A fuel and car wash stop was surprisingly better than anticipated. This is a corner BP that I pass daily, but have never tried. I needed a car wash ASAP and thought why not knowing quality is typically marginal at these places. The location is on the corner of Baxter and Princess Anne. Signage is great with a BP sign clearly signifying its a gas station. Access can be limited depending on your direction creating a u-turn situation. There are two air pumps and a vacuum in front. Landscaping is a bit rough, but not unsightly. The listing on Yelp was only for convenience store only which I did not utilize during the visit. John G. noted no gas category in his review 5 years ago. Pro tip if the category is not in the yelp system then add it through edit so HQ can update. That way it can be searched. I added gas and car wash. So now the business can be searched for three categories and two new ones. The pump area was immaculate and newer trash bins within their boundaries. This BP offers at least ten pumps including diesel. Both wash and towels were present. The pricing was $2.55 a gallon which is higher by 5 cents to others in the vicinity. This is typical for BP and with a discounted wash worth it to me. My card processed flawlessly and I added an Ultimate car wash at $12 per my request. There is a lower price option. A receipt generated with the wash code. The wash entrance is to the left of the building. It happened to be undergoing maintenance at the time which delayed me around 10 minutes. Luckily I was not in a hurry and first in line. However, a back up was created. The wash was better than average and takes over 7 minutes for an Ultimate when drying is included. A negative is the digital clock when drying is located inside. When pulling forward more than a quarter way you cannot see it. There are also vacuums to the side of the wash. I'm pretty impressed and shocked at their low overall rating. But keep in mind I did not go in, or have any personal staff interaction. Hi speed diesel is not fast on 9/16/21. Maybe a filter clogged or something going on. Has been fast other times. Waiting 7-8 minutes to get 10 gallons, crazy. Just don't have a sign that says high speed if you can't live up to the expectations. read more

Bought a car wash at the pump 10/26 but paid thru app. Pump gave same random error message and never printed out car wash code. I go back later that day, they tell me I need to return on Monday to see manager. I return Monday to see manager. What a Doofus! I tell him what happened and that I wasn't trying to get money back just the wash that I paid for. Tells me he sees no transactions on the pump I was on for that time. Well, maybe it was because pump gave error message and appeared to reboot (this is where my mistake was not taking a picture of the error code). You need to check with your IT to find out why the transaction isn't showing. If you pull up video from the camera, I'm sure it will confirm the pump I was on. Doofus basically accused me of lying by saying he doesn't know if I already got the cash wash. WHAT?! I'm wasting all this time lying about $10? You freakin' kidding me?! Then, after all this back and forth, he issues me a "courtesy" car wash. It really wasn't "courtesy" because I never got the one I paid for!!! He just chose not to believe me probably because I didn't look like him. I even showed him in the app where I got the gas discount based on the purchase of a car wash which he confirmed. Unless the machine just randomly gives out .20 cent discounts! SMDH. Used to be one of my regular places to purchase gas but I'm certainly not purchasing any more car washes. Like what John G. said, this is a standard BP gas station. The Market Plus has a sandwich shop when you walk inside on the left, however, in the many times I've gone here (day and night) I have never seen it open up. Also, there is a nice looking drive-thru car wash (if you're into that sort of thing). My cousin says that this place is the Mecca of toilet paper. Apparently, their brand (Kirkland's) is the best in town. I think I'll stick to Charmin for now, but if you ever run into a toilet paper emergency at 3am now you know where to go. read more

If you have all day to fill your tank this is the place for you!!! I was here for 10 minutes and didn't even manage to get 10 gallons. There are 3 other folks gassing up. I asked the lady next to me if her pump was slow and she said yes! She said she couldn't take waiting so left after 10 bucks. It's too hot to be standing here for an hour just to fill up. No wonder the place on one of the busiest VB corners is empty. I stopped at 9 1/2 gallons because I have a life that I would like to get back to. Beyond ludicrous. The Harris Teeter Loyalty button never works on the pumps, I have to move around to find one that works. On days all pumps are full I have to walk inside and have an exact amount i'd like to pay. The older cashier guy is VERY rude, not helpful, and arrogant. He should not work in a customer service position. This is not the first time i'v had to deal with him or the machines not working, I gas about at least every 2 weeks. I'm going to look for another BP. I wish HT loyalty would switch over to 7-11, it may not even be worth using the points again if I have to go back Market Plus/BP to the place. read more

