    Chicken Parmesan
    Danielle L.

Cute place in Belmont. Came on a Friday with reservations. Restaurants was quite loud and the service was average. The food took over 45 mins to come out. It was a very busy night at the restaurant, so would try again on a weeknight perhaps. Bread we started with was very good. Then solid Caesar salads. We ordered the chicken Parmesan, chicken piccata and chicken Marsala. Chicken Marsala was the best of the three, had a good, balanced flavor. Parmesan was below average, it was not warm and the red sauce was very basic and had no flavor. Chicken Piccata was ok, we had to ask for more sauce as there was basically no sauce on the chicken. After we added the additional sauce it was better. I would maybe come back and try other items, but wouldn't go out of my way.

Our first time trying Marrelli's after rave reviews and it did not disappoint. My husband and I came for an impromptu date night on Wednesday since it was such a nice day, and they luckily had beautiful outdoor seating. We will definitely be coming back!

I discovered this place and can't stop coming back! The focaccia bread tastes wonderful and the fried calamari is top notch. I really enjoy the penne vodka dish and each dessert always tastes amazing for the end of the meal :) Staff is pleasant and the decor and atmosphere ties it all together!

    Pappardelle with mushrooms and sausage

Tried this place while visiting our daughter. I had high hopes but overall I was disappointed. Positives: our server, saucier (spelling?) was great. My caprese was lacking, not the juiciest tomatoes and not enough mozzarella. The meatballs were just ok and my entree of spaghetti carbonara was bland bland bland! The guancale didn't even add flavor. My husband liked his pappardelle with mushrooms and our daughter loved her gluten free own a with vodka sauce and grilled chicken. Our desserts were excellent. We probably won't visit again when we are in the area.

Food was excellent. We ordered the mussels as our appetizer, the sauce was subtly spicy & delicious!! My husband ordered the linguine Mare and said it was excellent. I ordered the gnocchi, unfortunately it was super moushy. The restaurant is very nice, but a little bright, dimmer lighting would be nice! Our sever must have been new, so service unfortunately was not what we expected. We will come back again though.

    Fettuccine Alfredo with Chicken

I was excited to check out this new Italian restaurant while visiting my friend who lives in Belmont. We had reservations for four and were promptly seated upon arrival. Fresh bread immediately arrives as well as filtered water. Our Server, Liz D was prompt and took excellent care of us - not overbearing but always there if we needed anything at all. I started of with a Lemon Drop Martini - Not one of their speciality drinks, but they were quick to make one for me. Next time I would choose one of their speciality drinks menu. They also have a nice wine and beer selection. For my meal I chose the Fettuccine Alfredo and added chicken. It was nothing short of delicious - nice rich flavor and a large portion that I was unable to completely finish. I finished off with an amazing Creme Brûlée. I believe without a doubt it was the best ever. Nice ambience, an amazing staff and delicious food. Give it a try, I don't believe you'll walk away disappointed.

    $12.00 Rapini

I tried, I really did. Lackluster, underwhelming, and butter; is the title of this review, Lackluster service, just don't care attitude. No alternatives, suggestions, or even comments. A robot server would have had more personality and attention. The food... underwhelming. The salmon was dealing in butter, the 4 capers did not add the salt content that I think the chef expected. Spend more on capers so the chef can use, say...10? Butter and lemon soaked an overcooked sliver of Salmon for $24.00. Not worth it. The side of Rapini ( broccoli rabe) the size of a tea cup saucer for $12, was overpriced for dish. And by the way, don't add Parmesan to rapini, what's wrong with you?!?! Stunad! This NY Italian was not impressed at all.

We went here recently while in town. Everything was fantastic! We were seated in the bar area and our server Savanna was attentive. Friendly, and efficient. The cocktails were creative and delicious. Our appetizers and entrees were also very good. I highly recommend dining here when in the area!

We were excited to check out this new Italian restaurant in downtown Belmont and we were not disappointed! The entrance is welcoming, with black and white striped umbrellas lining the walkway. The atmosphere was relaxing with candles lit throughout, Italian artwork and music softly playing in the background. Now, on to the food! We started with a Caprese salad, with Barrata cheese and it was delicious. The tomatoes were plum and fresh and it was dressed with balsamic and olive oil. We ordered the strip steak (medium) with a Gorgonzola sauce, served with scalloped type potatoes. The steak was cooked to perfection. We also ordered the Pappardelle with mushrooms sauce and truffle oil. It was full of flavor, lots of porcini mushrooms and perfectly cooked pasta. We ordered a Super Tuscan bottle of wine that paired nicely with everything. Overall this was a wonderful meal "out on the town" and we can't wait to go back!

