoughtful as he inspected our project area and he was very honest in his analysis. His pricing was fair and transparent. We ended up waiting to do the interior work during colder months when he offers discounts for interior painting. He gave us a great price and scheduled the work right away. His team did an amazing job and was very respectful, cleaning up at the end of each day. They also resolved a minor misunderstanding about paint colors with excellent customer service. We also had Wokenfus replace French doors which we had purchased most of the supplies ahead of time. They did an amazing job around the botched work of a previous contractor and made the doors look beautiful! He also provided quotes for some other interior carpentry. Unfortunately we are holding on some of that work to focus on recent water damage elsewhere. Dave seems to understand that establishing a long term trusted relationship with his clients is an important part of running his business. I hope to be able to provide an update after our exterior painting is completed.

Since I'm not familiar with painting or wall repair, I asked my boyfriend--who has 25 years of construction experience--to speak with him about the scope and cost. My boyfriend, who is currently stationed overseas, was able to negotiate the price down to $1,800. Bill claimed that $600 of that was just for materials. Given that cost, I expected the walls to be properly prepped, primed with drywall primer, and imperfections repaired. Unfortunately, that didn't happen. While I appreciate that his team removed the old shelving, they left the hose mount on the wall and got paint on the door frame. They also failed to leave me the extra paint I had paid for, which I needed to address missed spots and repairs. I reached out to Bill via text three times. He initially said he would bring the extra paint but then stopped responding. I ultimately had to take a piece of damaged wall to Sherwin-Williams to get a color match and fix it myself. To make matters worse, when I expressed my concerns and asked him to speak with my boyfriend directly, he was dismissive and unprofessional. I've since had other painters look at the job, and they agreed I was overcharged for the quality of work delivered. Lesson learned: If you decide to hire this company, make sure you're either knowledgeable about painting or have someone experienced with you to avoid being taken advantage of--especially when it comes to labor and material costs.

I am a property manager (25 years in). I have worked with many contractors over the years. However…read morethis was a big deal for me, because this was my own home. (Not that i didnt care about the other it just became much more personal to me). I can honestly say that Julio's painting company has been one of the best I have ever encountered. It is my practice to gather estimates from several company's , Julio was one of the 7 that showed up and wrote up a proposal. He was the 3rd lowest in the group, but what put him to the top, is that i needed someone to hang a chandelier in the foyer and he wrote it into his proposal, while others wanted to charge separately with additional fees. I always find it Leary, when contractors try to make allowances to charge you more with their "IF something happens" or "IF more time or material is needed". You know what i mean. I just want one straight up number (amount) and we are good to go!! He also took his time and made lots of notes when he did a walk through. You could see that he truly knew his "Work"! We hired him and he and his crew showed up a week later right on time! They were there for Aprox 3 days repairing and fixing the drywalls sanding it down and then painting (walls, ceiling, trims and doors). They then took a day break, because we had our household goods delivered. (Yes, they were very flexible and willing to working with us). They restarted the next day and by day 5 they were all done. During the job, my husband and i set up camp in our basement, so we wouldn't be in there way, however whatever encounters we had, he and his crew were very respectful, accommodating and mindful of there presence there. They cleaned up at the end of each day. On the day before completion, he had us walk the house and gave us painters tape to mark any areas of concern. They showed up the next day and addressed every nicks and scrapes that we tagged. On completion, we were extremely happy and satisfied with the job they had done. So Pleased that we contracted him to do the Exterior of the home. They power washed the walls, gutters, siding and even my windows. they then painted all the trim and areas that they had power washed. They did such an AMAZING job that two of our neighbors have already requested a referral. I cant say enough about this company and Julio.