Also I talked to an employee and she complained to me about only having the option of coffee or soda to drink . No water ?! She just had a baby and I find that extremely unfair. I have been buying gas at this station ever since Harris Teeter started their points system. The pumps at this station hardly ever work properly for the HT program. I have had to try three different pumps the last few times I have been there. The last I was there I got so frustrated I just pumped the regular price since my gas light was on. I have talked to the manager/ owner ? Twice now about his pumps not working properly. He is very arrogant and tells me he is too busy to do anything. I have asked him to come out and check his pumps but he just brushes me off. read more

I was here after the posted opening time and was patiently waiting in my car for the guy inside to get ready and he opened the door yelled out at me "we aren't open" and slammed the door and kept glaring at me until i left. QUICK REVIEW! INTRO: This place is a gas station convenience store near my work. As a gas station, I don't have an opinion on this place, since I've never gotten gas or a car wash here. However, as a convenience store this place is a real hidden gem. THE GOOD: This place is a top notch convenience store! Not only do they have a wide selection of snack and drink brands to choose from, but they also make fresh sandwiches, wraps, and salads everyday. I'm huge into wraps and the ones that are made here are made well and reasonably priced. They use a wide variety of wrap types, meats, and cheeses, so there's lots to choose from as well. Although don't expect anything too fancy.The sandwiches are very similar, and can be found on wide variety of bread types (standard sliced, to subs, to other rolls). There are plenty of different variations with the salads as well. I always get the pre-made sandwiches and wraps, but I'm pretty sure that you can get them made to order as well during lunch hours when they have someone behind the sandwich counter. Again, I really like the wraps and sandwiches here, and without a WaWa nearby, this place is a good alternative. I certainly prefer them to say Subway. THE BAD: Some other reviewers have complained about the gas and car wash stuff. I've never used this place for either so I can't really confirm or deny any of the negative statements made. The gas doesn't seem to be all that competitively priced, so if your looking to fill-up cheap there are probably other places that might better serve your needs. Again, I come here mainly to get lunch. THE BOTTOM LINE: This is one of my go to places in the area to get a simple lunch (wrap/sandwich, chips, drink). The sandwiches and wraps are awesome. I came into your gas station and purchased a $10 car wash. The car wash did not work. I drove over the plate each time. The machine acted like starting and then never would go through the 6 steps. I opened car door to check and I was on the plate. I went in to tell lady it wasn't working and she was very rude. I think because I interrupted her cigarette and cell phone break (which she was outside for well over 15min while the store was busy). She was snotty and rude and disrespectful when she spoke to me. Acting like I was stupid and she couldn't explain it very well. She gave me a new code and I went and tried again. Same thing happened. I went I requesting a refund since it didn't work and she refused. Was even ruder and sd I couldn't get a refund. I asked why and she sd because we already gave you one. I said no you gave me a new code and the wash still didn't work. She sd I needed to come back when manager was there as she leans over counter into my face. I told her I will be calling the manager abt how she is treating customers. I called and the manager was ruder. He was unhelpful and yelled at me saying I didn't do the car wash correct. I sd no it didn't work. He told me I needed to come into the store while he is working. He is off at 2pm everyday I work and can't come until 5 or 6pm. He was short with me and already upset. I mentioned his employee and he sd I am taking care of them like I am you. So I guess that means he isn't doing anything. I will not come back into this store. Ever. I can't imagine anyone reads Yelp reviews for a gas station, but whatever. I have been coming here 3-5 times/week for 10 months, ever since I moved nearby, and the employees at the very least recognized me from coming in so often. On Christmas Eve, I stopped in to fill up on a half-tank, and ran inside to get some water. When I came outside, it said that the pump had filled up almost 2 gallons more than a completely empty tank in my car can even hold. Confused, I went in and got my receipt, and the employees working told me to come back later to speak with a manager. I did so today, and explained to the managers that it's physically impossible for my car to hold that much gasoline. All I wanted was a partial refund (on principle) since I was charged for roughly twice the amount I should have been. First, they questioned if the receipt was even mine, after which I quickly verified the receipt with my debit card. Then they suggested that my car was the problem... As if my gas tank suddenly holds more gasoline. Very disappointed that they would do this to a loyal customer, who for 10 months has never had an issue with them. From now on, I will be taking all my business elsewhere, and hope they treat regular customers with more sensibility going forward. read more

I bought an $8.00 car wash during Christmas and because of deaths in my family, the 30 days expired. A couple of weeks after expiration, when I asked if it could please be extended, all the clerk said was "No" very sarcastically. I have lived nearby for 20 years and am a regular customer.