What a nice addition to downtown Belmont. It is authentic Italian which is hard to find in Charlotte. Get the caprese to start, yum!

It said online it could take a couple days to get approved , but we had no problems just bringing him and his vaccinations. Since it was not the best weather wise, it was only us and one other group there, but a friend said it does get crowded but never too crowded! They had a ton of picnic tables outside and beach volleyball courts. They have 2 sections outside, one is off leash and one is on leash. Inside is also on leash, so some options there! The bar is accessible no matter what section you are in, and they had a full bar. There were also some TVs inside with sports on. The facility seemed SO clean for a dog bar, I was impressed by that. The bartenders were also SO nice asking about our dog and his breed and making sure we had everything we needed. The facility seemed secure with lots of doors and magnetic locks so no dogs could escape. They did have brunch and it was delicious!!! I got the avacado toast. The egg was a tad salty but still very good! I would definitely go back!

One downside was learning that pets are not allowed inside--even though they don't serve food--which is always a bit of a letdown for us. That said, Luna was welcome on the outdoor patio... unfortunately, it was about 20 degrees outside. We didn't let the cold ruin the experience, though. They have patio heaters and warm drinks available, which helped a lot. We grabbed comfy outdoor chairs right next to the Christmas tree, and the setting was really nice, especially with the water view just steps away. It never got overly busy, but there was a steady flow of people coming and going, which gave it a relaxed, lively feel without being crowded. We both ordered the Hardywood Gingerbread Stout (9.2% ABV), which was their only holiday beer available at the time--they mentioned they had another seasonal option but had already sold out. The beer was pretty good, though definitely strong. We actually left to check out the only other bar in town, but it turned out to be closed, so we circled back to The River Room for another round. Two gingerbread stouts came out to $14 total which felt very reasonable. They do charge a small membership fee (around $1) since it's a private club, and we were told that fee goes toward animal conservation, which is a nice bonus. Overall, despite the cold and the indoor pet restriction, we really enjoyed the ambiance, holiday decor, and relaxed vibe--and would definitely stop back again when the weather is warmer.

We had a reservation for Blue Door for Saturday night, and it was amazing. Now while she was vaguely aware of their "spirited kingdom" menu, I had NO CLUE. It was the best surprise! They have such a cool menu with a full theme park map containing 4 lands with 4 cocktails each. The cocktails all match the type of ride they are, it's honestly such a cool idea, and it was so well done. I loved the art. I will say, I was skeptical that all of their drinks would actually work and worried that they'd be too caught up in the theme to make results but . . . Oh my goodness I was so impressed by the drinks here. I think a lot of bars these days can get so caught up in trying to be unique that their drinks become nearly undrinkable. This place definitely doesn't suffer there. They brought us an aperitif when we came in, but unfortunately I have a blueberry allergy so we skipped that. We had 4 drinks between the 2 of us and they were all awesome. I ordered the star breaker and the green dragon (what can I say, I love gin and a good coaster), and they were both balanced and tasty. My friend got the diablo and the neon shift, and they were both fantastic as well! The neon shift was served with a black light too which was super cute. The one drink I have to call out specifically is the green dragon. There was something about this drink that was so unique, I have genuinely never had anything like it but I would order it a thousand times over. It's so good. It keeps me up at night. It haunts my every bar order. I will be writing home about it. What else can I say about this place - the service was great, the atmosphere was fun, and the DJ was amazing. I thought "wow this guy really likes sax covers" only to look over and see him PLAYING HIS SAXOPHONE LIVE?? Iconic. This place was perfect and I wouldn't change a thing about it. The spirited kingdom menu will only be around for 6 months according to the waitress, so definitely catch it while it's there! If I'd heard about it sooner, I would've maybe descended upon them with 200+ theme park engineers in town for the conference (maybe it's a good thing I didn't know they were there until after it was over), but instead I will just say DO YOURSELF A FAVOR AND MAKE YOUR RESERVATION NOW
