I also told them I thought I had a bad wheel bearing. They charged me almost nothing because it was something bent that they straightened. If they would have charged me for a wheel bearing anyway, I wouldn't have blinked an eye. They are honest, fair, and awesome. They also will send you electronically a quote for every piece of work they might do, and you can individually accept/decline the jobs. Matt is a stellar guy, and I missed the secretary's name but she is always kind and patient with people (even those that might not deserve it). I tell everyone to bring their vehicles here and I firmly believe it.

The brakes and carb adjustments were previously done by the old shop. Dave said some brake parts were missing, two shoes and one drum were replaced, and the carb was way too rich. The brakes are smooth and the carb is right on the money. He also replaced my master cylinder ( I knew it was shot ) and fixed some other minor leaks. Like a good doctor, a good mechanic is hard to find, especially one that knows classics. Dave is that guy. I value Dave and his work. He has earned my business and my trust.

I've compared their prices against many big name shops such as Firestone, Merlin, NTB, etc. While these big name shops balloon their prices, Manila Auto - keeps their price fair - their labor rate times the number of work hours just right. - And most of all, their work is excellent! I trust them and I highly recommend them to all!

Angel put the car up and called me an hour later with suggestions to change the battery (almost dead after 7 years), the air and cabin filters (filthy and never changed before), and the oil (last was 18 months prior). He told me the brakes were fine and was too early for spark plugs. It was time for new tires but I did that at a tire shop later. He was very honest and it was a great value for the price I paid. It's hard to find mechanics like this (I live in California but grew up in Illinois). Cheers!

My truck is my baby and like my dog, I don't trust her well-being to just anybody. Besides, we all know, most mechanics will shyster a female more often than not. I went to Yelp and found Freedom Automotive. The reviews were very favorable and the word "honest" was used A LOT! Brought my truck in and they looked at it. The power steering was leaking fluid, so they cleaned it up and really couldn't tell where the leak was coming from. Jose ordered the parts and I brought her back the next morning for repair. Do you know, these guys cleaned it up again, took it apart, found the leak was a loose hose, tightened it and then called to let me know just what exactly it was!! Didn't pull a fast one and tell me I had to have a new gear case or new hoses or both. Just called me, said it was a loose hose that they tightened and only charged me for labor. WHO IS THAT HONEST ANY MORE?!!? I am beyond grateful for Freedom Automotive. If God has a special place in Heaven for honest mechanics, Jose and everyone at Freedom Automotive have a golden seat. I hope after reading this review you will give them your business. They deserve it and you will not be disappointed.

I originally got my car checked out on June 26th. They told me it would take a day to get the work…read moredone. I made the appointment for July 13th when I had some time off. We agreed on bringing it first thing in the morning. The work was for a rack and pinion , axles, and an alignment. On the day of my appointment, they told me it'll take 3 days because other people brought their cars over the weekend. I let them know I planned for it to be done within the day like originally discussed when I made the appointment. They said they will try to get it done the same day but that the work might be rushed and mistakes might be made since they can't have more time with it. They finally call me to pick up my car, but when I arrive, they let me know that the traction control light came on after they finished working on my car but that if I brought it back, they'd fix it free of charge since it was their mistake. The next day, my air bag light came on, and my horn stopped working, so I called back to see when I could bring it back. Jose let me know he'd be on vacation, but they'll order the part my car needs to fix the mistake. So I call them again once he's back from vacation. He lets me know they are extremely backed up, so it might be a while before they can fix it. A few days pass, and I call for an update on the part he originally said they ordered. He tells me they never ordered it, and I need to bring the car back in to see if they can fix the alignment, and THEN they'll see if I really need the part. I said, OK and we plan for me to bring it back on a Saturday. This is now August 29th. He tells me they know what needs to be replaced, but the part costs too much, and his boss won't approve buying it, so they'll keep an eye out for the part at the junkyard. I called again on 9/3 for an update on the part. They let me know unless I can find the part for them sooner/cheaper, there's nothing they can do. I call back today, 9/18, to let him know I got the part, and he tells me, "They did their part" and can no longer fix their mistake free of charge. I'd like to add, I brought my own parts, which they did mention I won't have warranty on the parts I brought if something were to happen, which I agreed to. BUT the issues that came after were due to the alignment done on my car, which they know that. So it had nothing to do with the parts I provided, that came from AutoZone, the same place they buy their parts from. I'm extremely frustrated because I've tried to be patient but in the end they left me disappointed and with added problems.

Within a mile of driving it the light was back on, I had scheduled another appointment for a week later for something unrelated. When I came in for that appointment (which included a diagnosis) they said that they couldn't diagnose it & that I would have to make a separate appointment & pay for them to address something that they didn't initially take care of. When they called to give me the diagnosis for the second visit, there was something fishy about how it was being handled & I was told that one repair would cost over $2000.00 & a second repair would cost over $5000.00 & the story kept changing (plus I was told that my car wasn't safe to drive.) I wasn't having any issues with my car until they told me during the first visit where they never fixed what it was brought in there in the first place. I read some negative reviews that described my situation to a "t" so I told them that I wasn't having any going to get a second opinion. They called backed twice trying to scare me into getting my car repaired by them. Even when I came in that first time I didn't feel like they gave much regard to me with regards to customer service, it was more about what was convenient for them & I was dismissed.
