A few weeks ago, Dan and I parked by Ranch Acres Wine and Spirits when we went to a happy hour in that shopping strip. When we returned, we noticed they were having a party on the street. We talked to the owner and learned this tasting party is something they do for their customers from time to time. I took a picture and told her I like to Yelp. I also asked if they did Yelp events because that seemed much like a yelp event. She said she didn't think that help her. I was disappointed because I love to attend Yelp events, but we will check out the business and if we like it, maybe we will become regular customers and get invited to a tasting. I have to admit that I don't usually check yelp reviews before going to a liquor store like I do for restaurants. What businesses might not realize is that Yelp elites follow each other and read each other's reviews. When there's an event, maybe only a handful of yelpers might show up, but we have to write reviews. Other Yelp elites know about the event and read their friends' reviews to support them. They probably get coverage they don't know about. I haven't shopped at Ranch Acres yet, so the 4 stars is just based on what I saw of the tasting. When the ice melts, I will shop there and update the review. I hope this place is as good as it appears. read more

Great wine selection! I was on a mission for any 2 bottles from a list of 5 bottles of wine. I stopped by two other liquor stores before stopping at Ranch Acres, and neither had a single one of the wines I was searching for. Luckily, Ranch Acres had 2 with plenty more in stock. They may have had the other 3 as well, but my search was over, and I was over it. The only downside, both of the previous liquor stores were really on the ball with the custom service. I was left completely alone to do my shopping at Ranch Acres. No one offered to assist me in my search. But that's okay, because the isles are well labeled, and I found my 2/5 bottles quickly, and all was right with the world. read more

Friendly family run business in the heart of Midtown. Every time I am here the staff help me to find a great new wine to try. 31st and Harvard, back side of Ranch Acres strip center. Large store with good selection and friendly staff. Clean, well lit and safe feeling during day. Parking lot not well lit at night. I cook with different liquors and they always know what to recommend when I need dry white wine, coffee liquor, saki, dark ale etc. Moderate price without going to the mega size liquor stores. They supported the zoo fund raiser. read more

Their locally brewed options are ace - I never leave without some kind of COOP beer. One of the best places to get craft beer in Tulsa. They have a spectacular selection of big name breweries like Prairie, Odell, Great Divide, Founders, and much more. If beer isn't your thing, they've got a huge of wine and spirits. They even have one of those immediate coolers for your purchases! The staff is incredibly friendly and helpful too. read more

I wish they had a separate listing for their Half Acre next door. I attended the winter beer tasting and as you can see from the picture, it was well attended and a lot of fun. I want to thank Ranch Acres and especially Emily for organizing such a great opportunity to meet the new movers and shakers in the Tulsa beer scene and creating such a brilliant venue for tasting with your friends. The Winter Beer Tasting included at least 50 beers, ciders, and barley wines which even though they were able to be kept cold by the chilly weather, they seemed to bring warmth to the crowd. As usual, the Ranch Acres staff provide the additional knowledge to navigate through their selections at confidently the best prices in town. And in case someone needed something to soak up the malted beverages, there were plenty of specialty sausage dogs to warm the belly. My only regret was that I was not able to stay late enough to help clear the parking lot. Many thanks to Emily and all of the RA staff for a great evening. I now have many new beers to explore the next time I am there. read more

During these trying times, I especially appreciate those businesses who are taking this seriously. Ranch Acres continues to be my go-to spot for wine/beer/liquor purchases. Plenty of parking. CDC precautions being followed. All staff wearing masks and requiring customers to do the same. If this weren't enough, there is usually Truman to greet you at the door. i went to their "meet the maker" series & met the people who run prairie wolf spirits. i tried their vodka, gin & coffee liquor along with another that's not on the market yet. i liked the presentation & the people who were also in attendance. the employees were full of energy & were welcoming. i've visited once before with yelp. i checked out the actual store & they have A LOT to choose from. from all of the liquor stores i've been to, i'd say this one might have the biggest selection. read more

This is a great liquor store ... if they don't have what you're looking for they do what they can to get it in. It has a great selection of price points, i.e. there are good wines at all levels. The staff is very knowledgable and helpful and they don't make you feel like an idiot for asking questions (which seems to happen at a lot of liquor stores). read more

I went champagne tasting here a few hours ago and loved every minute of it. The atmosphere was relaxing and it was a great way to unwind after a long day at work. Also, it didn't hurt to be educated on how champagne is made as well how blends are made. I can't wait till the next wine tasting. PS: Truman is a national treasure. read more

This is a great liquor store, which if you know me at all you know that means they have a GREAT wine selection. It's also moderately cheap, which is nice in a world where people really inflate the retail value of wine. Two of the wines I wanted last time I went were actually sold out, a testament to the patrons of Ranch Acres having great taste (but irritating nonetheless). However the guy recommended something new to me that was comparable to what I was looking for and I loved it. He really knew what he was talking about. They will also order wine for you if you are a frequent customer, which is a service that not all business extend. Friendly, knowledgeable staff and a well-organized floor plan also help make this one of my favorite liquor stores in town. read more

Large, clean, friendly and liquor! This liquor store has a great parking lot making getting in and out a breeze. Small point but worth mentioning, lots of midtown places can be hard to reach on crowded days. I am always impressed by the jumbo sized area devoted to wine. Can keep a wino like myself very occupied. Lots of Liquors on the back shelf, easy to find everything because of the layout. Decent spread of beers but not as good as Midtown in my opinion. Still hard to beat however. The best place for wine selection on the easy east side of Harvard, great liquor and beer selection too! read more

Within the ridiculous legal limitations of liquor stores in Oklahoma, this is my favorite one. The selection is good, the staff is knowledgeable and there's a great old dog that just hangs out in there. Again, the insane laws we have here in Oklahoma prevent anyone from doing something really cool at a liquor store, but they do a great job at Ranch Acres with what they got. But seriously, who's the genius that said you can't sell mixers at a liquor store? What does that accomplish exactly? "Not being able to buy gin AND tonic at the same place was a real turning point for me in my battle against alcohol addiction" said no one, ever. Ranch Acres is a great liquor store though. This is my go to spot in midtown Tulsa for my adult beverage needs. The staff is top notch and so much more knowledgable then other stores around. The layout of the store makes shopping a breeze. They go the extra mile to make sure you find what you need and if they're out of the product or don't carry it they make sure to find something just like what you came in looking for. These folks are doing everything right -- keeping customers safe during the covid pandemic with masks, gloves, and curbside service. They were kind enough to carry the liquor out and put it in my trunk so that staff and costumers stayed safe. It was fast and easy. They are awesome! read more
