I drove to Penn Yan from Northern Virginia because Morgan Marine had the exact Jackson Bluesky Angler 360 that I was looking for at a fair price point. I made my purchase but I needed some extra tie downs for my trailer and Morgan was out of the size I needed so Ryan suggested I go to Tractor Supply as they may have had them. While I was shopping in Tractor Supply I see Chris the guy who helped me load the boat at Morgan's looking up and down the aisles in the store. I chose Morgan Marine for their price and their professional attitude on the phone. I got prices of a Hobie Mirage Eclipse stand up pedal board from all over southern and central NY state and they were the cheapest and closest to me. When I arrived, they had the board ready for me. I ended up also buying a board bag and some rack cushions for my truck. Both of those items were competitively priced as well. After paying for the merchandise, Ryan and another employee went over the operation, care and transport of the board, the steering system and drive system. Then they helped me load it onto the rack on my pickup truck. The entire experience was hassle free. And the board works as expected! read more

Always been there for our family for our boat repairs, and very professional folks. The gas dock for boats on the water is a little tight for a bigger boat and you really should have an experience captain getting in and out of the marina, but its a nice set up! The dock store and showroom are also very well done and always full of the newest inventory. 100% recommend Morgan Marine. read more

I'd NEVER go to this establishment again! The female owner is probably one of the skankiest women I've ever had the unfortunate experience of meeting. We went to pick up our boat and while we were finishing up filling out the paperwork, they allowed another group to go in front of us and take our boat. We then had to wait an additional THIRTY minutes while they prepared a different boat for us. They didn't offer anything to compensate for this event and instead told us it's a monopoly system and there are always more than enough customers so we'd have to deal with their atrocious service. They never once apologized and instead blamed the whole event on us. We spent over $600 today on renting their equipment, surely they could have offered much better customer service to the people who are paying to keep them in business. Definitely go to a different marina and don't waste your time with these rude people who don't have a clue as to what customer service is!! read more

We've rented a boat from Morgan Marine for 2 weeks per summer for the past 4 years. The staff in the shop are fine - the owners are wretched! The owners have absolutely no customer service skills and each interaction with either of them have left us wondering why we keep going back and giving them money by continuing to rent boats from them. We selected Morgan Marine because we knew that each year they used new boats for their rental fleet - and we wanted to be sure to have issue-free rental experiences. We've had an issue with the rental each year which required us to reach out to Morgan Marine - some issues major (boat stalling repeatedly beginning on first ride home on first day of rental), there was an issue with the stern light not securing properly - the light would fall off and into the lake unless one of the passengers held it in place during night boating, and then some not so critical (radio failing after the first day of the 2 week rental, ski rope breaking, etc). Things break, we understand that - it's how the interaction with the customer is handled when things do break which sets a good business apart from the competition. Over the past 4 years we've had plenty of interactions with the owners - each time we walk away wondering how a couple in a service oriented family owned business can have such poor customer service skills and terrible attitudes. These are the owners so they can't blame their staff. This last experience ended with US being told that they would not rent to us again... because 'each time, there's an issue with you' - as if it is our fault that there are issues with the rental boat?!? We are reasonable people in service related industries and understand what's involved with managing people - staff and customers - and don't have unreasonable expectations. We've spent ~$16,000 with Morgan on boat rentals in the last 4 years - if that doesn't motivate good customer service, I can't imagine what would!!! Dealing with Morgan Marine is like dealing with Seinfeld's Soup Nazi but with standard motor boats - not some specialty soup that can't be found elsewhere. These people are not the only game in town - we are happy to give our business to other businesses around the lake in the years ahead. read more

We rented a boat for the afternoon from Morgan Marine. Everything was smooth and easy and having dealt with multiple staff members, everyone was very engaging and friendly. Definitely felt like a family owned shop that cared. Their main shop seemed full of anything you may need for your boat, from water skis to lights, anchors, buoys, you name it, they probably have it. Their marina looked well kept along with their boat storage, but we were here to get out on the water! It was actually a pretty cool process to get the boat. It starts on dry dock being picked up with a forklift and then placed in the water. A big plus is that their rental boats are all new, so we had a 2016 model. They go over how everything works and take you out for a quick spin to make sure you know what the hell you are doing. All that took about 20-25 minutes and we were off on our own. Life jackets, a tube or water skis come along with the boat if you want. Overall we had a bast. Definitely on the pricey side, but we were running around in a beautiful brand new boat for the day. read more

