The technicians name was Jason who performed the oil change, then he took it out for a test drive and brought it back and gave me the keys. Everything was fine till I got on the 401 heading home and the clutch started slipping like crazy. Took it back the next day, Jason got into the drivers seat with myself in the passenger seat and right off the bat he was unable to switch the gears properly in his greasy steel toed boots and revved the engine like mad leaving Canadian tire before engaging 2nd gear. Tells me the clutch was terrible before the oil change and needs replacing. Deadass look this guy in the eyes and tell him he just slipped gears in his steel toed boots, explained the clutch just got replaced last year. The manager I want to say his name was Pinot says it's my fault and I was looking for a free clutch job. I've never returned or taken any of my vehicles back to this location. Was such a slap in the face, had someone else pull the flywheel and took it back and left it in his office. Avoid this location at all costs, my buddy who owns a tow truck company also avoids dropping vehicles off here after we had a conversation. If I can steer at least $500,000-1,000,000 of business away a year from this location it's worth it

WOMEN BEWARE - MISOGYNY IN THE AUTO CENTRE…read more This review is regarding my experience at the Auto Centre of this store. On April 11, 2026 I brought my vehicle in for a tire swap (winter tires to seasonal tires). A few minutes after my car was driven in, a young man came into the waiting room asking if I needed an alignment. I said I was unsure if I booked that service in the appointment, but if it was needed, they could proceed. The young man said he would wait until the technician completed the swap to see if the alignment was required. The young man later called me up to the service desk and said that I needed a new tire, he would order the tire, and we can set up an appointment to install it later in the week. Then he said that my lug nuts were missing and I would need to purchase new ones. I knew they were in the car as I verified this prior to bringing the car in. This brought me back to the appointment I had with this location in the fall of 2025, when they put my winter tires on. I was told my lug nuts were missing and I said I do not remove the lug nuts from my car and they must have been misplaced by the Auto Centre when I can in the spring of 2025 for my previous tire swap. They said they would replace the lug nuts, but then was told I needed some other service that "they recommend to everyone". I agreed to their recommendation. I now realized they recommended the other service to cover the cost of the replacement lug nuts they lost. I told the young man to cancel the tire order, put whatever tires they needed to back on my car, so I could leave. I told the young man that I didn't believe a word he was telling me. Then a woman appeared who said she overheard the conversation. I told her that I was only being treated like this because I am a woman, and the lug nuts were indeed in the car. She went to check this with the technician. In the meantime, I phoned my husband to ask him to come help me. Of course, my husband was told the truth as to what was happening with the lug nuts. They were not missing, but didn't fit. My husband told whomever he was dealing with that this was impossible as they were the same lug nuts they took off from my seasonal tires as they were not removed from the vehicle. The only answer my husband kept getting to any questions he asked was "I don't know". Ladies, avoid this location at all costs. They will lie to you about missing items in your car and try to upsell you on services you do not need.

So I started at the Levi's section found something in my size off the clearance rack, nice. Then headed to the new Zellers location on the upper floor. Not sure what was Zellers branded, there were many clothing that were already available at the Bay, I mean- you couldn't fool me I was a Zellers customer. I didn't see any Truly brand products, there were cutlery and pots that were clean and pretty looking ikea like. The old image that made the brand pop like the cat was on the wall. The clothing- didn't seem very Zellers. There was no retro diner available but apparently in the morning there were food trucks to imitate the diner like experience. There was no salon within the store, remember in the past there was a tattered salon with ladies who knew what they were doing and had designer hair products- definitely a hidden gem for a salon. On check out, I pulled the Levi's out it pay, pulled up my old bay membership and reminded the til person the friends and family discount. I more recently started using The Bay online for clothing for my wife, my watch and so on. Having recently moved, we wre looking for furniture, in particular beds for us and our daughter, a king and a queen. An online sale for Gluckstein had Canadian-made beds on sale half price, from over $3,000 to $1,500. How can you go wrong? HORRIBLY. Delivered to our new house, e could not set up right away. We eventually opened the king size bed boxes - NO instructions! Huge head board had two small metal brackets for the side rails, that was it. The entire foot board was a drawer, and not one that was merely part of the footboard. AND the drawer was all that held the rails in place. It wiggled just looking at it. The worst part? Three plywood pieces were the "base" on which you were supposed to place the mattress. Twelve screws to hold all four in place - TWELVE screws. The boards were bending before we put the box spring on. It nearly. Broke when I sat down, and I had to jump off. We called to return both - sorry, King size mattresses are "custom orders" and cannot be returned FOR ANY REASON! Even "does not function as a bed". We were promised after showing pictures to a store staffer in Waterloo a full refund and return. When no one showed up, we called and we're told "oh, he should not have said that, he is being retrained. You can return the queen size with 20 percent restocking charge. We took a $2,600 bath at The Bay. NEVER buy furniture on line. NEVER buy Gluckstein or shop at the Bay. Thirty plus years of shopping is now over. "Thank you for shopping at The Bay". Fat chance. From their name and branding it gives an impression…read morethat they've been around for a while (give me a bit of Honest Ed's feel, I don't know why) but it's actually been about 2 years and this location near Kensington Market being their newest. When you come in, it does give a slight attic smell, which I don't mind. They told me they usually restock on Thursdays and the other location by Sterling Road usually carries even more inventory. I purchased a shiatsu massager and back up Aukey earphones that were new in package from the Ex. However, the earphones didn't work. The great thing is they are one of the few or probably only liquidators that I know that allows for a 7 day return if there's an issue. Normally most discount liquidators I've been to, it's pretty much the final sale. I wasn't able to visit within 7 days, but did send them an email with the issue with the earphones so they extended the warranty for me to come in within the end of the month to get store credit or exchange, which I'm so grateful for. Apparently they sold hundreds of those earphones and only a few came back with issues. I was able to drop by yesterday after work and decided to exchange for another shiatsu massager for my in-laws. What I appreciate about this spot is that it's relatively organized in shelves with multiple copies of an item. There are bargain bins too for $5 if you really want to search for any deals and treasures. I much prefer than other liquidators where usually things are thrown in bins and you don't know exactly what it is until you open it. The staff there was also super patient and friendly. Definitely if you're in the area peek in and see if you score any deals. They will be moving back inventory from the Ex today and the pricing seems to be the same. Though they might offer tax off discounts with cash at the Ex but not at the store.
