I called that other company's teaching approach Painting by Numbers because it wasn't cohesive and intuitive for me. Also, Matt gives full hour-long lessons versus the other company that only did half hour lessons which I found to be way too short so I ended up having a fractured and incomplete understanding of the golf swing. I'm over 60 years old and a slender woman. So I don't have bulk muscle for strength. Learning how to strike the ball correctly gives me the distance. Matt teaches with intuitive, cohesive instruction and shows (sometimes with props) as well as explains why certain aspects of the swing are important so that logically it all makes sense. He is such a gifted teacher to help all the details gel without my feeling its overly analytical. Proof of his teaching is I started out hitting my 7 iron 42 yards on the Trackman and am now hitting 122 yards dead straight. Also when I started out I didn't have the ball striking skills to play18 hole courses, only 9 hole courses. I recently scored 110, 112, and 114 on a par 72 course. When people learn I've only golfed for 10 months total, they can't believe it. When they ask who is my coach, I happily share about Matt being the best ever and why. Matt is confident that I will soon be breaking 100. I can't wait!

I recently finished a 10-lesson package with GolfTec which really did nothing for me. I always…read morethought my GolfTec coach was trying to tweak my swing rather than teach me how to swing properly. Every lesson brought a new approach with little continuity. Another golfer shared the same frustrating experience and highly recommended Eddie. So far, I had 2 lessons with Eddie. The first lesson was entirely focused on the lower body; making sure I keep a balanced stance with proper waste rotation. In other words, Eddie focused on my issues by stressing the fundamentals. He was not trying to tweak but working on fixing my swing. What I really like is that for every aspect of the swing I need to work on, Eddie as an exercise that teaches me what I need to do and, as important, what it needs to feel like. I came out of there knowing that I had finally found my golf coach. The results were immediate. My second lesson focused on the swing. Again, I came out of the lesson feeling that I knew how to properly swing a golf club. Sure, it's going to take more than 2 lessons but this time, I know I am not wasting my money as I am finally getting better. My advice for you is signup for just a one-hour lesson with Eddie. You won't regret it. P.S. the setup/equipment is actually better than Golftec's.

My 2024 resolution was to improve my golf game. I was a 20 handicap. I play an average of 2 rounds…read moreper week. I bought a lesson package and my Coach Andrew Loughrin proceeded to resolve my issues: slice, chunk, no weight transfer, etc. Being a lefty player, many coaches have a hard time providing appropriate instructions but not Andrew. He seamlessly worked the computer swing clips and allowed me to visualize the parts of my swing that needed attention. He provided great drills and encouraged me to practice (LOL). The GolfTec app provides a summary and clips of the session as well. Andrew's instructions finally clicked together, few months into it, I now have a 16 handicap!!!! I just competed for the first time in the NCGA Women Net Amateur at Poppy Hills GC (a 2 days events) and WON FIRST PLACE IN MY FLIGHT!!! https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&source=web&rct=j&opi=89978449&url=https://www.youtube.com/watch%3Fv%3DuZBUWmBCCJU&ved=2ahUKEwjzvMGtjMmMAxWLJzQIHd7iHlcQtwJ6BAgMEAI&usg=AOvVaw1sBDfWFFnQwG0mQCy2tjKK Thank you Andrew!

Marcus was great. From the signing up to the instruction. He worked with my skillset (or lack…read morethereof) and didn't try to have me do things my body just won't do. This was my second set of lessons with Marcus. Unfortunately, after only one lesson of the ten I just purchased, I got a call from the Regional Manager telling me Marcus no longer worked for the company. I could only guess he got fired because I just had a lesson with Marcus that very morning and he never said anything. I also had other lessons booked with him in the future. I asked the Regional Manager about a refund and he said that I could get a refund since it was within the 30 day window of purchasing the 10 lesson package. When I was told what my refund would be, in was far less than I expected, since I only took 1 lesson. They said the way they worked their refunds was based on time, not number of lessons. Which is absurd to me. So, if after 29 days, I had not taken any lessons, I would not be refunded all of my initial payment. On the flipside, if I had taken 9 lessons in those 29 days, I would have been refunded the same amount as if I had taken zero lessons. I brought this scenario up to both the manager at the Pleasanton store (who was not friendly or helpful at all) and the Regional Manager (who was more friendly and more helpful) and they both agreed this would be the case. They also told me that there would be no way someone could take that many lessons in that short of time because of the way their scheduling works. I also explained that my first lesson was cancelled by Marcus and therefore I was shorted one lesson in that 29 day period. So, I should be compensated for that. They did not agree and went back the fact that there refund policy is based on time, and not lessons. This is a horrible policy that only benefits the company. So, while the lessons may be beneficial, beware of the company policies. There are tons of great golf instructors out there that will treat you fairly and won't mislead you. Also, please note that the lessons are based on 30 minute lessons, not 60 minutes. It's hard to get anything accomplished in 3o minutes so you end up using two lesson credits if you want an hour lesson. So my 10 30-minute lessons was really 5 60-minute lessons. This makes the cost of the package not worth it, in my opinion.

I had kids and started a business and took about 15 years off of golf. Like everyone else, I got back into golf during the pandemic. I felt like I was starting over. After a few months of scores over 100 I decided to seek out golf lessons. Steve came highly recommended by a friend. I had watched every youtube video on the web about getting rid of my slice and gave each tip an honest try. Steve taught me to focus on being relaxed and keeping a nice tempo. He also showed me how completing the rotation of my shoulders in my follow through automatically squared up my clubface at impact. In my 2nd lesson I was able to hit some of my iron shots pure. By my third lesson they were going longer and my swing felt so smooth and effortless. I started regularly shooting rounds in the low 90's on the hardest courses in the area. By lesson 6 I started to be able to regularly hit a draw on my driver with a slight inside out path, keeping my balance, and getting that club face closed with my shoulders on the follow through. I have now had 8 lessons and I am shooting in the high 80's on hard courses pretty regularly. Now pretty much every time I am out someone stops me and tells me how great and effortless my swing looks. I am hitting more fairways, more greens, and my short game lessons have improved my putting and my chipping. I am now making almost everything from 6 feet in, and have significantly improved my longer putts. I still have good days and bad days, but my bad days are better than my good days were before my lessons. Lastly, Steve is the best deal in town from a bang for your buck stand point. I paid $150 for a 4 lesson package which comes out to only $37.50 per lesson. You can't find a better deal.
