So, I go in here often...and the men that work there are extremely nice and friendly, but today my fiance and I went in to get some things (I was buying) because he didn't have any of his things with him, mind you we have been in here MULTIPLE times. Seeing as though he didn't have his wallet or anything with him, I told him I would just run in and get the stuff, but then got to thinking that we were buying a party pack of Smirnoff and a 12 back of beer. BOTH BOXES WERE GLASS BOTTLES, and I am very accident prone so he decided to come in just to help me carry them out, but like I said, I was the one paying. When we got up to the register the woman asked for ID's and I handed mine over and my fiance said he didn't have his wallet with him. Now, we are both 21 and 22 so we are used to getting IDed all the time, we look young. I get it. I also understand that if he can't produce and ID when asked, he has to leave the store. We knew that when he took the risk going in there to help me carry the boxes. BUT, the woman VERY rudely said, "You have to leave the store." pointed her rude little arm at the door like he didn't know where it was and gave a stank face. There were other customers in the building and it was actually a bit embarrassing. THEN when that happened I asked her if I could carry the boxes out one at a time (like I said, I am accident prone and I just spent $30 on two 12 packs and I didn't want to run the risk of tripping on the way out to the car and breaking them) and she just said, "here. I'll stack them for you." Again, she said this VERY rudely. Stacked the boxes and I had to carry them out like that. This woman had short, dark hair. I didn't catch her name, but she pretty much turned me off from ever going there again. Such a shame, the men that work there are so nice, but i'll find another liquor store even if I have to drive a little farther to avoid this one. I thought about calling and complaining but I'm sure that wouldn't do any good. The woman was unnecessarily rude, my fiance would have gladly left quietly and there was no reason to be rude to him like that, and then me right after. I've never been embarrassed like that by an employee at any place, I would have never acted like that if I worked there. It's very unprofessional. read more
