Had a friend visiting me from Kansas City recently and I gave him a mini tour of some of my favorite Tulsa micro-breweries. Marshall brewing was our first stop. I just like the interior of this place. Lots of brick walls, some brewing equipment right in the front room and gotta love those circular LED lights they have over the tables. Best brewery in Tulsa! Delicious beers with a great range of crisp, hoppy pilsners to smooth, flavorful stouts. Also, you'll find chill vibes all around, large wooden tables and benches typical of a German brewhouses, several large TVs if you want to catch a game, shuffle board, board games, a spacious, dog-friendly outdoor patio, and live music on occasion. You can grab BBQ from the food truck or bring your own grub. Several beers are cheaper during their lager hour (M-Th 4-6pm), and if you are there when the train passes, you can get a discounted Slow Train IPA. They also collaborate with the city's symphony orchestra putting on fundraisers in which they pair beers with various classical music pieces. Be on the lookout for the next one. Went to Marshall's for the first time Friday night to listen to the band of a friend of a friend. What a fun time! The place was hopping with people having a good time. I had a very tasty hibiscus cider! We were seated in the private "stammtisch" room which aligns wonderfully with the Biergarten. Hopefully we'll have some nice spring evenings to enjoy that part! read more

Marshall Brewing Company is a familiar name in Tulsa's brewing scene. All the major grocery stores carry their beers (but not all). So making the trip to visit their brewery has its perks. The taproom is quite spacious and neatly decorated. The bartender is pleasant and knowledgeable. They have a bottom entrance level with a long table and a few seating areas. The top level has long tables and bar areas where you can enjoy some live sports. They also have a backyard area (if you fancy outdoors) and a very tiny private room. The beer selection is diverse and has seasonal items. I recommend their flight if you're not familiar with them. Their USS Tulsa is delightful - it's an oatmeal IPA, very balanced, and has a tasty hop. Not too light. We also like their Oktoberfest LH. By the way, it's pet-friendly! However, the music is a bit loud, particularly in the lower level. read more

It was our first time checking out Marshall last night and we met up with a group of coworkers! Great beer and a big space so there's plenty of room for groups. They have an outdoor beer patio as well for those warmer days/evenings. Lots of board games available, a small selection of snacks or you can bring your own outside food in. The Wurst food cart is parked outside of Cabin Boys (2 min walk away) so you can eat and hop around the breweries! read more

We love Marshall Brewing Company! Being from CT makes us the spoiled children of good beer (IMHO) we have 100+ craft breweries in our tiny state, we can always find what we like and how we like it. We visit my sister in Broken Arrow whenever we can, and when we are in Oklahoma we always find great beer at Marshall! The taproom is spacious and has big tables for groups or spacing out now that we're all 'distancing'. I liked that they have digital menus and are linked to the UnTapped app (my check-in showed up on the screen - how fun!). Most recent visit I got the hubby a tee-shirt he wears constantly and myself a nice light weight non-cotton long sleeve that's great for up north. It just keeps getting better! Props to Marshall's on really taking a chance on Tulsa and Oklahoma by being a pioneer in our craft brewery experience. When it was still only tasting rooms and they couldn't sell things from the brewery, Marshall's was already making a name for itself locally and quickly growing outside the state. They have one of the most diverse beer lists of the local breweries, so it's easy to find something to please every palate. I love the new expanded tap room. This is an amazing space for events and meetups in addition to being a great spot to try new brews. I've loved watching the evolution of the brewery and I can't wait to see the next chapter. read more

What a fun spot to waste an afternoon with friends. The small tasting room reminds me of the old Santa Fe Brewing one and I love that the actual brewing facility is available for extra seating. (That part reminds me of the Coop facility.) There was only one employee when we got there around 2:00 on a Saturday. He was very helpful and friendly. There's a brewery tour at 3:30 and another employee showed up to give us a quick run-down on the process. (Tour took about 20 minutes if that.) It was great to try the brews that aren't available in liquor stores. Sample pours are available. Note that there's no food here but you can order through Uber food for delivery and there were some beer nuts on the wall for sale. Growlers and crawlers are available for purchase on some of the varieties as well as four packs of the most popular stuff. Other merch here is pretty cool as well. read more

