It's a very cute and cozy Middle Eastern and Mediterranean restaurant and one of the perks here is being connected yo Narenj Café that you can order desserts from or enjoy weekend brunch in. The service can be rather slow at times, even when the restaurant is not that busy. We ordered Hummus for appetizer that was fresh and delicious. For our mains, we ordered "Here Comes the Bride" and "Maro's Special" and enjoyed both.

Really amazing middle eastern food and is my favourite in the GTA. Everything is 10/10 here and portions are each plate is big enough to share in a group. Highly recommend the "here comes the bride" dish and their coffee items. The decor is beautiful and service was top notch as well.

I am happy to say, my favourite restaurant in Oakville is back to top in my list. My last 2 experience- patio in summers & winter today were amazing. The service which was my biggest disappointment is now the opposite of earlier. The servers are now humble, welcoming and hospitable! Jill was very good to deal with. The food was never an issue and today it was no different. Delicious, aromatic and the best Lebanese in town. Maro's uncle made sure to accommodate any requests, in fact his recommendations with a personal touch saved us some bucks. He also gave complimentary rice for our girl. So kind. I am happy to right the review with a 5/5 ratings

Was recommended by a good friend of mine to must try this place for authentic middle eastern food! I must say this was by far the most authentic as it gets in the city of Toronto. The vibes were amazing just great atmosphere Food is absolutely fantastic.. I was absolutely impressed and blown away by the chicken shawarma was tender and the spices wow 5++++++/5 Service: We were served by the one and only Maro the owner of the resto we felt very special and very nice welcome! The resto strives very much to make sure everyone and everything is up to par! My drink 5++++ I had the sparkling rosé sangria deelish My mom had her turkish coffee she was super happy ! She was even impressed by the spice of cardamom in her coffee.. she loved that little detail. The babaghanoush: very deelish and Hummus : 5/5 very deelish The pastries 5++++/5 especially the pistachios in the desert wooow Overall, I would loveee to whole heartedly recommend this place 1000% Definitely worth every penny!! We've never been to this end of Oakville. This casual family setting restaurant is slightly off the main street. We came just an hour before it closed. You would think they will be rushing you off. Nope!! The server was so nice in every way. He asked if we've ever been here, then make sure we understand the portion is relatively big and gave us (this mid age couple) as much time as we need to read the menu and even offer us to visit the online menu as well. We only ordered one plate, but it was plenty for 2. The roasted cauliflower was so nicely cooked-soft inside, roasted on the outside and topped with herbs with sauce. It made a bland veggie extra special. The dip around it was exceptional. There is the usual hummus which is always our favourite, the red pepper one is drizzle with honey and gave it a very nice sweet taste. One of the more interesting dip was the eggplant one, it was charred. All in all love it love it love it.

Came here on Saturday lunch and there was a bit of a wait. It was totally worth the wait, the food was amazing ! Fish is perfectly fried, it coated in spices so not heavy in batter. The hummus and baba ganoush is a must.

If you love food and you love to try new things this is an amazing place to visit. We had a great time sharing the ample dishes amongst the family. The shareable plates brought a variety of flavors that were all delicious. Cool vibe with great service.

"Sweet baby Jesus, damn, that was f***cking good!" I thought to myself as I walked out the door. So I knew I'd have to write a review. I recall the waitress warning of the big portions. Indeed, as I near my rental with a to-go box in hand. This will make a nice breakfast. A nice break from the bologna sandwiches which had been my diet for since I arrived. Hope to have a chance to visit at Maro's again when I return. 5 stars for the food. And 5 stars for my amazing waitress.

THE BEST food I've eaten in a really long time. we had 4 of us from over the GTA meet up here (Brampton, Oakville, Caledon and Toronto) to enjoy a ladies brunch. Needless to say we were all over the moon with the food we had. We decided to try different dishes (pictures below) because we all had a different taste of what we wanted and delightfully appreciated everything that was served to us. the one memorable piece I have to add is that our server was so accommodation to our restrictions and even helped settle in a baby so she could be moved easily between us in her stroller.

Just wonderful. I love the food, service and atmosphere. Food is just packed with seasoning and spice. It's super healthy and fresh. The portion is very generous with the given price. Service is top notch. The waitress explains the dish well and set our expectations for the amount of foood we orders. You can always take some home. Ambiance is cozy. Not too loud and everyone seems to be local here for a dinner.

Excellent food and service. A little on the expensive side, but what can we expect from a restaurant right on Lakeshore.

