UPDATE: I went back to this shop in two weeks for another cut. The very owner who didn't even…read moreacknowledge me the first time ignored me again when entering, the other barbers did. About 15 minutes into my cut the owner says "Whats this about a negative review you did about my shop. You didn't like what was on TV and you know your barber..." he went on to insult my barber who was a friend I was supporting through difficult change in his life and he is passionate about cutting hair, he then said "I didn't read your review but I will have on whatever I want on my TV's". I don't have a problem with that but I do have a problem with ignorance especially when he calls himself a public figure, motivational speaker and such. Can you believe a business owner would think the below unedited review was negative? ORIGINAL REVIEW: Change is good, I hadn't been in a barber shop in probably 35 years, been loyal to a stylist and to salons. At 56 years old on Monday I have had only 5 prior people that cut my hair. My recent Salon, sold and relocated and its not convenient in any way parking is terrible so a good friend, a newer barber, Dan Kane who was recently trained in all the latest cuts, fades and styles introduced me to this culture, the new American Barbershop. Things sure have changed from my last experience, that was a very old barber that didn't ask why you wanted just cut hair. There was always good conversation with the barber for my Dad but other then "sit still" the barber didn't really engage with me. Today I watched Dan Kane and two other barbers of the 5 in shop today were so engaged with children, talking, asking how they like it and making it so cool, yes the parents say was the guide but kids were actually having fun there. That was the biggest difference for me but there were others, extremely clean, well appointed shop with multiple large televisions, kids stuff on the back TV and sports on the both TV's in the waiting area. Not a huge sports fanatic so it would be nice if one of the TV's were on maybe a news source or something to appeal to a broader audience, Kudos to the owner Webster Adams for doing so much for the community, very active in sponsoring many Childrens activities and other community minded efforts, I get it, his shop his choice of whats on TV, however I have recently visited a lot of shops that seem to focus on the barber with what is on TV or the Radio, but the really successful ones entertainment appeal to clients not themselves. I noticed a couple other reviews here, one done recently was not a review but a complaint, that is not what Yelp is for, its about evaluating the entire experience, not just the good or bad. I can tell you I heard not one bit of foul language and it was a very kid friendly environment. The shop that is erroneously listed as being in Langhorne it is in Levittown between Trenton Road and Lincoln highway, where Gerome's Sausage and the center is next to Garden of Eatin and Dairy Delite, the old coo coo clock Ice cream with ample free parking in a safe, clean lot and center. On entering my barber, Dan Kane acknowledged me immediately, the owner did not offer a greeting, last visit, my first he did although just a nod and a hi. He was extremely engaged with the people he knew on both visits so he is talkative but maybe not with new people. I do expect a business owner to acknowledge me as a paying customer since I have many options with the number of hair places in just a few mile radius. He didn't respond to the previous Yelp posts either and has Langhorne in the address so this is an area that could increase his new business. Comfort with regulars is great but these issues will not help a business to continue to grow. Every inch of the shop is extremely clean and the barbers all have pride in their work and are well equipped. Lighting is excellent and the music was great. I will note that while being cut the barber in the next chair turned his chair a few times bumping my chair while my barber had a blade at my throat, his chair did strike my foot twice and he not only didn't acknowledge that or say sorry but ignored and did it again a couple more times. Apparently the mirrors were hung a bit too close together when the rear of the shop has a ton of extra space. Appointments can be made directly with your Barber. This should probably be posted in the waiting area because I did overhear a customer say that I was here before them and them when the owner took his clients I guess were scheduled. Again 30+ years ago there were no appointments at Barbershops. I was taken on time with my appointment and am very happy with the attention to detail and time spent making certain my look was exactly as I wanted. The cost was reasonable and everything about the visit was convenient. Most important I feel good cause my hair looks great! The cost savings of going to a salon makes it easy to get tightened up every two weeks instead of 6 with money to spare.

I have been coming to this barber spot for a couple months since my son barber moves to this…read morelocation where he goes my son follows lol he's 9years old and has been cutting my son hair since the age of 2 my son does not change his barber we travel 1 hr to get his haircuts barber name is Damien he's the main guy as soon as you walk in he will be the first you see. Now I read the other reviews of people dropping the F bomb and find that really hard to believe Bc again I've been coming here for some time now and I haven't heard any cursing. I do think people expect to much for such a moderate place they keep their shop very clean it smells clean as you walk in and the restroom as well is very clean. If you had a mini bad experience you should give it another try and if not at least mention to them what is wrong so they can fix that and provide better service to you... but in general he deserves a 10 star to me thanks Damien