Would you believe they actually wanted to put a technician on the clock to look up a mercury part number so that I could buy the correct part. It's not enough that they charge exorbitant parts rates, they wanted to tack on a service technician look up rate. That's a first for me and definitely earned a poor review. I would rate this as poor customer service and would never go back. read more

Do yourself a favor and try a different marina. The prices are high (try east bluff marina for more reasonable rentals) and I am not sure what is going on with their staffing but it seems overstaffed with a bunch of young girls who aren't sure what is going on. The manager? (Jeff) seems knowledgeable but I witnessed him make some condescending remarks. The lake should be enjoyed...so take your business elsewhere. read more

When a person wants to charge high $ prices, it should be high quality equipment. Unfortunately, that is not the case with Morgan marine. they take a good quality wakeboard and throw on the cheapest bindings one could find, and hand it off as if it's worth the $ amount. This is truly not the case. One of the employees admitted to this sentiment. The awful board bindings became so loose, mid wakeboard ride, that the board slipped off my children's feet on three separate occasions, the last occasion bruising one of the ligaments in my daughters foot. Another employee was irresponsible in handling the rental to begin with offering false excuses about board graphics when a female board was requested, then shoving it off and blaming lack of boards on a "busy season." This was after we called ahead and asked if they had the boards we were looking for in stock. We have had awful experiences with the company in the past and decided to generously give them another chance, regretfully. I recommend no one gives this company there business to avoid a huge waste of time and money. read more

I went there when we were shopping for a used boat. I was just beginning the search and was looking for information and helpful sales people. I looked at a boat in my price range and when I expressed interest in it and wanted to drive it, they actually said "i'm not going to put it in the water for you to test it if you don't think you'll buy it". Seriously? You sell boats. The attitude was unbelievable...I took my business to a marina on Conesus lake and had a much better experience! read more

I bought a new boat from Morgan about three years ago and have it serviced and stored for the winter there ever since. The last time I picked it up from storage we noticed a large dent in the side panel. When I brought it to the maintenance manager's attention, he claimed that it could not have bee done by them and refused to discuss it further. When I spoke with the manager, he said that he investigated and was sure that they were not at fault. He insisted that myself or someone else in my family must have been responsible. As I was the only person who touched the boat when I left it off and then picked it back up after winter storage (other than the personnel at Morgan Marine) he was essentially calling me a liar. Needless to say, I will never do business there again. If you choose to do so, take photos before you leave anything so you have proof. read more

I wish I could leave no stars. The staff here are incredibly rude and unaccomodating. I came with a group of colleagues looking to rent a boat for the afternoon and when they were all booked, I asked for a recommendation of another rental place we could try. In an attempt to be just plain difficult as we weren't a potential profit for them, the staff dismissed me saying to just "download the app". I then said I was unfamiliar with the region and asked for a recommendation of another lake or river nearby we might be able to try and the so-called manager "Ryan" sarcastically told me "it's not their job to provide tourist information and to try the local chamber of commerce" - he then abruptly told me he had a "potential buyer" in their showroom and again, dismissed me. This is the kind of place that is unwelcoming and unfriendly to tourists - only interested in trying to lure in a boat sale. Not worth the time! read more

I was a regular customer. When a problem occured, owners reluctantly addressed it, but with extremely rude attitude. They actually said "If you don't like it, take your business elsewhere." So I did. Several others I have talked to have had similar experiences. They seem to have more business than they want or need. There are other, better options on Keuka Lake. read more

We have been using Morgan Marine to service our boat since 2009 and we've always been pleased with the team & their responsiveness to our needs. Last week we went in to look at new boats. We found a new 2013 Larson that we loved. They gave us a great trade in price and made the whole process so easy. Ryan delivered the boat to our house on the lake and drove away in our last one. Ryan is really knowledgeable in sales and Jimmy is the best in service. We plan on being lifelong customers! read more