Also anyone pulling into the parking lot is sure to blind you with their headlights so maybe best to pick a seat away from the windows. We ordered the Adonis entrée, the Chicken Shawarma entrée, Lamb Souvlaki entrée, a Shish Kafta entrée and a few Lentil soups. All of the entrees came with the same Rice, Potatoes and Greek Salad. The Lamb was cooked well, and for $30+ it better be. Chicken Souvlaki was drenched in sauce so of course it tasted good. The Kafta was AWFUL. So dry and bland. Every bite was making my mouth dry. What a bummer. The Lentil soup was ok but I feel like it didn't taste as authentic as other places I have been. It could have used more spices. The potatoes that came with the meals were just ok. They didn't taste good or bad. However the rice that came with the meals was bland and tasteless. No saffron or anything. Literally around the corner from this place is a restaurant called Sidra and it serves waaaaaaay better Shawarma, Lentil Soup, Kafta (tikka), and their meals come with amazingly flavorful rice and garlic potatoes. With such a better place nearby I don't know why you would come here instead.

Adonis is by far my favorite Mediterranean restaurant in town; much better than Monfort and Agabi in my opinion. Usually I come here for one thing, and one thing only; the Adonis Schwarma on a pita. It is quite similar to the Monfort Chicken on a Pita served at Monfort, but with one brilliant addition - BACON. You get seasoned chicken breast, pineapple, garlic sauce, your choice of a wholewheat or white pita, and the option to have it prepared spicy, plus BACON. Delicious! Additionally, the portion size is larger than at Monfort's, and I prefer the taste of the garlic sauce at Adonis. The service at Adonis is super friendly. You can tell that it is family owned and operated as it is the same staff working whenever I visit. You also know it is good service if every time you leave walking away thinking that the waitress is flirting with you. Me and my friends all feel this way, which is a good way to leave a restaurant. If anything, it does take a while to prepare your order, so I usually call ahead and take it to go. Overall, I highly recommend Adonis. It loses one star for the wait times, but it is certainly one of Oakville's best hidden jewels!

For a large table, that's frustrating. Nevertheless, with a bit of a wait, we got that sorted though it seemed to upset other hostile customers. The space is quite large and can accommodate groups if and when the area is not crowded. The problem is they don't cap the restaurant when it's at capacity. Decor is lovely, showcasing Arab traditions, which is a nice touch. Sometimes you get really good service, other times it needs work. Buffets require topping up, especially when expecting large crowds. It's not okay to keep accepting customers and then run out of food and have nothing to offer them. I've seen this happen and I felt discomfort for all parties; the patrons who came and left with hungry bellies and the staff who were embarrassed by this outcome. On two occassions I remember really well, the lineup was extraordinarily long and people were behaving in unusual ways; fighting over lineups, butting in, piling their plates high and leaving a lot untouched or not eaten and wasting food, not accounting for others and acting like it was their last meal. It was a literal zoo. By the time we made it to the chafing dishes, many were out. We tried some foods and found that some lacked flavour and taste and were missing the ingredients needed for the dish. Fettuccine was one of them. Food was average. A small number of dishes stood out. Freekeh was pretty good. I liked the butter chicken, though others did not. One person from our table liked the kusa and mansaf meat. I also enjoyed the mansaf but didn't manage to get any meat. We liked the hummus and mutabbal. I enjoyed the fatteh, it was a bit different from how my mama makes it. There was no dessert, coffee or tea offered. Shisha could only be had outside on the patio and during very specific times. Even if you wanted that, the space was too tight and would knock it over and likely cause a fire. Then a stampede would break out and good luck not getting trampled on..

I did remember it being good and portions being generous. Last night we visited the Oakville location. When the food came, to my surprise, there were 2 plates, each with our one meal portioned out! I was so surprised. I didn't even ask them to do this. As you can see from the picture, they were basically 2 full meals almost. I couldn't even finish mine! I took some home. My bf cleaned his plate but he was defs not still hungry. He also mentioned how he really liked it ( he's Greek) and it felt healthy. I agreed. I loved the rice and tzatziki. The potatoes were such a generous serving and it was the perfect amount of salad. The pork was the slightest bit a tad dry but I'm not complaining at all. It's my one little critique. When the bill came, there was a $3 charge for a "split meal". However, we weren't bothered by this because we both ate and were satisfied for $30. It's rare to find that anywhere these days at a sit down resto. We are for sure coming back.

This was definitely a great start to the meal, as both components were delicious. I especially loved that sweet, tangy sauce, and I made a point of holding onto some of it for my fries. (I needn't have done that since the fries also came with said sauce.) Those fries are very tasty, too. They're obviously straight out of a bag, but they've been sprinkled with this really tasty seasoning that elevates them considerably. As for the wrap, it's good. The ingredients work well together and the plentiful lamb is tender and tasty. My only issue was this underlying bitterness that was kind of a distraction all the way through.
