Overall, I was decently satisfied with the work East Penn Roofing did on my home, but I was very…read morefrustrated with the lack of communication and the surprise bill I received at the end. We had Jacob, the estimator, come out and give us a quote of around $6,000 (plus or minus a few hundred dollars) for a roof leak repair. The crew came out, installed a new rubber roof on our back sunroom, added a skylight, and did some carpentry work. The only communication I received during the project was a single phone call from Jacob, letting me know the cost might be a few hundred dollars higher than the original estimate. The next day, however, someone else came out asking us to sign a change order stating we owed an additional $3,200 on top of the $6,000 estimate. I could have understood $1,000 over, but more than 50% higher with no warning? That was completely unreasonable. Unfortunately, their fine print allows them to tack on costs without much recourse for the customer. Change orders are presented after the work is done, not during the process, leaving you with no opportunity to approve or decline adjustments as they go. In summary: East Penn Roofing does solid work, but their communication is poor and you should be prepared for surprise costs far above your initial estimate. Buyer beware.

I could not get anyone to help us in our immediate area. I reached out to Cityline 65 miles away from our home. A couple of days later the owner personally came to see the damage. They were here everyday with up to 12 people working. 59 days later, they finished. The team did an amazing job. The basement looks great and the first floor is beautiful. It was on this day that Cityline guaranteed us that they will support our restoration project with commitment, professionalism, and thought from beginning to end. An hour after the last firefighter left our house and our insurance company was called, a representative from Cityline reached out to set up an appointment to begin our restoration. The response was fast and amazing. That evening equipment began to arrive. The following morning an entire work crew arrived and began the clean-up. In addition, Dana was appointed as our project manager and took away every worry we had by taking complete control of all scheduling. Tom Williams, the owner, arrived as well to ensure all work will be done with the upmost professionalism and promptness. He was RIGHT! For the next several weeks, Cityline did not miss a day during the entire restoration project. Their dedicated employees cleaned/scrubbed every inch of our house, while the construction crews constructed, patched, and painted with a high level of skill. They were also extremely respectful of our living space and time throughout the entire process. We have worked with many contractors throughout the years on our farmhouse, but none have been so committed to providing an all-around positive experience than Cityline. We can't thank Tom, Dana, the many Cityline workers, and outside chimney contractors enough. Rick and Nanci K.
