I visited the Tulsa Hills Wine Cellar over the weekend to purchase the items needed to make a "Moscow Mule." The owner was very helpful in getting me lined up with the necessary items. Vodka, lime juice, ginger beer, copper mule mug, and jiggers. He was a wealth of knowledge on how to make them and even suggested different mixed drinks that I could make with the Ketel One Vodka. It is a huge store with every alcohol product you could possibly want. They even have a very large, enclosed cooler for just their beer. The service was top notch at this store, and the prices are very reasonable. If your thirsty for an adult beverage then this is the place for you. read more

Just noticed once I got home that Either this place is way overpriced or I got way overcharged. I just got home with 3 8 packs of high noon ($17.24) and a 12 pack of Leinenkugel ($19.99). Plus sales tax should've equaled approx. $80. I was charged $99.23. How do I get overcharged by almost $20?! Safe to say, I will not be back. Don't say I didn't warn you. Wine Cellar has kept it going strong over the years. Tulsa Hills has a lot more traffic these days, and the cooler looks great. Last time there, I was looking for my favorite Oktoberfest style this season (Coop). One of the clerks helped me look to no avail - as getting late in the season for Oktoberfests. I grabbed one of the other varieties. This young man RAN to catch me as i reached the checkout, having found one more 6 pack in the cooler. That is excellent customer service. They also have a terrific selection of bourbons, and of course wine. I appreciate the friendly service that THWC has offered all these years! read more

A little warmth goes a long way, immediatley upon entering I felt uncomfortable due to the young blonde woman perched behind the desk too preoccupied by her phone to notice that a couple customers entered the store. Her sneering face and eye roll did not inspire feelings of any acceptable customer service when we answered her half enthused "Hello" with "Hello how are you?" The wine selection also leaves something to be desired. When checking out the attitude continued when I asked what the Cellar club was about she quickly answered with "Nothing, it just tracks your purchases. It doesnt do anything" Im guessing that answer is more due to the fact that she would have to get off of her iphone and work then a companies reward program being worthless. I will not be returning to the store and I encourage everyone else to seek a different wine store. The ladies tonight were not knowledgeable, helpful or polite. read more

This is the closest liquor store to my house, and luckily, it's a great one! They always greet me when I walk in and they'll often check on you to see if you need any assistance in finding anything. They're also quite knowledgeable when it comes to all of their products, from wine to beer to spirits and even mixers. This place is unique in that they have an account you can create and you can see your purchases online, so if you find a wine you like, and then don't go in for awhile and you can't for the life of you recall what it was, bingo you can see it in a jiffy! You've just got to remember to tell them to add it on your account when you make your purchase. Wine Cellar has a great selection of Wine, (duh, in their name) but also a lot of craft beers to choose from and you can create your own 6 packs/4 packs. They've added a cigar store next door, only problem is you do have to walk outside to get to it, but they held my booze while I went to peruse, they had an assortment of treats and all kinds of little things over there and they have a separate register there as well. If you're on this side of town, you'd definitely benefit from a stop in this store even if a little out of the way, you might find something you've been looking for! read more

This new liquor store is one of the bigger ones in Tulsa that i have been in. Very clean, wooden racks. They have a great selection of beer and one of the bigger beer selections in Tulsa that i have seen as well. They have a shoppers clubs, and for signing up you get a reusable shopping back with dividers built in, great for keeping bottles upright. You also get a discount when you buy 6, i believe. The owner is very nice, if you don't see something you like, please mention it to her to see if she can get it in for you. read more

This is one of the most welcoming places I have ever been to. But, not in a 'selly sell sell sell' way - rather a 'I care that you make the right purchase' approach. I walked in recently and was pleasantly greeted. I said I was looking to jump into the whiskey cocktail making world and the nice man with the brown hair (sorry I forgot his name!) was extremely helpful and gave me recipes to everything from mixing root beer and ciders with hot whiskey. Don't let the name 'Wine Cellar' fool you to think they just have wine. Spirits and beers are of plenty here, too! Great selection of alcohol. At this point in time they have a ton of cute christmas gifts to chose from. And who doesnt like alcohol for christmas?? The employees are always very helpful. I have been to this liquor store multiple times. They have excepted my husband's Expired ID multiple times then today whenever I was super sick had symptoms of Covid running a fever would not let him buy anything I went in and the girl behind the counter told me I need to see your ID no offense but you're short. I stand at 4'9" and it is unacceptable for someone to discriminate against your height I am very upset and will not go back there again. I hope everybody that is a small stature reads this and will not buy anything from this wine cellar! read more

