In some cases this is great if you're sick, but can adversely affect the current appointments for that day For me, it's more important to find a doctor who will prescribe needed orders and medications than wait times. So I've just managed expectations on that front. I understand some others may feel different.

Parking was a breeze in the free rear lot with two handicap spaces in front of the entrance for easy access. This center offers the use of wheelchairs for easy mobility into the center. The front counter women was very helpful. The four page health application was simple and intake was after only a few minutes wait. The new doctor was nice and patient with my family. I went to One Medical in Fort Lauderdale for what was supposed to be a free consultation. After the appointment, I suddenly found a $300+ charge added to my account. I spent hours speaking with representatives and exchanged at least 25+ emails trying to get an explanation. What they finally told me was honestly unbelievable: they claimed the charge was added because the medical professional asked me a question about bloating during the consultation, and I answered that it was NOT an issue. That single question apparently became a separate billable line item worth over $300. There was never any discussion before or after about treatment, diagnosis, or concerns related to it. In fact, the question felt random and completely out of place at the time. But One Medical refuses to remove the charge because, according to them, the topic was "discussed" simply because their employee asked the question. What makes this even worse is that I am apparently not the only person this happened to. My wife also received an unexpected charge tied to some random question they asked her during her visit, despite her having no issues either. At this point, it genuinely feels like this company is using sketchy billing tactics to squeeze extra money out of patients. Unless both my wife and I are some unbelievable coincidence, I strongly encourage anyone else who has experienced similar surprise charges here to speak up. People deserve transparency in healthcare, not hidden billing traps disguised as "medical discussions." This is a genuine raving fan review and a well deserved one. I've lived in a lot of different cities and therefore have had a lot of different doctors. I get blood work done every 3 months. It's always the usual routine, and sometimes there's a nice receptionist, but generally speaking they're all the same and they act like you're just a number. My personal Nurse Practitioner at Healthstone makes me feel like a welcome friend. She gives me straight answers and only after taking careful diligence to research my results. The staff are all on board when I come in and they are friendly, quick to help and they work as a team to make it known that I'm recognized and important to them. I'm just a simple man and I'm sure I'm not their best revenue stream by a long shot, but you wouldn't know that by the service I get. I watched them do this with everyone in the lobby so it isn't just me. Besides, I'm not very handsome. This is a management thing, and a very good one.
