We found the food a tad expensive ($95 for two people), we had the lime marron - basically marron sliced lengthwise and doused in butter with a side salad (with lime dressing) and a scoop of rice. To accompany the freshwater crustacean we had - as recommended - the Sauvignon Blanc produced in the same premises as the marron are farmed. The wine was ok but sub-par compared to the mainland cousins. In all, it is a pretty place, the cafe overlooks a series of rolling hills, but the food is not that spectacular, and for that price, there are plenty of better options in KI.

All but one of their wines is locally made and pretty bloody exceptional. The boyfriend and I decided to pop down for lunch on a rainy day and ended up spending the entire afternoon laughing with other patrons and the managers themselves. Definitely the most amazing wining/dining experience I've had to date. A MUST-GO if you're ever on the island. :)

It's outdoors but if the weather gets too awful, they can do it inside in a smaller area. It's best outdoors to see the birds in flight. The handlers are very knowledgeable about the birds and the birds had many opportunities to show us their natural behaviors. What was so cool is that they had so many opportunities for the audience to interact directly with the birds. Whether it was holding them. Gently petting them. Having them stand on your lap. Getting a super close pic. I loved how close we got to them and how much we learned about them. We bought one extra experience ticket for me to hold an owl. After the show, anyone with these tickets got to hold their birds (an eagle was the other option). It was a great personal experience.
