I went to Dr. Ramer for about 5 years while living in Milwaukee, and I had a great experience all 5…read moreyears. Prior to Dr. Ramer, I had just had a filling done in almost every back tooth at another office downtown (and I had not gotten a second opinion, unfortunately), and had pain in every tooth for months after. I went to an endodontist, who advised me that because I was young, I should just wait it out rather than jumping to get root canals. Then I went to Dr. Ramer, who advised me the same thing, and recommended that I get a night guard since I grind and clench my teeth at night, and it was likely irritating the new fillings. Game changer! The pain went away. He went out of his way to make the guard comfortable, and even fixed it rather than replacing it a few years later when I chewed right through it. The front desk staff were excellent-- super friendly, never had any billing issues, and the hygienists were great as well. But mostly, Dr. Ramer was a great, conservative dentist who did not jump to any unnecessary procedures, and preferred to put watches on teeth that looked questionable rather than jumping in to drill right away and damage more tooth structure. Now I'm trying to find a dentist with a similar background in Denver--not easy!

I've been going to this office for about 10 years, and I've never had a bad experience. From simple…read morecleanings to some extensive work I've had done, the staff is professional and worked with me on everything from treatment options to payment options. I've had no problems here. The doctors ensure that you understand the procedure before they do the work. They take the time to answer any questions. They also explain thoroughly the risks associated with any work. I've been lucky; I've never had any issues with their work. (I've even filled prescriptions for pain killers that I've never needed. But I understand my situation may be unique and not all patients will be so lucky.) And, the doctor's have personality. They joke and keep everything rather light-hearted, which can put people with dental anxieties at ease. But let's face it. If you don't take care of your teeth, you're likely to have a much more negative experience at any dentists office. Take care of your teeth, and it's likely you'll never have a bad experience at a dentist's office. Bottom line, it's a great place that is welcoming and willing to work with patients to make sure they are healthy.

He chipped his teeth and we struggled finding a provider at first due to his insurance plan he had while visiting America. I myself go to Lakeshore Family and only ever had good things to say! I was happy to know we could hear for his fix and really happy with the results! What a relief and so thankful for Lakeshore Family! Proud to be a returning client!

I'm honestly still shocked by the way I was treated at this dental office…read more I came in as a new patient for a routine cleaning and checkup. I had no pain, no symptoms, and no dental emergency. Before the dentist entered the room, I politely asked the dental assistant whether it might be possible to focus on the cleaning that day and defer X-rays, due to recent medical imaging and extensive international air travel. It was a calm, normal question -- there was zero tension. When Dr. Dina Kaloti, DDS came in, everything changed. She immediately stated that all new patients must have a full set of X-rays. I explained my situation and offered a compromise: bitewing X-rays now, panoramic X-rays at a later visit. That compromise was rejected outright. During the conversation, she questioned my understanding of radiation and then said -- verbatim -- "Are you a dentist? Did you go to DDS school?" This was said in front of the dental assistant, with the door open and staff just outside. It was demeaning and completely unnecessary. She then told me that my questions were making "her and her staff uncomfortable" and said I would be asked to leave unless I agreed to all X-rays. No staff member ever appeared uncomfortable -- my interactions with them before and after were friendly and normal. Feeling pressured and not wanting to leave without care, I agreed. Ironically, during the panoramic X-ray, the chest shield was placed incorrectly and the X-ray had to be repeated, which was exactly what I had hoped to avoid. After all the X-rays were done, I was then told that because of my questions, my teeth would not be cleaned that day -- the entire reason I had come in. I returned the following day for the cleaning. The hygienist was kind and professional, but it was clear that my private medical questions from the prior visit were known within the office, which raised serious concerns about privacy. I have never been asked to leave a business or medical office in my life. Asking reasonable questions about one's care should not result in humiliation, pressure, or denial of service. I attempted multiple times to speak with the practice owner and never received a response. I would strongly caution anyone who values respectful communication and consent-based care. Also, after waiting for a personal conversation or a call with the owner after five days I have still not received a call. This is another warning to search elsewhere for dental services.
