Had a very bad experience. So bad that I decided to open a yelp account so I can write a review about him and his staff.
Do you like greedy doctors that just want your money? Do you like it when someone tries to take advantage of you? How do you feel when someone makes a mistake and then tries to put the blame on you or someone else? If you answered yes this place is for you. Let me tell you what happened briefly:
My primary doctor referred me to this doctor. My first visit they did urine test to confirm the presence of blood in my urine. He said he saw blood with a microscope and told me to make an appointment to do a cystoscopy. I made an appointment for two weeks later (earliest available). I was planning on visiting a family member during my winter break but decided not to go because of this visit. On my first visit his office manager gave me a pill to take one hour before appointment. I took the pill before appointment and showed up 30 min early. I entered the office, office receptionist had a very cold attitude, told me to call my primary doctor because I need authorization for this procedure. I was confused for a moment; I had made the appointment two weeks ago. I said "what do you mean? no one told me to call my primary doctor why telling me this now? My primary doctor's office is closed for the holidays (and they knew that already I found out later)." So she told me to sit down and wait. So I waited for 30 min (the office was not busy at all on that day fyi) and a girl comes out, handed me a cup to pee. I said they just told me this procedure cannot be completed without authorization from my primary doctor and I'm waiting for office manager, why pee in this cup? She said "ok have a seat" I am almost certain that they wanted me to pee in the cup just so they can charge me and my insurance. There was absolutely no point in just doing a urine test only on that visit. I had already done it and was there to do cystoscopy. Then office manager came. She said we called your primary doctor last week to get authorization because your insurance requires authorization from primary doctor. I said "why you didn't call them again. you called them last week, it's been a week what happened since then" She said called them and they said we'll send it to you. I said "this makes no sense you should have called them again. Also why you didn't call me today about this problem? Why you made me drive to this office? You knew you didn't have authorization." She gave me some BS answer which made no sense. She was just the type that doesn't want to accept responsibility. I was so frustrated, I had changed my trip because of this visit. I had drove there and waited 40 min to be told that I cannot see the doctor. I asked to see the urologist Jeffrey Marks . The doctor came and first thing he said was "let me tell you what, it's better to be on side of the doctor that be a patient" I told Jeffrey Marks what the office manager had told me and I said what she said makes no sense. And why you guys didn't bother to call me and let me know that procedure cannot be done today. He said she should have done that. Then he said he's gonna make sure I won't get screwed over again. I said "no I don't want to that chance again. I want all my health records and I want to go somewhere else." I got the documents and left. I then read what he had wrote in the records. He wrote no blood was seen in the urine. I said to myself "he told me, verbally, he saw urine in my blood. that's why I needed, according to him, to do a cystoscopy." Well the least I can do is write a review here and everywhere possible on the internet, expose this guy and his staff. This "doctor" is a crook, his staff members are even worse. One more thing, I forgot to mention, which was funny: when I was about to leave he said don't worry I won't charge you for this visit. lol I was about to say: Charge me for what? I'm not worried but if you do charge me I will take you to court. But since he was older than me I decided to respectfully leave his office and never see him or his staff again. read more
