The day before I got a call about the location and if I knew how to find the place, but no notification that I would be getting my pupils dilated, that I should bring contacts or prescription glasses, or sunglasses. Additionally the appointment ended up being an hour and a half which it has never taken that long. I had only anticipated an hour so I had a conference call that I had to get on so I had to put an earbud in while listening to Dr. Bast give me his assessment. He was very descriptive and helpful, confirming my already known inability to get lasik and crushing my hope of ever having my eyes ever be 20/20. The staff is very nice otherwise.

Explained again and was told I was overdue for an exam. I stated this prescription was working perfectly and was not necessary. He looked up my coverage in VSP, said "You've got good insurance and your exams are free." Turned down the exam. Not necessary. Prescription fine. Paid my deductible. Next morning, he calls me dayong the insurance company turned it down without an exam and wanted yo schedule an exam. I turned it down and told I'd be in to p/u my frames and refund. I immediately called VSP who stated they received yhe request that's pending and did not/would not tell them that. I returned and picked up my frames and refunded copy. If I was told it was their policy, I can respect that. He lied blaming VSP to get the "FREE" exam out of my insurance company on top of the $600 sum lenses. I will mot do business with a dishonest retailer. After completing the paperwork I was walked back to start my appointment, almost immediately. This is always a great perk to not have to sit and wait for who knows how long due to someone being behind schedule. I really liked that the assistants get the process starting by asking some questions and doing a couple of the first tests. After I was done with that portion I was personally walked into the exam room and greeted by Dr. Goodfellow just a few moments after. Dr. Goodfellow did a great job at asking me questions, learning more about me and my issues. Through learning more about me, he was able to give some great advice with even better reasons to back up his professional advice. I left with a totally new prescription that fit my eyes WAY better than my previous. I especially like that he wasn't afraid to give me a weaker prescription than my current one - this to me feels like he isn't trying to make my eyes worse and keep me coming back for new prescriptions and really just trying to create the best solution for me on the spot. My latest perscription is perfect and I am greatly satisfied. Thank you!