I have only been once, and it would have been 5 star, except a large group of "customers" made it uncomfortable. The business either allowed them or didn't manage them. The night I was there, some sort of emotional support dog group was there. The whining, yelping, and barking in a space that echoes sound is simply not a relaxing or fun environment. Yeah, the beers were great, the service staff great, the restrooms nice, the tables clean... We just couldn't enjoy it. I understand the politics of saying something to the service dog group, it's a Catch-22 at best. Too bad the dogs came en masse, too bad Marshall didn't manage it. BTW, not supposed to touch or pet service animals, so the dogs were not for everyone's enjoyment- just the emo owners. If it were a free for all ,dog-lover event, maybe a different story. Christina and I (Rick the Sauce Guy) went to a traditional German Sausage & Beer pairing at the #1 most popular BBQ joint in Tulsa = Burn Co. BBQ, with a German-trained traditional brewery = Marshall Brewing. Marshall Brewing, the brewery host for our evening, served truly traditional German-style beers. Marshall uses primarily german hops, malt and yeast in all their beers. Their head brewer was classically trained in Germany, so he's partial to those flavors. To pair with Burn's 4 different german sausages (the stand-out was poached with 70% pork & 30% veal), Marshall served a Helles, Dunkel, Oktoberfest-Marzen, and North-German Pils. The result was clean, lightly carbonated, around 5% ABV, appropriate color, highly approachable and drinkable german beers (the stand-out to us was the Dunkel). Wes Alexander, Director at Marshall Brewing, seemed to be a BeerSauce man himself when he compared brewing to BBQing: "Brewing high-quality beer takes time. A lot of breweries rush the process to put out beer that's not ready. It's like grilling vs. BBQing. Brisket is done when its done." read more

Best Hefeweizen (Klaus) I've had since Germany! They know how to produce one of the finest. In addition to great beer, the Tap Room reminds me of a traditional Hofbräuhaus although a little more sterile. Could use improvement with aesthetics in my opinion. Clean, bright and open room for the main area with traditional bench and table seating along with a few old pews. Looking forward to trying more of the beers but the Klaus will be my favorite. read more

I loved their brewery tour - small location but very insightful information! I took a beer class at OSU Tulsa and the instructor was the Marketing Mgr for Marshall so we had a great inside look at Marshall Brewing and beer history as a whole. Our class was able to take a private tour as well as do a little beer tasting in their tap room. You can buy beer directly from there as well as get a growler - which are super cool, but they also have certain varieties that are not in the liquor stores. If you want the freshest beer brewed-on date, go straight to the brewery instead of buying it at your liquor store, as it may have been sitting on the shelf for a few weeks, then prior to that, a warehouse shelf... :) read more

We went early evening. The place was pretty busy for that time. We wanted to do the tours but the day had gotten away from us. My bf had an IPA. I had the Stout flight. I really liked 3 of the 4. Those odds are good! We will go back for the brewery tour and I will review that then. As far as the tap room it reminds me a little of Fassler Hall with large tables and pews lining one wall. The lights, the shelves, everything is unique. It's eclectic and comfortable. They also have a shelf of board games. Ooooooh, I LOVE that they turned the vault into a private room. Well, how can you not like fresh cold beer. They had a nice selection priced at the average Tulsa pricing schedule. The beer tenders are very friendly and since we had arrived before the crowds we were able to spend some time with them talking about the rules and the beers. The rules keep changing in oklahoma and now they can serve their full strength beer in the tasting room. They had some nice outdoor seating right next to the food truck. I just love the combination of rotating food trucks with rotating taps of beer. Marshall beer is very well made and I highly recommend the tasting room for a pint with friends. read more

Marshall Brewing Company does a justice for the (sort of) great city of Tulsa. In effect, it actually does a number for the state of Oklahoma, a state so stricken with ridiculous alcohol regulations as it is. To be sure, they are brewing beers with more than the regulated and silly 3.2% ABV. Less calories, more drunkenness. I recently had a casked version of their new Arrowhead pale ale. It was quite good. I enjoyed the milky body, as it provided just enough substance to say "I am drinking an actual beer." In effect, it was still just light enough to be a summer-esque beer, with its citrus notes and all. I liked the cloudy color. To balance it all out, the hoppiness offered that punch on the tastebuds needed. MBC is doing a great thing for the craft brew world, and I especially appreciate all their work in Oklahoma. I commend you for all that you do. May you continue in integrity and due diligence, Marshall. Don't ever give up, despite what the Bible Belt may tell you. read more

Tulsa's brewery scene is coming of age with the State finally deciding to update its liquor laws. Marshall's is probably one of the forefathers of the Tulsa beer scene. They may be out classed now, but they still provide a good standard. The new space is of a decent size. Unlike other breweries in town, they limit their flights by styles. However, prices are CHEAP. Honestly best deal in town if you just want to sit around and drink samplers of beer. They also have the largest variety of taps, not withstanding a place like Roosevelt's or McNellies. read more

First off I'm completely biased because Marshall's is the first Oklahoma beer that I tried and liked. Their El CuCuy is one of my favorites, but they're always coming out with new and insteresting brews. A couple of weeks ago I went to the brewery for a tour and tasting and had a good time. It's smaller than I was expecting, and the tour itself didn't take very long, but the founder and owner, Eric Marshall, was the one to give the tour and tell about the history of the brewery and how he got started in the business, which was very insteresting.
