The Marron Cafe and the vinyards are worth a visit if you are looking for something to do in the middle of KI.
We found the food a tad expensive ($95 for two people), we had the lime marron - basically marron sliced lengthwise and doused in butter with a side salad (with lime dressing) and a scoop of rice. To accompany the freshwater crustacean we had - as recommended - the Sauvignon Blanc produced in the same premises as the marron are farmed. The wine was ok but sub-par compared to the mainland cousins.
In all, it is a pretty place, the cafe overlooks a series of rolling hills, but the food is not that spectacular, and for that price, there are plenty of better options in KI. read more