This place is probably the most expensive in Tulsa but they have the added benefit of being the only liquor store in Tulsa Hills so I go there every now and then for convenience but I no longer will after tonight. I got there at 8:49 and as I was about to walk in the guy locked the door and pointed at the sign which said closed at 8:50... keep in mind liquor stores are only allowed to stay open tell 9 in Ok which is ridiculous and early enough. It's a Friday night! He literally locked it as I was about to walk in. That's just bad business and I wasn't the only one walking up. When the law changes and a decent liquor store opens up in Tulsa hills they won't have any competition cause this place is a joke! Very bad beer selection and expensive wines. Sounds like people had issues in the past, but my experience is that these are completely resolved. Every employee has been a joy to interact with - knowledgeable and friendly. The wine selection is excellent. If they don't have it, they will order it. My experience shopping for alcoholic beverages was wonderful!! The shop is laid out nicely with large, easily read signs atop the wine racks which make shopping on your own easy. Someone greeted me when I came in and asked if they could help. I said I wanted some time to browse and to check with me. About 10 minutes later I was joined by Jeanie and Mark S. who were very helpful in 'filling up' my basket to the brim!!! Mark recommended numerous wines for me to try, including one in a 'box', and everyone of them are now on my list to have again. Jeanie also helped with this process as well as telling me that I can order any wine that they don't stock, which is a nice added touch. Mark S. also suggested some beers for me to try and they were winners as well. They also have a 'shoppers club' (no charge) whereby if you join you get your discount on 6 bottles. Great wine / liquor / beer destination ! This store has it all; - an excellent wine selection (my guess is well over 1000 different wines, maybe as much as 1500), - a great selection of spirits (including limited release bottles), - loads of beer (a good IPA selection !!), - and last but not least, knowledgeable staff; You don't get answers like"this is what is most popular" that does not mean a thing to me, I do not want to drink Bud light and Apothic or Cupcake wine, even though it is popular! - Prices are more than reasonable. It is a few miles from where I live (81/Yale), but I gladly pass some of the liquor stores on the way to Tulsa Hills (and yes, I have checked them all out, and none of them come even close on any of the above criteria....) ! read more

I am going to come out and say it here real quick and try to be as cordial as possible. You close the door in valued customers face ten minutes before the state law dictates then wave your hands at them through the glass like they have committed a crime then your inviting a confrontation. It's completely unheard of to close a liquor store that early and don't even have the common courtesy to post a sign up. Do you not realize how far people may have driven to get here. To me it's borderline cowardness and I don't really know any other way to put it. You have permanently lost my business and others as well. After years of spending a lot of money here and generally being frustrated with this place I decided to post a review on this store. This is a place that will hopefully be humbled with a loss of business after the 2018 liquor laws are implemented. The people that work here don't have a clue about craft beer and appear to be family or related. Noticed the employees spending time with customers purchasing high dollar wine, but very seldom are asked "may I help you" when deciding to purchase craft beer or get a hello when walking right by the register coming through the front door. While caring for my sick grandmother my family and I needed a pick me up. We found this wine cellar. It is a beautiful store. Very nice selection with cheap and more expensive bottles. The salesperson had a lot of knowledge of what I was looking for - I am very particular especially when it comes to wine. The only weird thing, the couldn't sell cork screw - but not their fault it is against the law for some reason. Good thing to know Bed Bath and Beyond is next door so just go get one from them. read more

I'm new to the state and popped in here to grab a bottle of nice wine for a dinner party I'm hosting this evening. I had my four year old and two year old with me (my husband is deployed and I had no choice) I grabbed two so my guests could have a choice. I was in there maybe two minutes when I walked up to the counter and was mortified by the woman behind the counter. She yelled that I could NOT have my children in there but they would take my money. Never in my adult life have I been so embarrassed. I now know that Oklahoma is very different from California but honestly the transaction between us could have been calmer and more mature. I stood outside until a judgmental but relatively nice man gave me my military ID, credit card and my purchase. I cried as soon as I made it to my car. Needless to say I will not be back. read more

The Wine Cellar has one of the best selections in Tulsa. I am personally more of a beer drinker, and their selection is great. They have everything from locally brewed beers to many domestic and foreign brews, some of which are hard to find in Tulsa. The staff is exceptionally nice and willing to help. I placed an order for a very limited release bourbon that I had been waiting to come out for years, after it showed up on their website. As there were no limitations in place and it showed in stock, I ordered 2 bottles for store pick up. I was contacted by the store staff the next day confirming that I knew that the order had to be picked up. I don't live in Tulsa, however given the limited nature of this bourbon I knew it would be impossible to find local to me so I asked a friend to pick up my order. I arranged this with the store staff over the phone, and the staff member told me I had up to a week for my friend to pick up the order. I gave my friend the money and the online confirmation. The next day while I was sleeping the store left a message on my voicemail stating that they had changed their mind and they were no longer willing to hold both bottles for me, so they sold one and were holding only one of the bottles I ordered. When I woke up and got the message I contacted the store immediately to tell them that my friend was on the way to the store to pick up my order. When my friend, who was a regular customer of this store, arrived to pick up the one bottle out of 2 that I ordered, he asked them what had happened and why they hadn't stuck to their word regarding holding my order. The staff then refused to allow him to pick up my order and returned my bottle to circulation. I have never dealt with such a lack of customer service or even honesty at any wine/liquor store in my life. They will never get my business, they've lost my friend's business, and I hope in reading this now you too will think twice before spending any of your money here. read more

My husband and I always stop by this liquor store, its very clean, friendly staff.........or so we thought, until tonight when we walked into the store and were immediately told that we only had 30 seconds to shop. No greeting at all, just a lady with short brown hair yelling across the store to all the customers saying they better check out now. We have never been treated like this ever at any shopping location, we were shocked!! They lost a lot of money tonight because we were going to buy several drinks for a party, I am also sure the other customers would have purchased more if they did not receive terrible customer service.
