We had lunch next door at the Pho place, which is great. Anyway, my husband went back Tuesday at 7, as asked, and ended up with either a new guy, or someone in training, because his hair looks uneven, awful and short. We even had a reference pic of his actual hair from another time he had it done, which was great, and shouldn't have been a problem. The original guy who told my husband to come back was busy, so he got the only other younger guy who took over an hour to butcher his head. First, he was told to come back Tuesday night after work, only to sit in the chair for an hour, just to get a bad haircut. Crap customer service. Its disappointing because we had an important function to go to this week. Never again.

The only downside is they don't take appointments so I was probably waiting for 30 minutes the last time. They accept card, cut costs about $25, which is cheaper than my old barbershop in Haddonfield! Update: the owner Juan takes appointments and he's really good. You have to make the appointment online. I've been going there for about 4 years and have had my hair cut by every barber who has worked there over that timeframe (same with my kids). They really take their time on cuts and do a really nice job. I'd be willing to be that negative reviews are coming from people affiliated with other local barber shops. Who goes into Wawa and asks strangers where they got a bad-looking haircut? (Probably someone with a shop down the street) I also saw someone mention that they didn't like the fact that certain friends/family of employees got special treatment while someone else was waiting. How would you know that someone didn't call ahead for an appointment? Truth is, this is a neighborhood place and over the last few years I've gotten to know the people over there. They are all good guys and they take good care of me and my family. They don't deserve a 1 Star review.

John doesn't offer traditional straight razor face shaves, so if you're looking for that, look elsewhere. John's shop is dated, much like the East End of Canonsburg. Buddy works Thur, Fri, and Sat; Mickey and Tony work the other days. You'll always find at least one at the shop.
