I called on a Saturday afternoon for a Tuesday morning ride, and they were able to accommodate us. Since it was the slow season and a weekday, availability was better. However, weekends tend to book up quickly, even during the off-season, so I recommend calling several days in advance. You won't receive an email confirmation, so be sure to make note of your reservation time. If you forget, you can always call and confirm it they are very friendly and happy to help. We chose the one hour ride, which was perfect for a first time rider like me. While it would have been nice to ride through the aspen grove, we're saving that for our next visit. The scenery was absolutely beautiful, and the views were amazing. My 11 year old daughter, who has a little riding experience, also had a fantastic time. Our guide was supportive, informative, and engaging. She shared interesting information about the local wildflowers, mountain peaks, and the surrounding area, which made the ride even more enjoyable. Helmets are available on site and are optional. One tip: be sure to wear plenty of sunscreen and bring a cap or hat. There is limited shade on the trail, and the sun can be quite strong, especially at higher elevations. Overall, it was a very fun experience, and we're already looking forward to returning to try the one and half hour tour next time.

We saw wild flowers, two lakes, avalanche destruction, water falls, the famous Crystal Mill, and so much more. Our favorite part for our two teenage boys was standing up in the jeep and taking it all in. My 74 year old mother also stood up for a little bit! So this experience is for all adventure lovers. He explained how to use them, and gave us suggestions on some trails we could explore. We ended up going to the Maroon Bells which is a beautiful and very scenic trail. We also rode a bit of the popular Rio Grande Trail - but it does tend to get crowded. I, unfortunately fell and consequently was a bit late in returning the bike, but Michael was extremely kind and considerate of my situation. (Thank you Michael). The bikes worked wonderfully and Aspen is an amazingly beautiful place to go explore - especially on an ebike. Highly recommend this place, and it is very close to the bus RFTA.

Came in here on a busy Saturday in the middle of summer needing a little help with wifey's bike…read more Someone (me) had done some amateur adjusting and repairing to her ride and it it needed to be fixed. We really couldn't have gone on riding without it getting fixed, and the owner was, thankfully, able to jump right on it, throw in a spacer on the steering tube and send us on our way. He was slammed between rentals and all kinds of other stuff and could have easily turned us away, but he didn't. Thank you very much for your help, we will be back next time we are in town!

It is part of the national parks system and you can reserve spots and get all that extra good details like mountain heights and all that cool geeky stuff here: http://www.recreation.gov/camping/white-star/r/campgroundDetails.do?contractCode=NRSO&parkId=70791 I decided to chance it without a reservation with hopes to still be able to grab a spot or at least sleep in my truck up in the mountains. There are a lot of camping spots, but it can get busy even in late summer and weekdays. I don't think all the spots on the Sage Loop are on the online reservation system. This place has 3 "walk-up" sites. Only #36 has a real walk to the spot. 37, and 38 are just over a small Ridge where you park. These 2 have gorgeous views! I stayed at 37 and 38 is just a little higher. All the spots have a ground pit or a stand up grill with a grate. I saw some grills even had a flat griddle on it. Drinking water is on the lower loop where most rv people stay. I think some of those areas have electric hookups, but not sure. Restrooms are septic tank hard building "vault toilets", with no running water. Bring wipes as the toilet paper is not great. Baby wipes are a vital must in any proper camping list! $19-$20 for camping spots. About $6 for day use. It's a self pay envelope system. That being said, the host does not check on people until after 9am, usually more around noon. Important for those on the road not looking to leave a mark and don't want to spend much or can't spend anything. I understand how camping and traveling goes and sometimes you arrive late and leave early without any fuss to anyone. I will also note that even if all the spots are taken on the top loop, or lower loop, you can still pitch a tent in the top loop in the center or by the #36 walk up area. Pack up early and you won't get a slap on the wrist for doing the wrong thing. :) If you stay here. Get up early and see if you can catch the mist coming down the valley. You can arrange canoe, kayak and jet skis for lake use. The camp host is super helpful. The mountains literally around this part are the tallest 14,000+ mountains in all of Colorado! Enjoy!
