This is a quaint, small and cute wine shop. I love the feel of the place. It makes me think like I'm in someone's expensive wine cellar. Know that there are EXPENSIVE wines here but there are also really good reasonable ones too. We walked out with two $20 bottles that I was really happy to find. We've been in before to buy more expensive wine for gifts and the help has always been fabulous. I went in especially to place an order for some wines I like. I never heard from anyone. So I stopped in to follow up today, April 18th. The lady on the back was finally bothered enough to co e out. I asked her about the order and she asked "What?"" So I repeated myself. She checked her logs and had no record of the order. She asked who I'd place the order with. I described the person. She acted confused and asked "What?" After some time she remembered the other lady I had described. Eventually I left. We stopped in here by chance because we needed Tito's to make some birthday bloody Mary's and martinis. Both people working were very helpful. My husband was browsing the whiskey and didn't really want anything but it made me remember the new blackberry crown. They had some in the back that he brought out and I can't wait to try it. Nestled in Utica Square by Williams Sonoma, you'll find this secret garden of wine, beer, champagne, and liquor. Lush vines and greenery surrounds the entrance and walking in feels like your are stepping into a European adventure. I could go on and on about the atmosphere but you really just need to go and be surprised with every detail. The walls and racks are lined with everything your palette could ask for. There is also a strong presence of local options which I love. My go-to's are the EcoVino bagged wine along with one new beer I would like to try. Only a 4 star cuz you can't have the selection of a place as large as Parkhill's. Across from Petty's in Utica Square, makes it so awesomely convenient for some of us! Even if you're not running to Petty's cuz you forgot something, it's "in the hood" convenient. Still, a nice selection & Chad, the owner's pretty willing to order you what you want. It is so conveniently set up. Yes, as another reviewer stated, there's beer all around to the left when you walk in. And for a "conservative" ( interpret as kinda cheap) wine drinker like myself, you need not walk far. Right as you walk in, parallel to the register, there's a double row of wines all under $20, right Chad? Reds to the north, whites to the south. And they're good wines! Chad's usually there and he's a font of information, him being a non-drinker. And don't confuse this business up with the wine store previously in this spot, Chad has explained. There are quite a few people on staff here, yet they're all knowledgeable & friendly. It is small, so there are times it can get quite busy. i. e. crowded. But not often. Business **is** steady, so hang on a minute if you need attention. It's an entertaining location if you're there often. Old ladies keep trying to make Williams Sonama a drive-thru, literally. The other day a chicken decided to torment the establishment by hanging out front all day. I was privileged to see a video of it & various attempts to capture it! How odd. I could have sworn I reviewed Grand Vin years ago. Well, no time like the present to rectify that situation! Grand Vin is a small shop with emphasis on vino - my kind of place! They manage to pack a pretty decent selection into a small space; you can get a super expensive French Bordeaux or a $10 bottle of a decent California white - whatever you're in the mood for. They also stock black box and bota box. It's a bit pricier than the larger liquor stores, but you can't beat the convenience of getting in and out while doing errands at Utica Square. It was a perfect companion to the Petty's specialty grocery across the way - which is now unfortunately closing. It was great to pick up a great dinner and a great wine without leaving sight of your car. I digress - Grand Vin also carries a selection of beers and spirits if that's your preference. The staff are generally knowledgeable and helpful - there is definitely a more personal feel to shopping there. And you can still step into the Williams Sonoma a few doors down and pick up something awesome to accompany your beverage. read more

Nice little place with friendly employees. Since they are in Utica Sqare. I thought they would be all $100 bottles of wine, but they have Beringers and Barefoot, which is usually what I get. I noticed the entry area is all beer, so they have that too. Employees are always nice, have helped when I needed recommendations for cooking. read more
