I asked 5-7 times on the phone if he had put his eyes on the boat and he said and I quote "we don't take in anything even with spider cracks". Upon getting there I saw the damage and Dannie scratched the back of his head and goes "guess I didn't see that". Sure.... As you can see in the photos it was clearly damaged. He then said "I'll fix it" and "well I'll knock off 1,000$" like that's not the point there was damage done to the fiberglass. He then proceeded to argue with me over it's a 20 year old boat it's not gonna be perfect... typical used car salesmen with shady tactics. Stay away from this place. I caught DANNIE in multiple lies. One with the gelcoat, then with the hours of the boat he said and I quote "it's got between 400-500 hours, but definitely nothing over 500" it was 511.... Not a crazy difference but still a lie. Then the back story behind the boat when I got there he all of sudden didn't know much since "someone else took it in on trade" all of a sudden.. STAY AWAY from this place. Can't even imagine what they are hiding about these boats if they lie about the smallest of things and waste peoples time like they did mine. Long story short don't trust this shady boat marina.

I can't remember the exact price, I wanna say $450 for the6 hours, but don't quote me on that bc I THINK it may have been a tad more expensive. It's definitely a little pricey, but compared to their competitors, German Brothers definitely had the better price. The so-called "inconvenience" of renting from the vs the other(s) is German Bros is located out on West Lake Rd as the other is located in town...which is why I think they can get away with charging more at that place. The guys at German Bros were fantastic. Super friendly, super helpful...honestly don't have one bad thing to say about them or the business. For my first time experiencing one of these boat rental companies back home, I was definitely satisfied and even from my social media posts from that day and the days after our day on the lake, I referred like 5 people to this place and told them how much better it would be to go with them especially if they were worried about cost. You definitely save using German Brothers and these days, who isn't trying to save money any way they can? One thing to point out, you do have to pay for the gas for the boat and that cost is not included in the rental cost. You pay for the gas at the end of your time on the boat and I wanna say it's like a dollar and change more than what we'd pay at the pump ourselves. Then again, wait, haha, not sure what kind of gas these boats use haha! Just know tho, you pay separate for the gas. I recommended this to 5 different people (as mentioned already) and I'd gladly recommend to 5 more, 10 more, etc. They're a fantastic company and they deserve all the business they can get. Marine blue I bought…read morean engine from Marine Blue and installed it on my new boat. I did all the hooks ups for the remote controls and asked them to: Connect the engine to the smg4 multi-gauge Connect the permanent fuel tank sender to the smg4. Several estimates later they proposed $170 each for the two tasks and added a $250 charge to verify that my remote hookups were correct, because "It's a liability issue for us'(*). I took the engine in on a Wednesday. When I called to check Thursday they said they had identified a warranty issue with the engine: "the pre-ignition engine gas reservoir". They also said they could not hook up the smg4 and had called the manufacturer to discuss. The conclusion was that they had order a new diagnostic cable which arrived Friday but the tech was out. On Monday I spoke to a sales rep twice about status. The first time he said the tech was working on it and he "wasn't gong to interrupt him". The second time he said "we are in negotiations with the manufacturer about warranty and we can't give you any information" So I called the manufacturer. Their advice, after hearing the above litany, was to take the boat out of there and take it to another shop; they gave me three suggested shops. They denied that there had been any discussion about warranty issues Tuesday I spoke to the shop owner who reiterated the warranty claim, I told him the manufacturer had said there had been no communication, except on one call last Thursday where they were asked about how to hook up their diagnostic cable. The owner blamed the oversight on his staff. He then informed me that the tech was busy at work building a "new cable to connect the engine to the smg4." I told him to stop work; the cable he referenced had already been installed by me. I told him the manufacturer had advised me to take the boat to another shop. Marine Blue refused to release the boat until I paid a bill of $1060. The manufacturer offered to pay half the bill. My impression is the Martine Blue is either incompetent and/or dishonest I agree to this solution although I felt like was paying for nothing. When I took the boat to another shop the tech there said he could not see that the original shop had actually done anything, and there was no warranty issue with the engine. He completed the job in a timely manner with a fair charge. He spoke with me afterward about various questions I had in an open and friendly manner (see RS motorsports in Canadaigua- highly recommended). If you are in the need of engine work I would suggest you call you engine's manufacturer and have them recommend a shop they trust. (* the manufacturer said the tasks I had requested were a 15" job. He added that he saw no reason to charge me for the remote cable re-do.")
