Unbelievable and awesome are just a couple of words I would use to describe our experience. Markl & Sons actually come to our house and gave us different options. Randy could've sold us a bigger system than we needed but was honest and told me we didn't need one that big. He made us a priority and worked us into the schedule the next day. He even showed up with Kenny and Tim to help relay the details. The guys went above and beyond during the install. We have an older house and smaller system before so it required some effort. Reached out via their website "contact us" page and received a phone call same day. One of two air units wouldnt keep temperature and needed to be looked at. Called several companies and all wanted a "trip charge" to come look that would be forgiven if a purchase was eventually made. I dont understand this concept and apparantly neither does Markl & Sons, as they didn't charge me $85 for coming out and taking a look. Ended up needing a new air handler. Took a couple days for the parts to arrive but they showed up on time and the team worked nonstop in 100 degree heat (attic installation) to install and make sure it worked as it should before they cleaned up after themselves (with broom and mop) and shook my hand said their goodbyes and left. Oh, and of course collected a check. I will not hesitate to call them again. Appreciate the honesty. read more

Earlier this summer, my two-year-old central air conditioner quit cooling. I called Markl & Sons and they were on the job in a couple of hours. They were not able to find the leak, so they recharged the system and added a die/sealant. A few weeks later, I noticed that the system was starting to struggle. I called Markl & Sons, who again responded very quickly. In minutes, they found die on my heat exchanger solving the leak mystery. Even though Markl & Sons did not installed the system, they took care of getting the part under warranty. I did pay for the labor to install it which is standard. Markl & Sons would have warrantied the labor if they had installed the system. I just had Markl & Sons out to do my fall furnace inspection. They (Robert) have been very quick to respond, always professional and do it for a fair price. I am happy to recommend them. read more

Two times since we joined Markl & Sons we've had a/c problems and not been able to get in touch with them. They don't bother to call back. We had to go to another company that came right out and did the repairs at a reasonable price. We found out that Markl & Sons didn't do the correct maintenance on our mini-split. All they ever did was clean the filter. They added a lot of freon in our main a/c unit every time they came out costing $$$. We still had another year service maintenance contract with them and asked that it be canceled - they don't do refunds! Stay away from these people - it's not worth it. read more

I called for a second opinion after the first company wanted to charge me $1,000. They were professional and prompt about getting out to my house. It's 104 out this week and I know they are busy. The tech notion diagnosed the problem (which was the same as the original contractor) and said it would only cost $400. On top of that, he checked the outside unit gauges where the other company didn't. I am very please with this company and will be using them in the future! read more

I'm happy with the results having Markle and Sons repair my air conditioner. They came out the day I called, diagnose the problem and changed out a capacitor and check that the system was operating well. They charged $75 for the service call and diagnosis and $85 to replace the capacitor. They were pleasant talking with me during the repairs. read more

My husband and I just used Markyl and Sons to replace our air conditioner compressor. The woman who answers the phone is not friendly and seems extremely put out if you ask questions. Our main concern was that we requested a time frame so we could plan to be home. ( we had to leave our home until it could be repaired since it's August and it's Texas) When I called to get some idea of when the tech might be able to arrive she said " I told you this afternoon!" I said ok and we ended the call. Within seconds my phone rang and a man named John said " Mrs. Baucum?" And when I said yes, he proceeded to lecture me about having 3 customers ahead of us and if we didn't like that, then we could call someone else. Very rude! We realize this is peak time for repairs but there is no excuse for berating customers because they request a time frame. On a good note, the technician was nice and professional. read more

We had a sudden leak in our A/C on Monday night. We had no idea what to do but to shut our unit off. I called Markle & Sons at 6:45 Tuesday morning and left a voicemail. I got a call from the office lady at 8:05 asking our particulars. She was very friendly but couldn't give me an exact time frame as to when they couldn't come take a look. Within the hour, I got the call from a worker saying he could meet me in 10 mins. Daniel and Randy came over and took care of our problems! They were both so friendly and funny also. I had never used any a/c companies around here and didn't know what to expect. I plan on signing up for their yearly service plan. read more

Two of three a/c units not cooling. Technicians on first service call on July 19th said both units needed freon and added 4 lbs to the downstairs unit and 6 lbs to the upstairs unit. Total cost of $1,080. Despite these units be out of freon the technicians didn't take the time to determine why. Within 3 weeks the upstairs unit is once again not cooling so I have second service call on August 11th. On this call they find that the unit has a leak that caused me to lose $474 in freon that was added to the system just 3 weeks ago. Total cost for this service call is $260 that doesn't include the cost to actually repair the leak. I have no faith in Markl & Sons expertise and their technicians. Very dis-satisfied. I will never use their service again and dis-courage anyone else from using them. read more

My ac needed help suddenly this past July 4th holiday and thought all was fixed until last week when same problem happened again, my 1st call was Friday and followed with additional calls with no reply, until Monday afternoon, (no ac all weekend).. end result is Markl and son took my $ 300.00 + but didn't do anything correctly nor completed said service. Unfortunately I'm suffering a major big $$$ loss since my ac no longer works however I've also been educated on ac repairs thanks to the shady & crooked ppl at Markl & son.
